  1. @Matrim's Dice @The Awakened Salad @Shard of Reading you’ve got a day left!
  2. I’m going to acknowledge the suspicion on Quinn and TJ, but I’m way more suspicious of Snip. Whenever somebody makes a list of who they think the elims are, Snip and I are normally both on there, mainly because both of us are quiet. I know that I am not an elim, but that does make me look at the other person who isn’t talking much. There’s not much evidence I can produce as they have been quiet and I’m not necessarily saying to ignore both Quinn and TJ to vote Snip instead, but I do think that they are worth looking into. @Snipexe
  3. With the holidays and everything I understand being busy. It’s starting to look like I’m going to need two fill-ins, if you are interested i would be willing to give you that opportunity since your round was pretty much right over Christmas. @DramaQueen would you fill in for SfS? They were in the next round. (Since they haven’t roasted yet I would even let you pick your own character)
  4. And reading Housepets was the longest I’ve ever spent reading a comic.
  5. I have never read a better, more action-packed climax than one of Sanderson’s. Especially Oathbringer, that one was crazy.
  6. I’ve used this copy of Oathbringer once. I crack a lot of spines.
  7. Your name has been throwing me off so much. This is a little secondary portion of Ookla season.

  8. Make sure you get to Secret History. Some people recommend reading it after Era 2, but I see no problem with reading it after HoA. Personal preference, I suppose.
  9. For some reason I didn’t make the connection that you’re the person who made these. I discovered them a while ago and absolutely love these!
  10. Welcome! Have you read all of the cosmere or are you missing some parts?
  11. Ok, I remember the defensive thing and I agree that was a little odd. At the same time though, they could just be a defensive player and misunderstood that the starting list was just the player list. I understand being a defensive player, I dropped an entire PM conversation for a little bit of suspicion in the last MR. I feel like we need to find someone else, but at the same time my reads have been off lately, so I may be wrong.
  12. Ok, so I don’t have much. If there’s one thing I learned this game, it’s that I have a heck of a time with vote-manipers. Aaaanyways, what are the reasons for the SfS vote? I might be missing something, but from what I’ve seen I don’t like this vote.
  13. I put you both in later rounds, so it should work. If not I’ll figure something out. _________________________________________________________________________ After the congratulating conversations die down, Ghanderflaffle checks something written on her hand, squinting at it before speaking again. ”Yes, yes congrats to Vyre. Our next battle will consist of Lopen, Jasnah Kholin, and the Shard Preservation. You have the same time alllotment as the others, get to writing!” __________________________________________________________________________ The next battle will be @Shard of Reading as Lopen, @Matrim's Dice as Preservation, and @The Awakened Salad as Jasnah. You will have 72 hours, just as the others (unless you need some more time with New Years and such) which means your roasts will be due Sunday, January 3rd at 11:00 AM (US central). Good luck to you three!
  14. After giving the various participants plenty of time to vote, Ghanderflaffle returns to the stage. She holds an envelope in her hand for the drama, but she clearly already knows who won. ”After much thought and consideration on your part, we have discovered our first winner of this tournament! And the winner is...” Ghanderflaffle fiddles with the envelope for a minute, taking an inordinately long time to build “suspense” and “drama.” She finally gets it open and claps her hands to her cheeks, acting shocked. “Vyre!” ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Congrats to @Hoiditthroughthegrapevine for winning this battle by a single vote with their wonderful drama. Thanks for playing @Hentient, always a pleasure to read your roasts! I’ll post the next battle tomorrow as it is already later than I normally stay up.
  15. Ahhh sorry, I’ve been super busy lately with stuff (and a Mistborn reread). I’m going to read last cycle and try to be more active in the morning.
  16. Yea they haven’t been on in a while, so if they are still inactive when their round starts I’ll let you know! (They are currently in the last round, but I’ll keep you in mind even if they do show up and I need a filler for a later round as well!)
  17. That was possibly the most dramatic roast I’ve ever read. It was beautiful. (But maybe put it in a spoiler, for length and Roshar reasons) Anyways, wonderfully done to both @Hentient and @Hoiditthroughthegrapevine! ___________________________________________________________________________________ Ghanderflaffle takes the discarded mic from where Vyre had left it, slightly bewildered. She looks up and shakes her head, then turns to regard the crowd. ”Well, that was an interesting first battle. We have seen performances from Silence Montane and Vyre, though sadly Nale was unable to make it. I ask now that you all vote on the winner of this first round using the pens and paper off to the side of the room. To the Vorin men, there are scribes for your benefit.” Ghanderflaffle again looks to the hole in the roof before leaving the stage, letting the others vote. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Here's the link! It’ll be open for 48 hours!
  18. Welcome! Who’s your favorite character?
  19. That's only a half hour difference, so I’ll leave it at 5 just in case Toaster can do a very last minute thing.
  20. Oh hey, I’m a surgebinder now! I’m going to do things with this, I think.

    1. Bearer of all agonies

      Bearer of all agonies

      33 rep! 33 rep! 33 rep!
      I’m almost there. . . I just need twenty. . .

  21. Sorry I haven’t been on a ton, I’ve missed a page or two last cycle, so hopefully I’m not missing anything vital. Aaanyways, Breaker seems the most sus to me. I’ve played some Town of Salem and oftentimes a person who knows they are in danger switch their suspicious around a lot during the voting period. These people are often elims. We could also chalk it up to being new, but I think there's more to it than that. So for that reason, I’m going to vote Breaker
  22. Yep that's fine. Let's sayyy, by 5:00 PM central? @Toaster Retribution this would also go for you.
  23. Queeeeeeeen! Good to see you again! (If you want to join the latest roast battle I probably need a stand in for Experience )
  24. Oh the stuff in the rp post weren’t really all that important. The only one that actually meant anything was the Roshar one. I suppose I should’ve made that clearer. The only actually new “rules” are the voting ones.
  25. Um. @Condensation you kinda blew up, explain your popularity.
