  1. "We need to bury Tish. And yes, we should eat breakfast. I'm hungry as well." Lizanne started to limp back to their camp. "I think we should leave, before scavengers come by and we have to fight them. We don't know where we are, we don't know what's here apart from the eye." "What do you think?" @I think I am here. @ZincAboutIt @Blessing of Potency @kenod @Snipexe @Silva
  2. Attayl observed their banter, smiled a bit to herself. They were cute, kind of. How they tempted each other, fought with words and clever sentences. She'd never seen something like that before. Another different world. Leaning back in her chair, she looked back at Nerin, to see her reaction when he left. How she'd stared at his chest, how she behaved. Her smile widened. This was beautiful, really beautiful.
  3. Mike paused. Then he slowly texted back. It was Bella, he had to talk to her, he had to explain that he didn't want to betray her, but that his loyalties were split. And right now... Can we meet here? I'm not sure I can head to the tavern right now. I'm responsible for some others and can't leave them alone for long. Hopefully she would understand. @Ark1002
  4. "Lisa killed Hellbent. They eye was here again, a few minutes ago. We need to decide if we stay here or leave. And we should bury Tish." Lizanne summed it up. She hadn't really talked with Jack yet, but somehow was glad he was still alive. They needed every hand they could get. Earnestly she turned back to Lisa "We'll try. Do you need something to bind the arm to your upper body?" @kenod
  5. I could offer some support.
  6. Lizanne fell silent, stared at Lisa's arm, at Renata. "But there has to be a way?" She asked, not wanting to believe that it was as easy as that. There was always a way. She hadn't given up, when she was captured, she hadn't stepped back when they hit her, when the beat her spirit out of her. She hadn't given up until she finally escaped. "There are so many people that know about investiture. Someone has to be able to get this right again?" Her voice turned almost pleading when she grabbed Renata's hand. "Anything?" @ZincAboutIt
  7. Zokora shook her head. That was even more abstract than before. The secrets of the universe. He had to know that they couldn't provide that. In return it meant, that they weren't really willing to solve this peacefully. She turned towards the man speaking for the Diagram and made a questioning gesture, silently asking if he thought they should spend the time to go on with this farce. @Vargo Seldon
  8. Althea walked closer, observed as the three attacked Vesuvius at the same time. She made sure to have some stormlight ready to be used, but here and right now, she was unsure what she could do to help. Vesuvius was kneeling, he was attacking Max and evading the others. A thought sparked and she quietly teleported behind him, appeared again with Brashen as a halberd in her hand. He was kneeling, his back turned towards her, so she took the time to aim, moved Brashen up and then down, with all the strength the stormlight lent her body. He probably would have noticed her glowing weapon, her softly glowing body, maybe heard the steps as she approached him, but still she might have been able to surprise him a bit. @Gancho Libre
  9. Sera hissed at the creature, wrapping herself tighter around Zokoras neck, almost strangling her. Almost. Zokora took another step back, realized, that she was to completely wrong person to deal with the spren. She had no idea what she was allowed to grant and diplomacy wasn't her strength. Althea would have known how to handle it, she always knew. And she was kind and patient, she would have discussed before rushing into a negotiation what they were willing to give, what they could give. She hadn't. She come here, waving the flag and somehow asumed that it would work out. Which it wasn't. It was a catastrophy. "What do you want to have?" she replied, hoped she could buy some time to think of something. She needed to think more, to plan and not to rush blindly into everything. She was proud of her position, but onyl now she realized how much Althea usually prepared, how often she lead her along, helped her through her notes and rules, plans and todo lists. Here and right now, she was screwed. Could she contact her? Lusk was here, but Althea would listen, she would find a solution. Wait for his reply and maybe then, she would ask for help.
  10. Lizanne turned towards her and smiled in greeting. "Good morning Lisa. Nothing happened. Renata told me, that it was quiet and -" She paused when her eyes fell on the grey arm hanging uselessly at Lisa's side. Without hesitation she limped over to her, worried that she was hurt more badly than she had let on last night. "What happened to you arm?"
  11. Involuntarily she stepped back when his face moved between the different faces almost faster than she could grasp them. Something lesser, what could she ask for, that was lesser, but still helped them? "What do you want for keeping your creatures in check, to call them back? Including the one clouding the sky. You can stay here, but you won't harm our population anymore?"
  12. He would leave. As soon as possible. Nerin was right, it was the sane thing to do, but still, she had looked forward to the evening. It had been nice to show him how to dance, to talk to him. Somehow she had hoped he would tell her a story of his travels. Disappointment weighed down on her as she forced herself to face the truth. He would leave and most likely she wouldn't return to the parlor either. The last hours had been a pleasant break in her life, but none she could afford again. She would go to the dancing hall with Nerin and then it was back to her daily life. "I wish you a good journey and a safe arrival whereever you go." She told Brillin and despite her disappointment, she meant her words. He lived in a different world and as exciting it had been to glimpse into it - it wasn't hers. All her talk about a prince, all her imaginations, deep within herself she knew that she was trapped in her world of gangs and their games, just as the rich people were trapped in their world. You looked at each other, but you never switched to the other side of the road. Her finger drew a flower on the table and then another one. She had to go soon, meet the Farrier guy. Soon, but soon wasn't now. With her eyes closed she took a deep breath and then allowed herself to imagine dancing at the dancing hall wearing a beautiful dress, with someone who respected her, who accepted her as she was, who maybe fell in love with her one day. It was a dream, such as her talk about a flowing dress and a prince was a dream and she knew, that its chances to come true were slim. But still, it didn't hurt to dream. Sometimes a dream turns into a dream.
  13. Mike thought about his reply and then shrugged. He would stick with the truth. We're the squad Guns n' Ninjas. Mr. Itiah told us we could come here to help with the crises. Then someone else told me that you're in charge, so I figured you're the right person to report to. Was I mislead, in that case could you please point me to our superior? Mike's glance followed Wes upwards and cursed. That was looking bad. Like a huge strange could, except that it seemed to be alive. How were they supposed to do something against that thing?
  14. I looked for them everywhere and then decided to ask Thanks a lot!
  15. So here is Tess, 2nd draft. I left the stats aside, but I can add them if neccessary. I know the woman in the picture is wearing an armor. I don't need to have one (and especially nothing made out of metal), but I liked the picture. Is there a list somewhere regarding the spells and all that? Edit: Did I forget anything?
  16. Lizanne whirled around when she saw the eye in the reflection, watching, staring at her back. Then it was gone. Vanished completely. "Did you see that?" She asked Renata quietly, intensly. "Did you see it? Why should it appear in a mirror and nowwhere else? Why did it watch her? Was it only her imagination, or was it really here. Her hands shook slightly when she searched the sky, the ruins around her as well. Both with her eyes and with the mirror. It was gone. Now it was gone completely. Either she had surprised it, or it had decided to appear and then to vanish again. Carefully she wrapped the shard in a rag and put it in her pocket. She could still feel its glance as it watched her, it was watching her. Invisible, but it was still there. She picked up a stone and threw it at the place where the eye had been, but it fell short, landed on the ground instead. Another try, this time her stone ended up too much to the right. Where had it been, it was huge, but it was hard to guess where exactly it had floated. The memory of Hellbent eating Tish surfaced and she looked around again. It was watching her, observing her. Waited for a mistake, waited to control her as well, to grab her and - The thought made her gag and she pressed a hand over mouth, forced herself to breath slowly. Survive. She had to survive. Bury Tish, then leave search for a better hideout. If anything lived here, this place would be crawling with people soon. Scavengers. Lizanne suppressed the urge to scream, to rush over and shake the others away, to pack the apples and the cheese and flee, get away, get out. Instead she deliberatly turned to Renata, hoping that she had seen the eye as well. @ZincAboutIt
  17. Attayl's face darkened despite the soothing. "Maybe I can help with that at least." She thought for a moment how to best explain it and then nodded. "Elendel is a large city. We have the nobles, the merchants and then we have normal people. There are gangs controlling parts of the city, they each have their own territory. Millet's gang is the one who controls this part and most of the time they stay away from the normal people. My boss usally works for Millet, but now with the Farriers, he is thinking about switching his loyalties. That's why I will meet that guy from earlier again tonight." She made a gestured to wipe her own involvement away. It wasn't that important. And he couldn't change it. Nobody could. As long as her body was pleasant to look at she had a home. Afterwards, she shoved the thought away as well. "The Farriers are said to be cruel, to step over borders Millet never crossed. They long for money and that fast. Their members gain powers after joining and there are so many rumors regarding their leader - they all agree on him being a cold-hearted man, some say he's a mystical being, like the Lord Ruler was. People are joining and that quickly. They will probably take over control soon and then? I doubt they will be satisfied with controlling a part of the city."
  18. "I want to try something." Lizanne knelt down it what had been a bathroom. A broken washing basin lay on top of a shattered toilet and she started to sort through the rubbish there in earnest. "And I'd like to have my own, not borrow it." Because she needed it, would need it more than once. To check her back, to make sure nobody was sneaking around behind her. To peek around a corner. A mirror was useful for a lot of things. Even a broken piece of one. She saw something glitter and shived a stone aside, saw a maybe fingerlong shard. Small, but perfect to carry around. Plucking it out of the dirt she wiped it on her pants to clean it and then stood up again. "Found one." Turning around, so that she was facing away from their camp she peered into the mirror, moved it around, especially at the place where the eye had lured out of somewhere else earlier. @Voidus
  19. "Well enough." Lizanne replied and tested her leg again. Better. Hopefully it would carry her through the day. She forced herself to smile at Renata. "Did anything happen?" She asked to bridge the silence and then saw a piece of glass lie around, reflect the sunlight. Carefully she picked it up and lifted it, looked into it's reflection. Reflection. "Did you see a broken mirror somewhere? I need a broken mirror." She started searching close to their camp, but planed to draw her circle larger and larger. The bathrooms. They might be a good starting point as well. @Voidus
  20. Attayl shrugged. "A new gang. My boss is worried about them." Her tone was indifferent, the Farriers were powerful enough to worry her, but Nerin had carefully soothed all worry away. "It happens now and then. They are powerful, their leader is said to be a great and charismatic person. There are tons of rumors, what I know is, that their new members seem to get more powerful after they join. That makes them gather more recruits easily." She drowned her drink. "The guy I met here earlier, he's one of them." The guy she had to entertain later. Her boss was trying to work on an alliance, to keep his own power. Attayl doubted that it could work, but you never knew. The Farriers were famous for either ansorbing, or killing smaller gangs. But nobody asked for her opinion and she was careful to keep quiet. That was a lesson she'd learned years ago.
  21. Amara closed her eyes and leaned against him. "It was the three of you." She allowed herself a moment of rest, then straightened. If there was one thing they were running low on, it was time. "We need to get going. Back to Chadwick. I want to take a look at your injuries and then we need to inform the Inquisition. As soon as possible." @Turtle373
  22. "Eat a pancake and think of something." She pushed a box containing some pancakes into Warder's hands, then took a bite herself. She could concentrate better while eating. And this batch of pancakes had turned out rather well. Her eyes swept over their surroundings. Houses, alleys, the forge, a bag someone had forgotten - the forge. "We'll run into the forge, grab their thick protecting equipment. Then we jump him and use our bodyweight to hold him down. Shez con do the rest. That way we don't touch him and are protected by the acid. At least for a while."
  23. Attayl looked at the scrap of paper and nodded. "It is. And of course I do. Everybody has heard of them."
  24. Lizanne woke when the sky started to brighten. She was tired, but the sleep had helped. Slowly she sat up, tried to collect herself. Everybody but Renata was asleep and so she waved at her, then grabbed her improvised crutch and stood up. Around them was a forest, that maybe ended in one direction. A forest. That was good. Maybe she could find some berries here, or other edible plants. She hobbled to the side of their small camp, observed those that were there. Lisa, Renata, Arun, Aderet and Wilhelm. Slowly she started to stretch her leg and loosen up the cramped muscles. If they decided to leave, she would have to walk for a longer distance. Hunger clawed at her stomach and she looked over at the apples Aderet had collected, then took one and started eating, waited for the others to wake up.
