"im not lieing!" roy said lieing

"humm thats intresting" jace thought to himself

jace nodded while roy smiled clearly happy

"oh um yeah sorry about that let me give you more healing." jace landed over and placed his hand onto edgars forehead. he let a wave of healing wash out over him.

    Thank you.”

Her words were dripping with sarcasm. Jenny then froze. Had she really just said that? Jace was being kind, he’d even apologized.

”I’m so sorry, I don’t where that came from! Thank you, really. Um…”

She sat back down, feeling terrible for treating Jace like that. Her headache started to fade slightly, and along with it the red tint she hadn’t noticed on her vision.

  2. 11 minutes ago, Weaver of Lies said:

“Jenny, I’ll be ok. It’s just a little pain…well, maybe a lot of pain.” He spoke in short bursts.

Edgar was very obviously not ok, even to Jenny.

”You can hardly move. You need more help.”

They were letting him be in horrible pain.  Who cared if helping him more made them tired? Edgar had hurt himself protecting them. This was the least they could do to repay him.

  3. 11 minutes ago, Weaver of Lies said:

His eyes were squeezed tightly shut, but tears were still trickling through.

Jenny was angry. Why hadn’t Jace done a better job at healing Ed? That’s what he was there for, right? It wasn’t like he was any good at fighting. And Aaron. He wasn’t bothering to help more, either. It was obvious that Ed was in pain. Why weren’t they trying harder to fix him?

  4. 1 minute ago, Weaver of Lies said:

“Thank you for being here,” he whispered to her through clenched teeth. “I love you.”

    “I love you too.”

Jenny felt the pain in her head continue to somehow worsen, so she tilted her head to look at Ed. He was a good distraction.

He won’t always be there to save you.

  5. 1 minute ago, Weaver of Lies said:

Edgar didn’t notice, as he had squeezed his eyes shut again, trying to force the tears to stop. He was largely unsuccessful.

Jenny just laid there next to him, feeling useless. She desperately wanted him to feel better, but there was nothing she could do. All she knew how to do was hurt people. She wasn’t like Jace, or Aaron, or Rob. She couldn’t play a tune or throw a handful of flowers to magically make someone feel better. Jenny could barely bandage a wound. Ed needed her, and she couldn’t be there for him.

  6. 1 minute ago, Weaver of Lies said:

“Thank you.” He squeezed her hand.

Jenny squeezed it back, smiling at him. For the briefest of moments, it looked like her eyes were filled with red tinted shadows. This happened in the blink of an eye, however, quickly enough that one might think it was merely a trick of the light.

You cannot hold me back forever.

  7. 7 minutes ago, Weaver of Lies said:

“But I want to be by you,” he said weakly, his voice pained.

    “I won’t move, then.”

After spending so much time with Ed, Jenny was able to read him a bit better than she could other people. His current tone of voice was unfortunately a familiar one. He was hurting, badly. She wished she knew how to help him.

  8. 1 minute ago, Weaver of Lies said:

Tears broke from his eyes as he moved to be right next to her, the pain becoming too much for him to hold them back.

    “Please don’t hurt yourself.”

Jenny whispered to Ed. He tended to be awful at letting himself recover when in pain. To be fair, it wasn’t like she was any better at it. Being a hypocrite didn’t necessarily stop you from giving good advice, though.

  9. 3 minutes ago, Weaver of Lies said:

Eventually, Edgar broke away, then laid back down, trying to force his head to stop swimming and pounding so badly. Everything hurt. He felt tears on his eyes and tried to banish them.

Ed was crying. It was her fault; she’d been selfish. Jenny laid down next to him in an attempt to keep him company. She made sure to leave plenty of space between them so she didn’t accidentally touch him and hurt him.

  10. 1 minute ago, Weaver of Lies said:

“No, no, it’s ok.” He opened his eyes, blinking at the bright sunlight, then looked into her eyes. He leaned forward and kissed her, ignoring how the movement strengthened the headache.

Jenny kissed him back, trying her best to be gentle. She didn’t want to accidentally push him back to death’s door again. She likely should’ve insisted that he rest, but, well... she really liked this. He probably liked this too, anyways.

  11. Just now, Weaver of Lies said:

“I still don’t want to be the one to cause you it. But it is better than the alternative, I think.” He winced slightly, but new she needed him there.

    “Oh, sorry!”

Jenny loosened her arm, feeling awful for hurting Ed. She still forgot how strong she was, sometimes.

”Do you wanna lie back down so you can rest while we wait for Aaron to finish his plant ball thing?”

  12. Just now, Weaver of Lies said:

“I’ll…try not to be. But it’ll still be your body I’m hurting. You’ll feel the pain eventually.”

    Jenny shrugged.

”It’s just pain. I’ve dealt with it before, I’ll be fine. It’s certainly better than the alternative.”

She might not be around to feel it later, anyways. She tightened her arm around Ed at that thought.

  13. 12 minutes ago, Weaver of Lies said:

“When I…broke up with you. It hurt you, I saw it, I felt it. I will never do anything like that again. Never do anything to hurt you.”

    “Thank you.”

Jenny wrapped an arm around Ed. He understood that he really did make her happier, now.

”Just don’t be afraid to punch me if you have to, ok? You’d technically not be punching me, anyways. It’d be some evil monster thing. I wouldn’t be conscious enough to feel it, probably.”

  14. 5 minutes ago, Weaver of Lies said:

“I won’t hurt you ever again.” He closed his eyes tightly, the light and nose driving the pain in his head even further.

He was closing his eyes. Maybe he had a headache like she did. Jenny lowered her voice for both of their sakes.

“I don’t think I could live with myself if I killed one of us. I would much, much rather be hurt instead.”

    Jenny cocked her head.

”Also, what do you mean by hurting me before? I can’t think of a time when you did.”

  15. 2 hours ago, Weaver of Lies said:

“I…I don’t know.” He rested his head on her shoulder as a pounding headache started.

Ed must’ve been out for a while, then. Now that her worry about losing him had passed, Jenny was starting to really process what had happened to her. She’d been taken over by something evil, something malicious. Something that probably wanted to kill her and her friends. She hadn’t gotten rid of it completely, either. She’d just returned it to the state it had been in before it possessed her. Would this happen again?

“If I try to kill one of us, please do whatever it takes to stop me.”

    @RoyalBeeMage

  16. Just now, Weaver of Lies said:

Edgar slowly sat up, groaning from the pain again. He swayed slightly, his vision blurring, then wrapped an arm around Jenny.

He wasn’t answering her. Jenny began to sound frantic. She glanced around at the rest the group, inspecting them for injuries.

    ”Did I hurt anyone?”

She tried to support Ed, helping him stay sitting up. She wanted to chastise Ed and make him rest, but she selfishly wanted his comfort.

  17. 2 minutes ago, Weaver of Lies said:

    He squeezed her hand gently.

“I don’t remember everything that happened. Did I… did I hurt anyone?”

The voice had been urging her to do that for so long. It would make sense for it to jump at the opportunity to attack her friends. She shrunk in on herself, terrified of the answer.

  18. 7 hours ago, RoyalBeeMage said:

"i dont have any ulterior motive!" roy said starting to get a little agitated by this encounter.

jace nodded and bent over to start healing edgar. "what happened to you edgar? actually i should ask the same of you as well jenny!"

“I’ve had this voice in my head for a while. It didn’t do much other than annoy me before, but this time it managed to take control somehow.”

Jenny rubbed her temples in an attempt to alleviate her headache. Her voice quieted.

    ”I almost faded away.”

1 hour ago, Weaver of Lies said:

Edgar coughed. “Chimera,” he said weakly.

She grabbed Ed’s hand again to remind herself that he was still there.

  19. 6 minutes ago, Weaver of Lies said:

He couldn’t move well, so he just smiled up at her, ignoring the pain for a moment. “I love you.”

    “I love you too.”

Jenny was a blubbering mess by this point. She didn’t move for a while, continuing to let herself cry. Eventually, she looked to Jace and Aaron.

”Can you guys help Ed hurt less?”

    @RoyalBeeMage

    @Scars of Hathsin

  20. Just now, Weaver of Lies said:

Edgar wasn’t moving. Then, slowly, he drew in a rattling breath and groaned. “Ow.”

Jenny threw her arms around Ed, careful to avoid worsening his injuries. He was alive. He was in pain, but alive. Shaking with relief, she quit trying to hold back her tears.

  21. Just now, Weaver of Lies said:

He kissed her back, pulling her as close as he could.

     The dream disappeared.

Edgar’s felt pain. So much pain.

Jenny felt herself rapidly pulled back to the waking world. Either Ed had woken up or the worst had happened. She immediately looked to the side.

    ”Ed?!”

  22. Just now, Weaver of Lies said:

“I’m doing my best to not make that a reality.”

Jenny nodded silently. He was trying. She was still terrified. She then kissed Ed, just in case she wouldn’t get the chance to do that again.
