  1. Well, being sick today, I managed to watch four episodes of Doctor Who so far and just finished The Doctor Dances. May I say, it might be my favorite so far. Also I have a couple questions: Is Eccleston the ninth or tenth doctor and what doctor is the most current one? Which episodes should I skip, if there are any? Yeah, being an alien Epic is making it a bit too weird I think. But I like Kobold's suggestion. My guess in VEHE: Bloody Mary.

Wow. That makes so much sense. I can't believe I never got that, I was confused too. XD
  3. Wilson is correct. Because my suspicion of Eol is a lot lower than my suspicion of Wyrm, I decided it was better to tie it up. That way, we didn't lose someone innocent, and if emotional allomancy got involved, we could try to decide what the Spiked would be doing with that allomancy. I was much more willing to let Wyra die if it came to it, but this way, we got emotional allomancy involved so we can speculate on that, and we didn't lose anyone.
  4. Oh, whoops you're right. What is a Splinter then?
  5. I finished Firefight this afternoon and I'm thinking I might go back and reread it again, taking it slower and enjoying it more. I did the same thing with Way of Kings. A week after I finished it, I started it again.
  6. Kobold, you've convinced me. There are some things, like the that I think can, and should, be fixed easily. Those are simple enough that I think they should be included. bigger spoilers in this next one, so if you haven't finished it, don't open this. So, I think that we should stick to our own canon for the big things, but for the simple ones, we should stick to Brandon's canon when we can. Definitely. It's partly why I want to ignore the big thing. At least two of my Epics break the rule, so I'm definitely all for ignoring that part. Well, Altermind will definitely be comparing himself to Regalia in his next section. And electro can think about Obliteration as he's out with Quota and Timeport. Chi might happen to think of Obliteration as well.
  7. Ren, I voted for Ash because of his post where he told Hero that lynching is one of the most important things in this game and voting is valuable. In the same post, he also said he wasn't going to vote that cycle. That, and some other posts that have been contradictory, and a gut feeling have led me to vote for Ash. At this point in time though, I'm pretty certain Eol isn't Spiked. So if it comes down to it, I'm much more suspicious of Wyra. I'd rather not lynch someone I think is innocent, and while I do suspect Ash more than Wyrm, Ash isn't going to get lynched this cycle and so I might as well put my vote somewhere useful.
  8. I'm more curious why Calamity gave it to a man who wasnt cruel, one who wouldn't feel the corruption. Based off what Calamity's done with the rest of the Epics, I feel like he wasn't such a nice guy either or his powers corrupted him as well, but then he goes and gives power to a man who sustains a city with them, and not just like Steelheart or Regalia in a benevolent(ish) dictator kind of way, but full-blown generosity and peacefulness. I also think that the powers would have been used more fully if Dawnslight was awake. They wouldn't have been as kind, obviously, but they would've been used more, I think.
  9. That's really cool. You know, shooting him a PM with this and just asking what he thinks isnt a bad idea.
  10. I'm wondering the same thing Regalia was. Why would Calamity give powers, and pretty powerful ones, to a man in a coma? He seems to have some reason in why he chooses people for their powers and I can't see why he would give powers to a man who won't use them fully.
  11. With her being so fragile and not having a PI, the Reckoners didn't worry about her weakness, and so therefore, we never learn it either.
  12. That would be awesome!! Definitely not. He sounds like he might have some type of explosive power, at least, that's what I think of when I hear his name.
  13. One thing I enjoyed about this book was that it showed that some of the powers we have are actually very possible and do exist. You know which I'm talking about. Another was that the use of more ancient weapons(swords) are not only used, but seem to be somewhat popular among Epics. The most game-breaking thing is probably the number of and decency of the nice Epics we have here. The other thing Kobold said canbe easily tweaked in most cases.
  14. A Splinter is someone who held a Shard before (eg Lord Ruler) and a Splintered Shard is when a shard has been broken and shattered (Seons are Devotion's splintered pieces)
  15. Wow. Add me to that Pm now, please.
  16. Ahhhhhhh!! I just don't have enough time in the day! Tomorrow. Tomorrow I should finish. Thursday for sure. If you've finished the book, do not comment on this in any spoilery way: You guys know what would be the coolest thing ever? If we learned what happened in Oregon in this book and Peter had seen this RP and mentioned it to Brandon and he named dropped some of the Epics. If only.
  17. Oh. That's just as bad.
  18. That's not a bad thing. Yeah. I liked that clarification. True.
  19. A couple things and I'll keep them spoiler-free: Does anyone have characters in Oregon from Houston? Just curious. You'll see why. A High Epic is defined here as an Epic who can't be killed by conventional means. I think that's the difference between High Eoics and those with PIs. PI Epics can't be killed without their weakness being activated, but High Epics just means that it takes unconventional means to kill them. The only thing I've seen so far that's contradictory is that we have too many "nice" Epics I think.
  20. Haha, I also put it in three boxes. Yeah. Freq's kinda messed up. Not a nice guy. At all. It's horrifying. And I'm not anywhere near Kobold yet. Just what David knows about him at first is scary enough. Wow. He must get even worse then. Isn't it public knowledge already? It was released in the files that some store got in their copies of steelheart, wasn't it?
  21. I'm just over 20% done. More specifics on where I am in the spoilers. Me too. But he does feel guilty for it, he feels like he betrayed Koschei and that's the main reason he's coming back and calling everyone cowards. He's got one huge power, another pretty big one-with a side effect kinda thing that gives him a PI, and a third, smaller one. He's pretty freaky. But cool. In a Nighthound cook kind of way.
  22. That's my guess on the three messages too. I'd guess either the second or third messages from last time we're just a Mistborn with Tin. The poem this time seems to be the same author as the poem last time and the colored message is probably from the third author. Maybe the second. We can't guarantee any info in the messages. They're more for fun than anything. Or if the Seeker contacts a Tineye, they can release info through the message without putting suspicion on either of them. I don't think the Tineyes are likely to hide that info though if it was important, they'd probably just release it easily. The poem's white text says "The one who is not Ehe, my trust has lost for now, I'll tell. The one with no Ene isn't quite absurd. Endurance (with an L) isn't as suspicious as it seems. The writer of Rao is pure, I hear. This is Ien following my Sao. Ido me if I am wrong, my Seo is to this town." So I agree about your assessment on those lines. Ehe is the Aon for fire or warmth, so my guess would be Winter in this one. Ene means cleverness, so someone with no cleverness isn't absurd. I'm not really sure who that would be referring to. Endurance with an L doesn't even have an Aon like the others, but the Aon Eon means Endurance, so I think it might be saying Eol there. The writer of Spirit one really confuses me though. I'm stumped on this one, I don't even know where to begin. The last one seems to be a simpler message: This is wisdom following my learning/intelligence. Forgive/have mercy on me if I am wrong, my service/loyalty is to this town." The whited out u in the word for in the last black line makes me wonder if the numbers have significance. They're used often enough that there could besom type of code in them too. I have no idea what message you're looking at. The one Meta posted only has Hesnveohc underlined. But anyways. I can't get anything of those colors or the underlining. This one bothers me because keep hitting dead ends. I'm not sure if it's just a joke or not. Game related stuff: My opinion on poke votes is that they should be used to get an inactive player talking. On occasion, they have been used to ask someone's opinion or reasoning and as soon as that person posts anything, the vote is taken away. This worries me. The Spiked could be easily using this on both sides. If all they have to do is come up with some meager excuse, then the vote is taken away and the danger of the voting is lost. They could also be using these poke votes to still be voting, and so escape suspicion of the kind that Hero has garnered. If a suspect doesn't satisfy your suspicion with their response, don't take your vote away, it's not necessary and it could be manipulated easily. My Suspicions so far this cycle are Wyrm, Hero, and Ash, not necessarily in that order. Ash hasn't really explained himself to my liking yet, so I'm going to keep on him.
  23. It was Current Event, yes. Hahaha, kinda. Only Freq doesn't actually use coward a lot. He has recently in a way to kind of shunt his guilt for running away from the Dalles after Koschei's death to others. Also, Obliteration is a storming powerful Epic.
  24. A quote from Firefight: "It was like discovering that Santa Claus was a Nazi." Wrong, David. Santa Claus is Calamity. (Don't worry guys, David's metaphors are even better in this one.)
  25. Well, my kindle pre-order of Firefight just came in at 11:00 my time, so it looks like I'll get to start tonight! :)
