Two or three Denizens who are older than him. Squirrel froze, eyes darting up on the wall of the building. He was old, she had known, but to hear him state it out loud, to listen to his words, how he claimed that nobody would stop him, if he didn't want to be stopped. She shifted her weight and - Mike shivvered in the darkness. An old denizen. He had listened had hidden somewhere admist the dark, the black, tried to ignore the stench of blood all around. The arguments were lost on him, his fear shaken brain doing nothing but screaming alarm, alarm, alarm. The man was here. He was here to take him back into the alley. Medallion or no medallion, he was going to take him back to that place, to the strange sky whirling above and the pain and the smell. He huddled down, pressed his head against his knees and wished he could vanish, he could leave She moved again, shaken by Mike's fear. It left her nearly unable to move and she slowly moved her weight to his foot, looked up again, judged how far the next handhold was away. "I'm not fox." She insisted, her voice strong, coloured with a hint of desperation when he compared her to fox, to the murdering, sly being waiting for her to make a mistake. Permission from him. There was no reason for permission, he would harm them by himself. Everything else was just a lie. They had made a mistake and now they would pay the price. He was here, because Snake had run away from the tavern, had stopped looking for the traitor. She readied herself and jumped, used the windowsill to propell herself up and reached out for the next one. She would flee. Staying here would mean dying. @18th Shard

Temeria gagged when her stomach lurched and she pressed a hand to her mouth in an instinctive gesture. She felt slightly dizzy as if she had been hit on the head, or lost too much blood after a battle. All around her murmurs rose and she straightened, her hand reaching out for the handle of her swords. The program was there, talking about her feeling better soon, oblivious to the people standing around them. Uneasily Temeria looked around, heard some move away at her gesture and others shift their weight. Hastily she removed her hand again, lifted her arms in a gestured that hopefully wasn't threatening at all. They were being watched, stared at and she stared back defiantly, tried to get them to walk away. Instead, while some left, more stopped and took a look, while others hastened by. She forced herself to take a breath, shoved the quenching feeling in her stomach aside and concentrated. The spren was still here. It appeared to be surprised but unharmed, perched on it's flame and looking around it what appeared to be curiosity. "Can you bring us to the boarding House?" She asked the program, naming the first place she could think of apart from the tomb. And you didn't train in a tomb. It was respectless. Despite the uneasy feeling of her stomach held out her hand again. Standing around here would lead them to nothing. They would only be stared at, and observed and she wasn't planning to play sole entertainer for everybody here. Who knew, in the end someone decided that she was a threat. "Or maybe somewhere else in the city where it is quieter than here?"

You wait for him to make his decision, observe him as he leans against a wall, looks towards the door. You can feel the tension in the air, your own excitement, mixing with him considering wether to go on or not. This is a risk, a huge risk for both of you and that fact alone thrills you even more. The big moment, he names it. It is a big moment, there is no questioning these words. It only needs to be a good big moment as well. You wait and wait until he speaks again, his voice firm and even. He will come along and see. Turning around at his decision you open the door and walk into a brightly lit room. Contrasting upstairs the light is cold, and you blink for a moment while your eyes adjust. Taron is standing to the side, already waiting for you. "Close to the big moment." You reply and step inside, your footsteps sounding harsh and loud on the tiles covering the ground. The room isn't large, nearly empty apart from a rack, a table, a basin to wash your hands and a shower, hidden behind some milky glass. "I need you to change." Your voice is matter-of-factly, for once you have no intention to play with him, or to toy with words. He needs to change. And it is not a point you are willing to discuss. You walk over to the table and push one of the two piles of clothing consisting of some pants and a shirt over to him. They are white, spotless and obviously freshly cleaned and pressed. You look him over again, the earlier appreciation gone, replaced by cool assesment of his body. "They are mine, but you are close enough to my size that they should more or less fit." You turn around again, want to be able to see Sloane's reaction to this, to judge how he takes to this change in scenery. Taking off your coat you hold it out to Taron without sparing the man a second glance. He is already there and takes the coat from you before walking away to carefully hang it up. @Ookla the Maybe-Existent

Shana nodded and lifted a hand to the bus driver to signal that they wanted to get on. The bus stopped and she stepped inside, mulling over the knives Rob had offered. Knives. An option, but using a weapon she didn't knew a lot of things about was dangerous. In the end she might harm herself more than she would harm her enemy. Better to stick to something she was familiar with. "I never trained with one." She replied, kept her answer vague enough to not spook the driver. She paid for the four of them and then sat down close to the exit. "I think, I'll be better off with none. Or maybe I can find something longer to replace my usual tool with." She looked outside, at their school and quickly wrote a message to her team, apologized that she would be late for training. She added some vague words about not feeling well, hoped they would simply discard it as woman's problems and don't ask too many questions. @Wyndlerunner @Ookla the Maybe-Existent

Squirrel tilted her head to the side, and then shook her head. She placed a foot on a windowsill she could reach and readied herself to run away, to climb up high, higher than her enemies could. "No." She said, her voice shaking. "I don't want to." Her body, Mike was breathing hard and quick and she found her eyes drawn to the Alley, to the cobblestones, to the way it had formed out of nothing. Sweat covered her palms and she wiped them on his pants, she needed them to be dry if she wanted to climb, Mike was so weak and slow, couldn't even jump between treetops anyways. Run. She knew she needed to run, but running could wake up the predator in the man. With some it was better you stayed and you hid, made yourself seem small. "I, We are perfectly fine, the way we are." She tried to assure him, tried to divert him from the idea to give them medallions. The take them into an alley. "I don't need a medallion." Because it would be no medallion, it would be something else, something different. He would experiment again, and she didn't want him to. She only wanted to get away.

My feet pound the ground as I run away from Kenod. I scream and yell on top of my lungs, try to draw them away, to get clear a path Kenod can take. There is no direction left, we checked them all and the beasts were everywhere. But they want to have a scene, so I'll give it to them. "Come on!" I scream and pick up a branch. "I'll show you who is stronger!" Pointless words, but I need to perform if I want for this to mean something. It's suicide, and at the same time it's not. It's a sacrifice but I need to do it the right way, or they will kill my mom and dad, my brothers. So I yell again, wave my hands, hope that they all watch, that I deliver some great piece of footage they can use. Lifting a hand I wipe some tears of my face and continue to run. The ground is uneven, and there, I can see some scales, a wet surface moving through the ground. And here another one. They take your time, but I know at least some spot me, and when I turn my head, I see Kenod run away the other direction. He is still running. I suppose that counts as good. "I won't be cowed by you!" I scream, the words a lie, such a plain lie that I would have laughed at myself. I am scared, so scared that my hands shake so much, I have to grab the branch with both hands. I lift the branch and smack it down on the first worm, and the beast screeches and moves. It so fast I can barely follow it's movement with my eyes. Something wraps itself around my ankles and I yelp in fear, try to bring down the branch on it and miss when it pulls, drags me to the ground. Something else wraps itself around my chest and then a bright pain blazes in my arm. There is a tearing sound and then I scream, scream when there is another sharp pain in my leg and then another in my thing and then my ear. I scream and scream until I am out of breath, until my head feels light and stars dance in front of my eyes. Somehow I still go on, try to get them of me, my hands reaching out for the slithering wet mass, unable to grasp something, unable to stop them from tearing me apart. Darkness creeps closer, covers when I am seeing when I finally manage to grasp one of them, weakly try to pull it away and fail. More pain in my arms, but it's nearly insignificant, nearly unimportant compared to the rest. There is nothing but pain, desperation and I regret my decision, if I had slain Kenod, I could have left him for these things to feed upon. I couldh have walked away and I could have killed again, until I would have been the winner. I would have made a good winner, a perfect one. But in this game, I loose.

"Thank you." Temeria nodded at the man as well and then turned around to leave. There was nothing left for her to say or do here, and she certainly didn't want to stretch his patience by asking another question, or trying to prolong this meeting. "Have a good day." She wished him and then turned to the construct. "I am ready." She stated and made sure the spren was with her. She didn't want to leave it behind, especially not in a place like this. Somehow she doubted that she would be able to find it again if she lost it here. And she liked that it was here with her, the way it played with the candle adorable. It was something to hold on, a small reminder that despite the strangeness of this world, some things were the same. She held on to them, although she knew, that she would need time, a lot of time until she really understood how things were like here. She eyed the symbol that had started to glow and wondered if she was supposed to do something, or if it was fine if she simply stood there and waited. Surely they would tell her, if she needed to do more than that - and if they didn't. In that case it was nothing she could change.

"I agree." Shana shouldered her bag and started to walk over to the nearest bus station. Cassie was still working, but there was a bus leaving soon, so they were fine. "I will text Doc and the others, so that they know what we're about to do." She pulled out her mobile and took a picture of the adress, writing a short sentence to go with it. A suspicious person dropped this adress. Edwin, James, Rob and me go to investigate. We should be there in about half an hour, if anybody wants to meet up. Then she posted it in their group and put her mobile away again. It would make itself known should one of the other reply and they were four. They should be able to take on a small number of enemies on their own. "Did one of you bring some weapons?" She asked instead while she watched the bus near their station. "I obviously didn't, but I still hope we don't need them." @Eluvianii @Wyndlerunner @Ookla the Maybe-Existent @Dr. Dapper @Lunamor ============== @Ookla the very snazzy

Wow, that writeup was a blast! I really enjoyed reading through it! Regarding our actions. I definitely want to investigate further about that box we are supposed to have, because that interests me greatly and we still need to decide what to do with the thief. Apart from that I can see several things we should do during these days. Look into the two motions (details on Idrian Trade, who are the trading parties, who are they owned by who profits most and which tayes) and I'd additionally would like to have more information about the whole 'Talaxin' story. Additionally I would like to know if there is blackmailing/ corruption within the other gods, and we might need to come up with another motion of our own as well. I'm not really sure where to start, so I'll wait for Kasimir and maybe some more ideas what to spend our time with before voting.

Shana turned and when he took his backpack off, she feared the worst. He had spotted some Voidbringers and was covering up on the fact that he'd noticed. She tensed, covertly looked around and found herself laughing when he held up a cat. "A cat." She said loudly, wondered why he had a cat and then reached out for her. She sniffed her fingers and then allowed to be pet and Shana found herself smiling at the animal despite everything around. "You should leave her outside of the house when we knock." She stated and then grinned. "And we need to buy some cat food - I mean we can keep her, him?" She added realized she had jumped to the conclusion that they would keep the cat. "I would like to have a cat." @Eluvianii @Wyndlerunner @Ookla the Maybe-Existent

Shana nodded in agreement and reread the adress again. "Let's go." She decided. "Take s look and see what is there. It's so close to Doc's house, if they are building up something there." With a shudder she pocketed the adress. "Just imagine the harm they could do, if they lived in our neighbourhood." Too much. And fighting admist civilians would be incredibly difficult as well. They would have to make sure nobody was harmed. Her eyes darted from Rob to James as she hoped that they would agree. "We can simply ring the bell, be nice and hope they will let us take a look?" @Ookla the Maybe-Existent @Wyndlerunner @Eluvianii

Sagitta smiled and climbed on her horse again. She had to try twice till she managed, but then she finally sat in the saddle. "Yes." She smiled, surprised by how much she was looking for ward to this. "Let's go." She still wanted to return to her home, she needed to, but for now - she had searched for a break, had yearned for one. For a way to stop fighting and to stop the killing. If she succeeded here, maybe there would be a way to stop the war, to regain the good graces of the gods. It was a feeble hope, but it gave her strength made her smile and she felt her shoulders relax when she saw a path for her to go as well. "Yes." She repeated. "Let's go." @AonEne

"Look somewhere-" Lena started to whisper back when someone adressed her from behind. She turned around, shot the space marine a bright smile, covering her annoyance that he managed to sneak up on her. That hadn't happened in a while and she had been careful. And such a tall person, even in armor. Sloppy. She was growing sloppy and sloppy people died easily on the streets. Still he immediatly caught her attention. A space marine. She had heard about their resistance to poisoning, but to try it out, if she managed to poison a space marine it would be brilliant. And if he had a higher resistance, then maybe, maybe she could try out stronger ones, perfect to more dangerous formulas. "We are the medical team." She replied and then considered his next words. Dangerous to openly admit that they wanted physical objects. "And we mostly look for knowledge." She clarified. "Although we will be grateful for any help this guild wishes to offer to us." @Grey Knight

"If you phrase it like that," you incline your head conceding the point to him, "I have to agree." Your eyes narrow a little when he mentions fun, but you don't comment on it. You are more or less sure, that your definition of having fun might be a little different from his, although the possibility, the thought alone makes your heart beat faster until you reign it in again. Still you move your eyes over his body, notice again that he cuts a very nice figure. He is in good shape, not overly trained, at least as far you can judge with his cloths on. Walking over to the door you open it and step out into the hallway. One thing after the other. Your steps are nearly silent when you walk over to the stairs and then head downstairs again, past the entrance door to another set of stairs. Your brother smiles at you from his oil painting hanging on the wall and as usual you avoid his glance. He is somewhere north, learning, preparing to inherit everything that should be yours. Were you still alive. Would you still exist. You don't know why you even hung his picture up, as if a part of you wants for him to see you walking downstairs into your own realm, into the one thing that is yours and will always be yours. Turning around to him you stop in front of a single door and place your hand on the handle. You leave it closed for now, wait for him to catch up, excitement and a little bit fear mix, while you listen to him walking, while you watch him descend the stairs. His black cloths seem to mix with the deep shadows of the stairs, and while you shift your weight to one of your legs to project a relaxed posture, you can't help but wonder how this will end. He won't turn back not now, not standing in front of a secret, a mystery. And you won't turn back because it's far to enticing to share, to try to make him understand. He is either your doom or he is the crossing to a different way, a shared path and while you would never admit it loudly, there is another reason you make yourself walk by your brother's picture daily. The last time you had a conversation that consisted of more than empty words has been years ago.

Temeria took the candle and held it up for the spren, smiled at its eagerness, at the way his face followed the lit match. It was so easy to make him happy, to get such a reaction over something so simple. Noticing that he stayed with her, instead of jumping over immediatly she kept it in her hand, so that he could stay close. She nearly missed the man's next words and it took her a moment to think about them, before she realized that he was asking her to leave. "Yes, of course." She shot a longing look at the program, wondered why he had called it, if he wasn't planning to give her the time to ask questions, but just accepted it. She didn't need to understand everything, and she had stopped questioning those in power a long time ago. Their quarrels and their reasoning was beyond her, and she saw no point in burdening herself with it. "Thank you, for your time." She thanked him politely, but didn't salut again, prefered to keep the candle straight to avoid dripping wax everywhere. "Do you have a prefered place where I can drop off the items?" Somehow she doubted that she would find her way back to this room and to try and walk through that alley alone, holding things for a nameless person? A shiver ran along her spine when she remembered the strange sky, that was no sky. She looked at the program again, tried to come up with something, anything that would make him talk to her a while longer, without throwing her deep into a mess she had no idea how to clean up again. Fetching the things would buy her another hour, but then - Temerias grip around the candle turned strong when she tried to avoid the surfacing thoughts. A night, alone.
