Jenny had forgotten about her injuries again. Walking that much had admittedly increased the dull pain in her limbs. Talking had also made her cheek ache. ”It hurts a bit more. It’s not bad enough to be much of a problem, though.” She’d eat a tiny amount of ambrosia later so she wouldn’t be hindered during any fights they got into.
-
“It’s ok, I don’t want you to hurt yourself more.” Jenny called out to the group members ahead of them that she could still see, who were about to turn a corner. ”Please slow down a bit!” She didn’t specifically mention her or Edgar’s injuries for fear that Aaron would try and force them to use crutches or stretchers. @Scars of Hathsin @RoyalBeeMage @The Clarinetist @.....

Jenny’s smile returned, although she still felt terrible. She’d have to pay extra attention to Edgar’s injuries for the next few days as he healed. ”Sorry, again.” Everyone else was getting pretty far ahead. She considered running after them, but Edgar seemed to be too hurt to run. Jenny tried to memorize where the others turned.
-
Jenny smiled at his words, but it immediately went away when she realized she’d hurt him. ”Oh, I’m so sorry! Your hand, I didn’t realize-“ She loosened her grip, feeling awful. His hand looked burnt. How had she not remembered that?
-
“Yes. Just happy. I didn’t think you’d actually like me this way.” Jenny felt a little embarrassed saying that, but she also didn’t want to lie to him. His concern made her feel a bit guilty, although she also liked that someone really cared about her.
-
“It is.” Jenny squeezed his hand too. She felt a bit like she was going to pass out. This was a lot. In a good way, definitely, but still a lot. She wasn’t entirely sure how to process someone liking her as a friend, let alone liking her romantically.
-
Jenny somehow managed to blush even deeper. It seemed like he liked her in the same way. She didn’t really understand why, but that didn’t matter. Despite the pressure of the quest and facing painful memories, she was happy. Her grin was so wide that she felt silly. She moved a tiny bit closer too.
-
Jenny was genuinely surprised. Edgar actually wanted to hold her hand! He was blushing, but also grinning. That was probably a good sign. A really good one. She grinned too. Jenny was still nervous, but not in a bad way, somehow. The others were discussing what they’d do when they arrived at the bus station. That was probably important, but Jenny was distracted. She selfishly hoped that it would be a long walk there.
-
Jenny internally was now freaking out. Had he done that on purpose? Had he almost held her hand and then chickened out like she did? Focusing on his expression, it looked like he was blushing. Was that good or bad? She didn’t want to lose her opportunity for this. But she also didn’t want to drive him away. Friends held hands sometimes, right? Maybe he wouldn’t be mad at her if he didn’t feel the same way about her. Jenny hesitantly reached out and tried to hold his hand. She looked away, afraid of his reaction.

Jenny had no idea what to do. Had he moved his hand intentionally or on accident? She went to grab his hand, then immediately regretted the decision and aborted the action halfway through. She ended up just accidentally bumping her hand against his. Now she was straight up embarrassed.

Here’s a nice rug. I have a log.

It depends on my mindset going into something. If a book doesn’t take itself too seriously, then I don’t either (in a good way). What’s your favorite type of soup?

Jenny noticed it too. Should she… no, she shouldn’t. Edgar wouldn’t like that. She blushed at the idea and kept glancing at their hands regardless. Hopefully he wouldn’t notice that. She did a very poor job of hiding it.

Jenny nodded. “I will.” She would’ve been fine, but it seemed like she was worrying Edgar. She decided to be more careful so she didn’t stress him out. She now started to look both ways before crossing a street.

There’s no way all of this stuff is true. If it were, Chuck Norris would come to my house and slam my head on the keybkwiehb!iwin838(!.!@&;!3kfivp

Jenny smiled at that. Did Harold know where he was going? She certainly didn’t. Jenny narrowly avoided getting hit by a car as she distractedly crossed the road. She’d forgotten about that illegal thing. What was it called, bird-walking? @Weaver of Lights @The Clarinetist @Scars of Hathsin

Chuck Norris originally appeared in the "Street Fighter II" video game, but was removed by Beta Testers because every button caused him to do a roundhouse kick. When asked about this glitch, Norris replied "That's no glitch."
-
That made quite a bit of sense. Poor Harold must’ve been miserable. ”Well then it’s good that was a relatively short ride. I’d imagine the Grey Sisters’ driving didn’t help much. Hopefully the bus driver is less extreme.” Jenny looked around at everyone else. ”To the bus station, then?” @Weaver of Lights @Scars of Hathsin @RoyalBeeMage

Chuck Norris was once charged with three attempted murders, but the Judge quickly dropped the charges because Chuck Norris does not "attempt" murder.

This thread answers your questions pretty well. Basically, the spikes give inquisitors 360 vision and x-ray vision.

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH (foxes sound like a woman being murdered based on my firsthand experience). TPBM can raise one eyebrow.
