  1. The Narrator nodded. "I know. It sucks, doesn't it? But that's what happened. That's real life. See, this is a true story. And true stories don't end happily." The Narrator paused. "Well, at least, stories without True Love. Star didn't have True Love. Yet."
  2. "Her soul split in two because of how anguished she was. I told you, she was unhappy."
  3. "They lived unhappily ever after, what more do you need to know?" said the Narrator.
  4. There was a happy woman named Star who lived with her husband Marsh. And then both of them got their lives ruined and Marsh killed himself and their children were orphaned. The end.

For some reason I had this fabulous idea to draw Granite wearing the same outfit as Heather in a sort of flirtatious gesture. Heather is annoyed for that, I guess - though Heather doesn't really need a specific reason to be annoyed at anyone does she? - Granite is blushing. It's adorable and I can't wait for these two to meet. Hopefully that happens sooner than later.
  6. Granite paled. What the storms, he thought. He paused, mouth frozen open and looked around. Of the three other people on the mountain top, he only recognized Sophie. He looked back at Michael. What's a mime? he thought. No. Ask about Mom. "Can you tell me about my mom? Please."
  7. Granite took Michael's hand and got up. "Uh, hi," he said. "How do you know me...?"
  8. Granite passed the lip of the mountain, then stopped burning steel and threw himself onto the top. Panting, he pulled himself up to see.. "Aunt Sophie?" Sophie looked over toward her nephew. Her eyes widened. "Granite? Oh my Author, what are you doing here?"
  9. "You'll be okay, Aqua," Sophie offered. "We did it!" ------ Granite could see the top of the mountain. He was only a few feet away from answers.
  10. "Oh! Hi, Aqua." Sophie smiled. "See, I didn't kill you, I told you I wouldn't."
  11. "Yeah, I think so! She's okay, right?" Sophie suddenly realized that she hadn't heard Aqua speak and looked around for her.
  12. Sophie twirled a lock of her hair. "I don't know," she said. "I mean, I don't think so. But... XINO IS ALIVE!" She giggled, jumping up and down. "He was dead and I was really sad, but then Aqua and I did this weird fuse thingy and we turned back time and now Xinoehp is alive!!! Isn't that great, Michael?"
  13. Sophie nodded emphatically, so happy she was literally glowing. "Yes!" she said. "Yes, yes, yes!"
  14. "I don't know!" Sophie said. She giggled again, blushing, and her hair moved to hide her face because of it, but she batted it away and it continued to swirl pleasantly.
  15. "You were dead," Sophie explained. "But now you're not and we're gonna make it stay that way!" She giggled, hair curling and uncurling around her face in response to her joy.
  16. Sophie grinned and resisted the very strong urge to tackle him with a hug. "We turned back time!" she said excitedly.
  17. Sophie pulled the breaks on time, straining herself to do so. Her forehead beaded with sweat. Wow... Sophie thought.
  18. Oh, Sophie thought. Hmm... She focused in, centered herself, and reached out with her mind, holding the idea of time within her telepathic grasp. And then, she pushed back. As she did, things began to move. Backwards. It was an unnerving feeling. At first, things moved lethargically, but as she gained momentum, it began winding to a more manageable pace. When do I stop?
  19. Okay. Sophie blinked. Or tried to. Woah, she thought. Aqua? Whadda we do now?
  20. I'm assuming Sophie and Aqua are unaffected by the time stop?
