  1. I'll raise you to 4 wealth.
  2. I'm currently halfway through Tigana. Not liking it as much as Lions of Al-Rassan yet, though that might change. What should I read next? I'm debating between Jim Butcher(either Dresden Files or Codex Alera), Game of Thrones, Brian Stavely, Night Angel by Brent Weeks, Wesley Chu, or Sailing through Sarantium(GGK). Any ideas?
  3. Emma post up. How do we want Electro to get involved in the Neverthere scene?
  4. Just as Emma was about to interrupt Deathwish's incessant flirting-if what he did counted as such-when he turned back to her, arrogance almost tangible. He had finally succeeded with this "Guard" member who Ethan had confirmed as an Epic. Deathwish was right though; they did need to deal with Quicksilver. Whoever this woman was, she didn't seem to be much of a threat yet. One problem at a time. "Right. Let's go," Emma said to the slontze. "Ethan and I will fly around back of the tower while you get in Quickie's face and, I don't know, get hit with a couple of missiles or something. Just keep his attention." Emma grabbed Ethan's hand and began to slowly reverse her gravitational pull, giving him time to adjust the momentum and fly with her. Edgerunner hadn't ever seen Quicksilver up close, but she still remembered what he had done to those soldiers the day before. See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Edgerunner planned to make sure he paid for that.
  5. Y'all should get your actions in before rollover in half an hour!
  6. Half the reason was attempting to get a dagger to Hellscythe so he could use it to break free. I chose you because of a gut feeling, sorry. There isn't much else there. That's the one example, which I cited to El, but forgot to mention here. That time, I was attempting to garner all attention and bait the village into wasting lynches on me. So, if you truly do think I'm taking that playstyle again, don't you think it wise not to kill me?
  7. Orlok, I wanted to try a different playstyle than normal. Though, I will ask you to consider my typical evil playstyle: do I lie often then? Do I draw undue attention to myself? Bringing that up makes it sound like I'm covering for myself by referring to old playstyles, but I feel the need to anyways. When I'm good, as I am now, I recognize that dying isn't the worst thing for me. My team can win without me, so I'll take risks others won't.
  8. First Chi post in a year is up!
  9. Has anyone voted for Wonko through the game? If a player is killed and no one has ever voted for them, do their items disappear? Lopen, I attacked you for the same reason I did everything else. I explained my vigilante playstyle this game in my post above. Why, might I ask you, did no one claim the medkit that protected you? It's used up, so where's the harm in claiming it? I believe it was one of your Corrupt partners who didn't want to bring attention to themselves by having to explain why they decided to protect you.
  10. Chi woke to the sunlight of a cursed city. No matter what he did, no matter who he helped, there were too many Epics with the power and desire to ruin everything. This proved the worst about humanity: give a man power and what does he do? Lay waste to the world. Before Calamity rose, Chi had called himself an optimist. Since the red star had risen, his opinion on humanity had declined sharply. Where were the Supermans of the real world? The Captain Americas, the Iron Mans? Only the Poison Ivies, the Electros, the Magnetos, and the Venoms were real. Power didn't make heroes; it made villains. What remained of Portland was living proof. The dead lay in the streets, the good hid in their homes, ruin left its wake. Even those like Altermind who didn't murder the citizens for sport left those not "good enough" to die while holed up, ruling their so-called utopias. Those like Corpsemaker did as they pleased, killing people because they could. This world had become hell, complete with demons and their leader, the glowing, red devil. Chimera rose, determined that this day would be the last day he sat back and tried to save only his children. How many others died every day? This zoo would become a haven. He began the preparations, sending his children to work on clearing some of the trees, the guards piling wood and brick. The refugees would have to build their own houses, but they could do so in peace or at least Chi's damnedest best attempt at it. He was dressed for war, wolfskin draped over his body, skintight body armor underneath. The Beast of War was here and he brought redemption with him. Argo behind him, Chimera heard a loud tearing of metal from the entrance of the zoo. He sent a few guards to scope it out. As soon as they moved to head to the front, a deafening roar shook the trees of the zoo. The roar was one of primordial times, one that didn't belong here as much as its master. The roar was accompanied by the sound of pipes and screeching that didn't come from any of Chi's family. Some of his children, particularly the young ones, began to bark and yell back to challenge the roar. He sent a blanket calming effect to all the animals in his zoo, creating a supernatural silence. Only one demon in this city would be announced by beasts of times long dead. Lightwards had come to bring war to Chi's family. Chimera walked to the entrance of the zoo, Kyreen and Argo flanking him, Calix and Rumenes in the air. Wolves, lions, hawks, and griffins padded or flew around him as he approached the green Emperor of Hell's beasts. He sent the snakes to sneak behind the necromancer's ungodly force just in case. His guards, bestowed with the gifts of the children followed behind them, rifles down, but easy to grab. "Lightwards," Chi projected his voice to the green man. "One does not smash down a man's door to visit his house. Unless, that is, one is only entering to fight."
  11. The Reaper has come.

    1. Citadel16

      Citadel16

yes. and you forgot my balloons

  12. Same. Edit: Sparks, Kobold, that Mormon line was hilarious! Also, what are the plans for the Deathwish/Frostfire/Edgerunner/Taylor scene now?
  13. Joe said that the only way to get a new governor is the current one dying, I believe. But we can vote in blue if it makes you feel better. Elbereth. Lopen admitted to being attacked already. I said this in the prison doc, but you guys can't read that, so I'll restate it here. Both in this game and LG19, I planned to go vigilante mode. Most games, I sit back and only really help late game. These two, I decided I'd do what it took to act on suspicions earlier than that. So, after HS's innocence, I felt that one of DC or El was evil, so I used boxings to lynch DC. When he was good, I thought it must be El that was the corrupt one. So, knowing full well that I was going to be arrested next were I wrong, I made up the story of the ledger to get El arrested. Obviously, that didn't turn out well. After being in the prison doc, I've apologized to El, though I'm not sure if she trusts me even now. But my plan didn't work in this game as well as it did in the LG, where I took out one Spiked. So I'm willing to submit to the will of the people now, though I'm still highly, highly suspicious of Lopen.
  14. Mark: 1. No one knows why StrawMan lied. 2. There were heavy implications that the constables were evil and we could kill them. Since Yosef's death, I've been informed that killing them wasn't really ever the goal; only using warrants(I think) on them like Alv did to get the key. 3. Hellscythe's hidden message was April Fool's if you take the first letter of each of his sentences. Alv, I vote you let Elbereth out of jail. I think we should all vote on who he lets out and then it's up to him to make the final choice so that no one knows who it'll be till after.
  15. Sorry to double post, but I'm letting you all know that I will be in prison for the rest of this turn. Please don't arrest me until I get back next turn. I will hopefully have more information then, but for now, know that DC has learned of the corruption of the Constables, or at least of Yosef's.
