Noticing the merchant, I approach him with a broad smiling, letting the small pouch of coin clink loudly as i approach. "Hail, sir merchant!" I call to catch his attention, "I come in need of basic travelling supplies, and perhaps a few non-material items..."

Which clearly means that you ARE chaos, attempting to pretend to NOT be chaos and gain people's trust, for spying purposes. The only logical conclusion.

So i went and saw it. The plot was pretty subtle, but i really liked it. If you're gonna go looking for a super-deep story, don't see this movie, but the action was very awesome, and it had a really neat style to it, and i enjoyed the twists around the actual events vs the fantastical. And what plot it does have, i thought was pulled off pretty well. There wasn't any huge, glaring plot holes or anything. In regards to inception, i honestly didnt think the plot was terribly mind-bending, or really that deep. As soon as I knew it was about dreams, i guessed it was going to try to make people be all like "whoa...was that all a dream or not?". I also didn't have a whole lot of trouble keeping the dream sequences in line, because it seemed like they moved through them linearly. Though, that's not the say i didn't enjoy it, i just didn't it was all "WHOOA! MIND F!" like people seem to consider it on the internet. I could recommend way better mind-bending movies, such as The Machinist.

Yeah, i thought it was outstandingly funny that after a year or so of "IT'S FINALLY COMING!!" it gets pushed back a month. Though, honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if this was actually a prank the company was pulling, and after april 1st or so they're like "APRIL FOOLS! IT'LL BE ON TIME!"

That's why i buy pretty much exclusively hardbacks, unless i don't have a choice (some books don't seem to have hardback versions and/or they're sold out when i go to grab it) That being said, i've never read a Paolini book and don't really plan on it. I hadn't heard too terribly good things about the first book when it originally came out, and at that point I was well past the time when i could be disillusioned enough to enjoy terrible writing (i was out of highschool and half a semester or so in to college when it came out)

personally, i dont politics. i think 90% of politics are a waste of time and money, on all sides. They spend far too much time bickering and too little time governing.

So my original intro in to fantasy was playing D&D with family and friends of the family. Second edition. And, of course, video games. Legend of zelda, final fantasy, dragonwarrior, etc. (all the NES games). I also played adventure games like Zork and other such games. I first read lord of the rings (the first fantasy novel i read) in 3rd grade (early 90's) because i saw the old cartoon version of the hobbit and thought it was awesome, and talked my parents into buying me the box set of 'em. I've basically been a nerd my whole life, as should be obvious with this. The next major series of fantasy books i'd read was the enchanted forest series (which was kind of a step backwards from LoTR). I also read a TON of choose your own adventure books, but i dont know if those count as fantasy proper or not.

He does. Chaos writes up his theories based on peter's clues, and then when he's done, he prints 'em out, shreds 'em up, and starts smoking them. This in turn leads to newer theories.

personally, as a GM, i view the players as toys to amuse me. Combatting and Killing them is easy, simply because you have infinitely more resources at your disposal, and isn't much fun. It's all about how they squirm. Though, despite saying that, all in all, i'm a relatively benevolent GM, despite presenting them with the occasional ludicrous situation
