  1. "Another one?" someone said. "Geez, how many times has that happened on TLT?"
  2. (she's lying on the ground, BTW) Astral regarded the thing with an air of boredom and closed her eyes again, laying her head back down. "Leave me, apparition," she said. -------- Rose screamed, coming to herself in sweat, in darkness, and in great pain. She cried out softly, her head throbbing painfully. For some torturous, extended moments, she could do nothing but moan, hands pressed to her head, trapped within her own body, limbs shaking. “Stormfather…” she muttered. She whimpered, tears streaming down her round cheeks. Headaches were common for the girl and she’d learned to mostly suffer through them, but occasionally one would come with such force that she would be immobilized for some period of time. It was torture, but it was life and there was nothing she could do about it. Only time could take her pain away from her. Head still pounding, she threw off her covers and stumbled out of bed, hoping from fresh air might aid her. Each of her footfalls sounded loud in her overly sensitive ears and when she pulled open her balcony doors, the sound of the handle boomed. She panted slightly, making her way out into the warm Alethi air. Wind blew through her loose, white-blonde hair and she closed her eyes, letting herself breath. To try and stop her trembling, she wrapped her arms tightly around her waist. She took deep breaths for a few minutes more, then opened her eyes, looking up at the stars. Star. Her mother. No, she thought, pushing the memories away, shoving them back down into the depths of her heart. Leave me be tonight. So much was going wrong. Granite had left, Max was dead. She was more alone than ever. The nightmares had begun returning and they had already begun to wrap around her throat with the intent to strangle her. She often asked herself why she was the subject of such torment. But then, as the offspring of Death and whatever unholy being a Narrator was, what more did she really expect? She hung her head, anguished.
  3. Astral closed her eyes, resigned to her forcefield-prison. The world raged around her, but she would hear none of it. Thoughts stirred in her mind of her miserable self. Emotions were her enemy and greatest power. They killed her and defined her. Feeling confused and distressed, she began to sing. I hurt myself today To see if I still feel I focus on the pain The only thing that's real The needle tears a hole The old familiar sting Try to kill it all away But I remember everything What have I become My sweetest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end And you could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt I wear this crown of filth Upon my liars chair Full of broken thoughts I cannot repair Beneath the stains of time The feelings disappear You are someone else I am still right here What have I become My sweetest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end And you could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt If I could start again A million miles away I will keep myself I would find a way
  4. From the album: The Longest Thread (Misadventures)

I did it. I figured out proportions. I'm in awe. This was my first test to try a system for it and needless to say it worked and I am so flippin' proud of it. This drawing is also cool because Star is wearing the blouse she did when this happened. What an iconic moment, am I right? And finally this drawing is just really cool 'cause I was actually able to give Star the shape she should have. I was originally not going to post this, but it just turned out so well and it makes me so happy.
  5. Star regarded the door warily. Her head was still pounding, though it was less painful now. More like a beating drum, pulsing inside of her. Originating from the doorway. "Someone's behind there," Star said pensively. "We can't just leave them."
  6. Hi, everyone. I did a thing in my art class and it has strong Dark Alley Vibes. Sorry the picture is so awful, my chrombook's camera sucks and we didn't have much time.
  7. FT was making an effort to understand it though. Besides, there are rules inside the forcefield. That's... kinda the point of the forcefield. It separates the randomness from the plot.
  8. Ah. See, there are two problems with this. First of all, Sophie is not on a different plane than all of you. "Planes" are different threads, actually. No, Sophie is simply in a different part of the TLT Narrational plane, a part which she has sectioned off to keep the plot safe from tampering. That said, I would have very little problem with you jumping in... except for the fact that Astral's forcefield is very, very, very small. Only enough room for one person. She is laying down, and her forcefield is on her like a sarcophagus. Make sense?
  9. "Well, go on, try to pull it out." Star inwardly groaned. She was much more comfortable with enemies she could chop apart than mind-bending puzzles like this one.
  10. Star raised an eyebrow. "Odd that it has a star on it. Seems kinda foreboding to me. Like it knew I was coming." Star thought on this. She really had made herself quite the player in the games of Fate and Destiny. Left her mark on history as a villain. Hopefully she could make a mark doing good as well. And then getting my storming happy ending...
  11. "Author, what does it take to help someone out..." Star mumbled. "Any ideas? I'm a bit out of sorts at the moment."
  12. Star glared at the door flatly, frustrated. "I wonder if Ember could bust through this thing," she said. "Should I summon her?"
  13. ... What just happened? Here, lemme draw you a diagram and you can figure it out for yourself. Sometimes a lack of agreement on the set-up makes things confusing.
  14. Star Narrated and floated upwards next to the door. As she moved to open it, however, she found that it was locked. She tried Narrating it. No luck. She scoffed. "How are we supposed to get in there?"
  15. Sophie got angry. This was not something that happened often, but it was something that happened now. She narrowed her eyes, feeling an odd surge of stupidity. Er, bravery. She wasn't sure. She let down the forcefield that contained her and Aqua (though she kept Astral in hers) and rushed forward to Xinoehp's side. She could heal him. She had healed Jay before from his wither-wounds, now she could heal Xino as well. She knelt beside him, not caring what the storms might happen to her, and summoned healing power to her blue fingers. Her hand lit up with a warm and glaring blue light and she pressed her fingers up against her friend's chest. For a moment, she found herself growing self-conscious. She realized that she'd never actually touched Xinoehp before and she still had a pretty strong crush on him. She blushed as her healing power surged into him, but held to the glaring anger that burned within her. No longer would she let things happen to her. Watching Xinoehp do all of that was both inspiring and terrifying all at the same time. If the Witherlord wanted to come and fight her, she would hold him back with her forcefields and keep him away.
  16. Star pulled away from Pheo, hands sweaty and shaking. She took a deep breath. "My telepathy confirms that whoever's in trouble is behind there." She sighed. "Here goes nothing, I guess..." With that, she pulled open the door.... @Jaywalk
  17. *slaps* *sends back to TLT* Storm you, I thought Xino had posted something and now I'm sad!!!
  18. TVG rejoiced upon seeing the long textwalls of plot.
  19. I've never actually said that that was my specific reasoning for drawing her that way, but whatever. This was the conversation on my Inktober thread. So yeah. Same idea.
