I would like to nominate @Shard of Thought. I’m not quite sure which award yet, she’s deserving of so many.

Edit: I have to nominate her for Breakout Star for obvious reasons.

Dubstep?! In MY Star Wars?! Booooooo!

It's also odd that we probably won't get a continuation of the story next season:

Based on the show episodes being called chapters and the first two seasons being Chapter 1 through 16, I think the Book of Boba Fett will be Season 3 and will focus on how Boba Fett survived, a little of what he was doing before events of season 2, and a little about his criminal empire.

Moff Gideon will be in Rangers of the New Republic.

Meanwhile, Ashoka is going to be doing her thing.

    I don't know when/if we'll see Grogu, Din and Bo-Katan again.

    Spoiler

I have to disagree. Reportedly the “Book of Boba Fett” is a new spinoff show, which would make a lot more sense considering the loose threads left by this season’s finale. I have trouble imagining how a show with Boba Fett’s criminal empire would tie into a big crossover with Rangers of the New Republic and Ahsoka, whereas it feels like a quest to retake Mandalore from the Imperial Remnants could tie in nicely with the other shows. It’s possible this will be Season 3, but considering that Bo-Katan and Ahsoka have a connection already and that this finale very clearly set up some sort of conflict between Bo and Din over the Darksaber, I think a show literally called “The Mandalorian” is more likely to focus on Mandalore itself than a criminal underworld. Sure, there might be Mandalorian bounty hunters, but that’s far from the only things Mandalorians are.

(In addition to this, Jon Favreau said they’re waiting for Pedro Pascal to be available before they start filming Season 3. I think that’s pretty much confirmation.)

As for Grogu, I think he’s gone for good. The Empire harvested his blood for cloning purposes, and now that they’ve done that they don’t completely need the child to create Snoke/Resurrect Palps/whatever the heck else they’re planning to do. And to be honest, I don’t want Grogu back. He served his purpose in humanizing Din, and now that more story has been set up without Grogu in it, I would be far more interested in seeing Din progress further on his path instead of having another season of “going to find another Jedi to take the Child.”

  3. Oathbringer has to be my favorite, it's just so good. It was incredibly dense, and while I absolutely loved Rhythm of War, I felt that a lot of the scientific stuff dragged at times. Of course, I still need to reread Rhythm of War, which will likely be when I make that decision as to which is my favorite--I think Stormlight books are significantly more enjoyable on a reread.

As of now, my order is OB, RoW, WoR, and WoK.

  4. Spoiler

Loved this episode! Last week’s was an adrenaline rush but didn’t sit too well with me afterwards. I was very glad to have some more character building and development in both Din and Mayfeld, and I thought the action, world building, and character beats were very well balanced. Shoutout to Rick Famuyiwa for directing a fantastic episode!

I’m also loving the amount of connectivity coming with Dave Filoni bringing in the greater Star Wars universe. Operation Cinder was referenced which is huge, and for those who watched the Bad Batch trailer revealed yesterday, will Fennec Shand’s appearance in that show give backstory to her line in this episode saying that she was wanted by the Empire? For the first time in a while I have a lot of hope with where Star Wars is going, and I can’t wait to watch it expand.

"I... I don't think it's that powerful," said Gerald, somewhat shaken. A dream crystal? he thought to himself. What...? How?

A voice made a soft sound almost like a laugh.

"Nice trinket you've got there," said Y.

@Mystic Syn, this is the character I was referring to on your status update.

The boy buried his face in his hands. “None of us are worthy of the power...”

A knife took him in the chest. He stumbled back, looking at the blood dribbling down his shirt.

Gerald's eyes widened as he gazed at the amulet.

What is the exact nature of the amulet?

    @Ookla the Wistful

“Please,” the boy said. “I don’t want it.”

You could say it’s a godmodding tool. You’d be able to exert quite a bit of control over the environment.

    "Well," said Gerald. "That's awkward."

The boy held out the amulet to Gerald. “Take it. Please. Far away from here.”

"Took... his power away?" Q thought about it for a second, then shrugged. "Well, at least it's not the weirdest thing I've ever seen." She pursed her lips. "Better question: Why did you do it?"

“His power was in the amulet. He... took my parents away.”
