Wow... Again! I haven't been elevated! I guess that is not as bad as going insane or being brought onto the horns. @Zillah Our icons went green in support of mental awareness month. And it looks like I just got ninja'd. @Haelbarde, okay, I will release to baby into your hands through RP. --- Lasko couldn't think anymore. None. Nada. None. Nada. None. Nada. He was going insane. He was not up to being the primary caregiver for this child. He just couldn't handle it. No wonder Sagaer went insane, part of it was taking care of his child. He felt proud of himself for taking care of the child when nobody else would, he he just could not handle it. He would have to find someone else to take care of this baby. ---- The next morning Lasko woke up early, he left the baby sleeping on the couch. He would go to the Archive and write flyers that he would post around the University and Village. Perhaps soemone would answer the clal can take the baby from him and be a able primary caregiver as Sagaer is healed in the crockery. The flyer went like this. Primary Caregiver Wanted Sagaer Murtoy left a baby behind, in his horrifying lapse of mind. He was sent to the Crockery due to going insane. I Lasko Vietch am not able to take care of this baby anymore, she is a young baby and no family is known yet. If you would contact me please …(PM me, we can arrange an RP post). The new caregiver must be able to financially support this baby, feed this baby, pay attention needed to this baby. If you are not able to do any of these things please do not contact me to become the primary caregiver.

Okay, reading your post I did not mean to put two votes on GreeneRover. Oops. I'll keep one vote on him though. @Straw do you have a list of players that don't have a vote on them yet, I know you're interested on spreading those votes out. @Haelbarde, I think that what I will do is continue to RP with the baby this part of the term, then I will RP not being able to handle the stress next part of the term and you can have the baby. --- Cas was crying again! Lasko woke up for the fifth time that night to Cas crying. How did Sagaer stand it! You couldn't study with it, and you can't sleep with it. Lasko got out o bed and began working on trying to get Cas to sleep. After the baby was asleep again Lasko decided that he better study. he had tried to find somebody in the archives but nobody would give him a lick of their time. He really just needed to make friends with that one beet seller. He really needed some sleep! After an hour of studying he decided to continue working on the board game that he had been working on over the course of this term. Maybe inviting people to play a board game would help people notice how nice Lasko could be, maybe it could lessen the stress that came from studying for the students at the university.

Okay... The Linguistic ability dynamic is really interesting, and the overlordish core village group sounds like it wouldn't be fun at all. I haven't really looked into the plum bobs but hat would be interesting as a way to get information, that is a good way to not get friends. For those who have played Sanderson Elimination before at what point do you start to wonder at statements that are seemingly innocent. Are they saying that he doesn't have enough time to RP with me but he does for the baby? How much has Haelbarde interacted with other through RP. Why would he distance himself from me while asking for the baby. How often to eliminators only stick to other eliminators for RP'ing. Maybe I am just going crazy but something seems a bit off with this post, anybody else? Also, how often do Skindancers go after people that are after them, how much at this point should we pay attention to the theories and I dea of those sent to the Crockery that the Skindancers theoretically want to get rid of. --- Lasko sat in his kitchen, silently rocking the little Murtoy. Sagaer had never told him what her name was and at this point he was a bit tired of saying "little Murtoy". "I think that until your father gets back I will call you Cas." "Where is your mother Cas? Do you have any family that can take care of you?" The baby answered with a babble, the little girl was still red faced from being out in the street for a whole day. "How did Sagaer manage his studies, schooling, and taking care of you, what did he do with you while he was at school?" Lasko needed to search the school records, he would never have an opportunity though, he needed someone that was studying in the Archives. Lasko then got up and took the baby to the makeshift bed that Lasko had made in the corner of the couch. Lasko then opened his side bag and put some of his books on the couch as well. He would study here by the baby, just like Sagaer did. Hopefully he wouldn't go crazy like him... He just had to find some help for some in the Archives.

Highlight the second line and you will see Elbereth's secret message. @Elbereth and @Sart Lasko will take the baby, but before I RP I want do a bit of complaining and some questioning. First of all, everybody ignored my offer at an RP, I guess I will just RP with the baby girl. Second, I wonder if this the candy thing is just a ploy by someone to distract us. Hmmm, nobody has claimed the sending of the candy or the lack of getting the candy/note. --- Grumbling a bit that those students completely ignored him, Lasko continued through the rest of the days classes. I mean who does that, I thought I asked at least one non-stupid question. This divide between commoners and nobles was starting to really get to be annoying. As Lasko sat through the last five minutes of his class, the thought that something happened gnawed on him, he just didn't focus at all during his classes and for one reason or another he couldn't ask any other students. He stopped a random student and asked what happened. That student told him to go away. What is wrong with people today! Lasko decided to try one more time at getting the answer he was looking for. He stopped one more student asking the question that burned into his head now. The answered the question by replying with the simple answer of, "Another student was sent to the Crockery after he was found to have gone crazy.", the student then left Lasko sputtering. What! He broke! He seemed all right when I saw him last. Turning his thoughts to the last time he saw Sagaer, there was another student. It was Knighter, right? I ought to put a complaint on him. GreenRover. --- Lasko turned to searching for Sagaer's baby, he decided that he would take care of her if no one else had already decided to. He eventually found the baby crying on the street. Tucked behind a trash can. How could nobody have noticed her, how could they have no wanted to take care of her and find her parents. Lasko decided that until Sagaer got out of the Crockery, he would take care of the little Murtoy. --- As for vote count- Zilla(1): DeTess Araris(1): Lord_Silberfarben Lopen(1): Xino Elandera(1): Young Bard Karnage(1): Coda GreenRover(1): Karnage

Well, I guess now that we are in term 2 (at least I think that is the correct terminology) things are getting pretty serious. We have to find the one student who didn't get a piece of candy! Seriously I am genuinely curious on who didn't. If someone wants to come out and say that they didn't get candy and a not maybe we can do some detective work. Could it be a clue to something, so generously given to us by someone? I was thinking that maybe this is connected somehow to the one Linguistics ability that says "write a message that is spread around the university with a group of friends". But nobody was elevated until today, was this an example of how it might be used or was this for story purposes by Elbereth. As for Sagaer Murtoy/ Sart, that sucks! We didn't even have a real chance to RP together. I am counting on you to break out of the Crockery. @Sart . For RP reasons I am going to vote on GreenRover, as Knighter was the last person Lasko saw with Sagaer and for being suspicius about only going up to Sagaer after he left the group! And still what is up with the candy/note thing?

How does this look now? Since I changed it so he is a lifeless can I bring back the Aviar or would it be best just to leave it off. Also since Aviar hasn't been explored very well in Brandon's books have people been making their own powers for Aviar? @Sorana Also how active is the Allyverse usually, now that this is at the end of an era I get that things might be even more active or less active.

Is there an update to any of the music?

Lasko Vietch woke up. Today felt a bit different. Lasko got up, got dressed, and gathered his books. He grabbed a banana, peeled it halfway and bit into it as he opened the door. In the middle of a bite of his banana he saw a note and a piece of candy. Did it say, did it say- Happy New Term?. That sure is strange! He picked it up and slipped it into his pocket, he might just eat it as a snack in between one of his classes. --- Walking through the open gate of the University, Lasko Vietch could definitely tell that something was going on. There were rumors of Skindancers traveling around the school, Lasko knew that the rumors coudn't be true but it still gave him the shivers to think about it. The candy that he had almost seemed to sear a piece a hole into his pocket. He stopped by a group of students who were obviously downtrodden. "Whats up, something happened didn't it? Why is everyone so downtrodden?" (open to anyone that wants to join it). He looked around the group, half of them had hoods over their heads so he couldn't tell who was who. --- I agree with Elkanah that the write up was both great and devastating. I am also a bit sad that I haven't been elevated. More tomorrow.

@Archer @Voidus and whomever else is a moderator. Anyone feel free to comment of this/ make suggestions. What works, what doesn't, does it need to be trashed? Hopefully my first character might work out... Also suggested guilds? Also is there a list? Also, should I save this character for Era 5/ when does Era 5 start.

Dude, seriously good insight! That all makes a lot of sense. Now that the Shin are far past being a war-like nation (unless Brandon pulls a huge twist, though with soldiers being slaves I seriously doubt that this could happen) and from what we know, a pretty peaceful nation. Along with Aimia ( which has no major groups of humans I presume so they cannot be majorly warlike, I think that Diomedes original notion makes sense.

As soon as Lasko gave him a beet Sagaer started to run away! What was up with that! Just because someones a commoner doesn't give you the right to be so rude to them, wait, was Sagaer a commoner too? The distinction between the classes was thin sometimes, even commoners could act more like nobles than nobles do. I ought to cut him a bit of slack though, he has a lot on his mind with the baby to care for and trying to study with the distraction and all. I'll catch up with them later. The beets girl stepped forward a bit saying, "Oh, Amila, you know this guy? Awesome! Any friend of Amilas is a friend of mine! The name is Traelynn Weeks from Weeks Beets. I'll ask your name but I'm going to keep talking a little bit longer so could you maybe remember all the questions I ask and answer all of them? That'd be real deevy of ya. So yeah! You know my name now, what's yours?" "Ohh yah, I'll try to remember all your questions." or at least i'll try. "My name is Lasko Vietch." Before he could say a word Traelynn kept on with her almost maybe interrogation- but friendly-like. Responding to the statement that she was trying to get Agriculture as an official field of study Lasko said, "Really, agriculture? I would have never pegged you to be the type go into it." Getting no laughs he said, "I just joking, it sounds like quite a worthy endeavor, do you know if there are many people that might come to the University for that field of study?" Before he answered his question she went on asking her questions again. "Also, if you don't mind my askin' what's with that other guy you were talkin' to? Somethin' got him on edge? I mean he peeled out of here really fast. I know about that one guy who went bonkers but I mean that's just the one guy, right? It can't be that huge a deal. I mean everyone's kinda been on edge, there is a different feel to the place since it happened, but I guess I convinced myself that it was all in my head." "Lasko looked to where Sagaer split off. Lasko has a bit biffed that he hadn't even been able to have a meaning full conversation. "Well, I can't tell you for sure, but I think he's got a lot on his mind. He's got a baby and all, and I think he came here for a walk not to buy wares. You're right this places feel is starting to change with that one guy going to the Crockery. I think that mabey we just need a little space till things get back to normal." @Zillah @Kynedath --- I'll cast my vote on Sart. What happened buddy, I answered the call to the RP and you left me for someone else... Ok, gotta go. Signing out.

Before Sagaer could answer, a excitable young women called out to the two of them and swung a box full of beets. Lasko didn't know about Sagaer but he could barely keep up with her. Something about Beta Vulgarius..., wait, what is that? B9, Folate, higher academic acumen? I think she is talking about those beets that she is holding, trying to make a sells pitch... I got to answer before I make a fool of myself. "Those beets look wonderful, I am sure that I can trust your word that those beets there will help with my academic studyin. I could smell those things a while away, they almost seemed to call me... how did you grow them to be so alluring? How about this.. I will buy 2 for myself and one for my friend over here his name is Sagaer. How much are the beets." Noticing another young lady, noticeably shier, she looked like she could be studying at the university as well as me. " Say, haven't I sen you at the University?" said pointedly at he other young lady. He didn't know if either of them went to the university or not, Lasko just wanted to have some conversation as he paid of his beets. @Kynedath @Sart @Zillah

I'll go on a walk with you! --- Sorry for not posting as much this turn. As for Coda, that is really unfortunate! I don't really have any analysis to add so I'll contribute to RP. --- Walking down the street, after his studies were done. Lasko Vietch could smell the great diversity of smells travelling from the shops and merchants that were selling their wares, trying their best to temp buyers to their shop. I am hungry but I have food at home... was that the smell of beets? Those are the best smelling beets I have ever smelled. Where is that coming from. Looking around, he was searching for the source of the smell, nowhere in sight could he see any beets. Hopefully he could find some somewhere on his walk. @Kynedath As he continued walking the streets his thoughts kept on returning to that noble. Not being there when he broke and was sent to the Crockery, Lasko Vietch shuddered at the memory of his own parents telling him about their experience at the Crockery, or at least what they remembered from it. Noticing someone that he faintly remembered meeting in one of his classes, he tried thinking of his name. Sager... not that, Sagger... nope, Sa'gger... definitly not, Sagaer.... thats the one! Wait, didn't he say something about his having a baby? I think so. "Hey, Sagaer, wait up!" Lasko said, catching up to his acquaintance. "Hows it going, how your baby girl? Did you finish of the work for (insert shared class here)?". @Sart --- As for voting... what commoner hasn't been voted on yet. We are onto commoners, right? Heck, I don't have time right now I will vote for Detess. If they have already been voted on just @ me and I get around to changing it.

"Oh, she definitely told me to be careful at night." Athdara turned toward Lasko again. This was exciting. It was the first day of term and she was already making new friends. "But there's this place I want to visit. They're supposed to host some of the best musicians alive there. I do love music. Besides, I bet it's nice to get away from all the school stresses once in a while. I know I would need some time off. Maybe we could all go together sometime. So, what do you want to study here? You seem pretty organized. I bet something like rhetoric or linguistics." Just as he was about to answer Athdara's question a student swung around right in front of Bryn's seat. Curious I wonder what he wants... He whispered something to the three of them (Bryn, Athdara, Lasko) but Lasko couldn't here what he said. Lasko would have to talk to him later. Perhaps after class. Then he saw Bryn say something back. Yes, that looks interesting. Focusing back on Athdara's question, Hmmm, Linquistics sounds interesting, but not Rhetoric, though both would be more interesting than studying Arithmetics. "Well, I was planning on only studying Arithmetics, but now that you mention Linguistics, that also sounds intriguing.". Maybe he could double major? "Hmmm, do you know of any fun things to do here? I was think that I might join a club or something I dunno. Also, we should head to Imre sometime, maybe spend sometime checking it out. We could invite that guy over there talking to Bryn." I probably out to listen to the introduction, I need to know how to do stuff, but maybe making friends is more important for him at the beginning of the school year though. --- Now for voting..... Sart sounds like a good name for sharing the voting around. I am not sure if he has spoken up yet. @Sart

"Hello Bryn, my name is Lasko Vietch" feeling suddenly tired he decided to just listen to some of their conversation for a bit while he rested. . Bryn did seem excited about something. There is something about starting a new school year that is both terrifying and exciting at the same time. The terrifying part being especially relevant, this year having so many rumors about Skindancers dancing through the school. Alchemy? Naming? Too much mysticism, he would stay to the less arcane arts. Athdara turned to Bryn and asked "Oh, have you been to Imre yet? I've heard so much about it from my mom.". Lasko decided to enter the conversation, lifting his head from the desk. "I have not, it sounds kind of dangerous in a back alley way. My parents didn't talk much about it, they just talked mainly about the schooling part of the University. How about you, have you heard much about Imre, is it as dangerous as I think it may be?". Lasko said hoping that is didn't sound too much like he was butting in. These two students seemed nice though. I wonder what Bryn's history with the school might be? Lasko noticed how Athdara has taken out her books, while his classmate answered he decided to take out his books as well, organizing them by relevance, he then took out his (quills/pencils/writing/utensils) and organized them is agonizing temperment on the very edge of the table. "Just for a challenge" he though to himself. @Elandera @Burnt Spaghetti

Ditching the thought that he might be included with the musicians, he decided to quickly get to his first class. Impressing a (master/teacher) couldn't be too bad right? Not seeing any assigned seats he jumped into the one that called out to him. The desk that was both middle in the middle row and the middle column, the exact middle. That's exactly how he felt he was, the middle of the pack. "This is the year to fix that" he thought to himself. Hopefully, his ending at the school would be met with a celebration for his graduation instead of the Crockery and being humiliated in front of his family and all of the University. After a little waiting with a few students sliding into desks into desks around the room, Lasko was attempting to find anything that he could about the other students based on where they sat. Interrupting his analysis a girl sat to the desk next to him saying, "Hello, I'm Athdara Tolmach. You can call me Athy. Whats your name?". "Who, me? My name is Lasko Vietch, it's pretty cold outside isn't it?" he said noticing some snow left on her shoes. She must have come directly from outside to our class. Well, at least she was timely and nice. @Elandera

So, going into this game I was thinking that I might have a random poke vote today, then tomorrow vote on someone to get them to get on the thread as a second poke vote as it gets closer to the end of the turn. I also would prefer the 1st scenario and I agree that we need to spread out the votes. I've got to go but I will be back later.

Hemalurgic Headshot, does this look better? Okay, maybe it's just me, but looking at past games there are two ways that people try to remain out of suspicion. Or… that people think that others are trying to remain out of suspicion, I dunno I am kinda getting turned around in all of the politickings. Well anyway, the ways being, posting a lot of analysis, or not posting a whole lot. Posting just enough not to be targeted but not enough to be really into the conversation. Do these sound right to you more experienced players? Also, looking through the rules mommets seem pretty powerful, if they are made and especially dangerous if put on the Black Market. To those that have played this game before, are these powerful/useful? What are other tools that are useful? Also did the voting on all the nobles in previous games eventually spread out to commoners or did it mainly stay to the Nobles for the first 2 turns. It seems like commoners might be the best, you don’t get targeted, and you have enough money to get bye. Also Straw, thanks for the graphs! These are extremely helpful! Is there going to be more analysis for the different turns for past games the same that you did for this one.

Lasko Vietch looked up at the great gate, all he had to do was enter and he would begin his studies in one of the most magnificent Universities in all the world. He looked around the courtyard, with the snow everywhere there was a surprisingly good amount of students out there. Nobody he knew was here, but that was to be expected he was from a little known part of his family's house. Both of his parents had come here to school, not being able to bear the strain of their studies they both ended up in the Crockery. Once they had gotten out they were both retrieved and brought back to their families, eventually, they saw each other again, that was the beginning of their story. They were both humiliated. I cannot afford to be sent to the Crockery. Both of his parents had been studying in Naming. Perhaps I will stay away from that one, on second thought I will definitely stay away from that one. He hated math, absolutely despised it but perhaps Arithmetics would provide a stable way to build off his part of the family's reputation, and it might help him keep his finances in order. Hearing music inside, it reminded him that it was cold outside, and he needed to find a way to get friends. Would music help? He didn’t have any musical talent worth anything, but maybe those people playing music would be nice. Musically talented people tend to be friendly, right? Well, it would be worth a shot. He then trudged through the snow, through the gate and into the corridors of the magnificent University. I don’t want to trouble the commoners so I think that I might put a vote on Hemalurgic Headshot, not out of bad blood. I just want to spread the Votes around. Also if anyone wants to PM me that would be great, not entirely sure what goes on in A SE PM so it will be fun to figure it out.
