As much as I don't like it, I think I have to agree that Dalinar is the Bondsmith. From TWoK: There are four whom we watch. The first is the surgeon, forced to put aside healing to become a soldier in the most brutal war of our time. The second is the assassin, a murderer who weeps as he kills. The third is the liar, a young woman who wears a scholar’s mantle over the heart of a thief. The last is the highprince, a warlord whose eyes have opened to the past as his thirst for battle wanes. The only new addition to WoR would be "The Explorer" and I think I'm leaning towards Eshonai, but for some reason, it doesn't feel right to me.

Possibly, but I think they would still be able to burn a Tin alloy, for example, if it were 90% tin and 10% something else.

I was going to say technically, they're the same metal, but actually no, technically they're not. What if it's the cognitive aspect that decides? Either 1. the Misting thinks of it as whatever metal they can burn so there is a burning but it doesn't end up right, because it really isn't what they thought or 2. The Alloy thinks of itself as Tin or Pewter or whatever metal it is mostly composed of.

I thought about the phonetics too, and I still think it's a viable option, but in the word Shardblade, you don't hear the e at the end. But in balderdash, you have to have an e.

I just spent like 10 minutes on it and I came up with nothing. I can get small words but that's it. Gray, lag, fig. For a second, I had Kal and I thought it might have Kaladin but then I looked back at the available letters and was sad.
