  1. I think that may have just been Megan. I agree with Argent that it is their biggest fear, which they may or may not have nightmares about. I don't think that the nightmares are a requirement, just something common.
  2. Well, Araris only had three nights to Seek and on one of them, he died, so only two results could've been made public or shared. He might've shared these with Wilson, but even if he did, if he never found a Spiked, his results would only narrow it down, not make it absolute. I highly doubt we have another Village Seeker, but I think the Spiked do have one, so we can't rely on the Seeker, since we don't know if we even have one.
  3. Thanks. I don't think it should be a big difference, just that he is not going to argue with Altermind's ideas as much, maybe...
  4. For us? Yes, yes he did. For Altermind's sanity, probably not.
  5. Cool! So his Big ThingTM could happen during the Connell attack, sound good? With a house wall, he could disintegrate a section that was his size. The winds are powerful enough to hold him up or to break trees. They wouldn't be able to ruin buildings though, not directly. Yeah, we'll get working on that. Not anymore. It's not great, but it's there. I couldn't think of anything for Mare, but I'll have a POV for her when they leave to go fight the MEE. Yeah, well, she should've been a tad intoxicated before, like maybe a couple ounces of beer or soemthing, but now she shouldn't directly notice that she's drunk, but she should be easier to persuade and stuff. (I'm not too sure how drunkeness works, being both underage and Mormon. )
  6. It doesn't sound like it to me. That line dividing that line from the list seems that the list is a separate part of the message. I agree that the list is likely a list of suspects. And, as you said, they are likely connected to the Coinshot since they knew about Ostrich's death. But, since Ostrich is clean, the Tineye obviously isn't 100% on their suspects. I would bet that at least two, if not three or four, of the Spiked are on that list though. Also, if you take the italicized, red, bold, and large word, it says, "No blood for you". I highly doubt anything secret was hidden in that though. The list is obvious enough. Actually, I specifically said that Araris probably didn't like his vote being soothed, not changed as you said. I used the word Soothed. While this obviously isn't concrete proof, my suspicions have been pointing to you all game. Ash.
  7. Flashpoint watched in fascination as Doctor Funtimes copied the pictures he provided onto her own notepad. He kept explaining the Epics in Corpsemaker's alliance, but he couldn't help but watch her tricks. He noticed that the younger girl, Sam, had tears in her eyes and was furiously scribbling on her clipboard. He wondered what had upset her. Hopefully it wasn't something he had said. She was cute. In a gothic rebel way. When Altermind asked the Doctor to make the house fly, Traveler, had to remind her what he was talking about. It seemed her and Altermind both dazed out occasionally. Though, in Altermind's case, he was likely doing something around the room while his hallucination sat still. Doctor Funtimes stood up with a cheerful, "Okie Doki Loki," and stomped on the ground. The house began to shake and pull itself out of the foundations. Flashpoint was more than a bit jealous of the Doctor. His powers could never compare to something like this. He could fly on his own, but making a house fly was something entirely different. Altermind went back behind the young Trattner after Funtimes began making the house lift off. He saw as the girl, Samantha, wrote. Hello, Altermind. Didn't think you'd recognize me. And yeah! I've wanted to meet you for a long time. Of course, I kind of hoped you'd be tied up and I'd have a crowbar. But I guess this will do. This little imbecile was a slontze. Altermind clenched his teeth in anger. She had the guts to say something like that, Altermind had to admit. Her impulsiveness could be used if it were channelled the right way. Altermind picked the pen back up with his mind and began writing again. I never forget those who turn me down. He underlined the word never with emphasis. Ignoring her insult completely, Altermind made his offer. Samantha, I'm giving you one last chance. You're a smart girl, show the world what you can do. If you used your brains with your heart, you could be successful. You could provide for your mother and yourself. You wouldn't be mocked by others. I won't give you another chance. Will you join Thoughttown? Altermind asked her, he knew that using her mother would help convince her. That was the reason she had declined in the first place. He heard Lightwards start talking again and he went back to the table to reply. "-we're out of Streewise's hearing, shall we decide upon a course of action? The Epics at my disposal should prove more than enough to handle his servants. CorpseMaker himself will prove more of a challenge. Now I ask: have you or have you not developed a plan for disposing of him?" The necromancer said. So Altermind was supposed to decide what to do. The professor couldn't do it himself? "My forces are also enough to take care of his minions. For Corpsemaker himself, his death-stare and energy absorption are the problems. To counter those, we'll likely need a way to distract and then capture him until we can find a weakness. I have people working around the clock, trying to discover his weakness. None of my allies have the capabilities to ensnare Corpsemaker though," Altermind said. "Do you have a way to capture him? If you can coordinate that, I'll take care of the distraction." Altermind had his illusion tap his index finger twice, indicating to Intervention that he should increase the intoxication of both Lightwards and Funtimes slowly to a more agreeable state of mind. Altermind went back over behind Samantha to see what she said. He kept the other ear ready so that he could go back to Lightwards's conversation too.
  8. I'd like to start Astoria sooner rather than later. Maybe in a couple of weeks? For everyone involved in the meeting, how does it sound if the meeting only goes a couple more posts before the MEE attack call comes in? I think Altermind just needs to give Lightwards a mobile, make a couple requests of Funtimes, and go over the basics of Project Amber. Since Electro is already going to meet him, Quota could use his powers briefly on him, which would be fun. Give Electro a bit of punishment.
  9. Maybe his costume is nudity? You're right. Maybe he can control it for things that can be let through, or it knows his intent when he reaches for clothes. . What do you think?
  10. Here's the powerset for that possible new Destructor. What do you think? Epic Name: Dustmaker Human Name: Mike Duss Weakness: <PM'd to the GM> Primary Power: Disintegration. Can disintegrate any non-living thing equal to or smaller than him in size. Secondary Power: Air manipulation. He can control the winds and air around him. He uses this to fly, but it's more of the wind pushing him or the air lifting him than true flying. He also uses this to knock over structures. Passive Power: Disintegration field. Anything non-living that approaches him gets disintegrated automatically. The field is only slightly larger than his body.
  11. I think that's fine. Prof has that. He can (firefight spoilers below) I think that's fine.
  12. I'll work on a profile for him. Smasher's can't be broken even by Jag's strength. Maodun's spears and Smasher's force fields are going to have some interesting combinations in the Connell fight. But I'll say this, his force fields can't be punctured, but their shape can be changed with enough force. And enough force is more than a Ton of weight pressed on. I think he means the amount of punishment the force fields can take.
  13. That sounds good to me. That's a cool church assignment.
  14. Does anyone Mind if one of the Destructors' commandos receives powers and becomes a High Epic with tensor-like powers? I just want an Epic who is actually someone who could destroy parts of Oregon. If you think this is too much for one team, I won't do it.
  15. Hmm. They're similar, but I'm not opposed to them both being in Astoria. Smasher's start at one point and then expand outwards to his desired diameter. They are always dome-like or round. Able to create force fields with up to a twenty foot radius. He can create them with himself as the center or he can create it somewhere else, but only a maximum of fifteen meters away. The force fields block all materials from entering or exiting. The force fields have a slight blueish tint. So if you want to include Vis, I don't mind. It's up to you.
  16. It might be cool to see Vis Vires and Smasher interact in Astoria, with both of their force fields. If I had a bio on Vis, I might be better able to judge if they would be very similar or different enough. And even then, it is canon that similar Epics exist. It might be a good idea to show that.
  17. I'm a bit worried as to the name, since it's too similar to Lucentia for me and would probably cause some misunderstandings. I think it'd work out best if you can find a different name that you like. I like the powers though. She could always show up late to the party and finish off whoever's left.
  18. I write all of them except Metalmech, who is being written by Mail-mi.
  19. Of course I'm for Astoria; I've already got my characters ready!
  20. Sorry, guys, I've been sick these past couple days and havent really been able to get into this game. I'll be active again from here on out.
  21. Oh, that's right! Oliver was your profile picture when you first joined wasn't it? I forgot all about those pre-pony days. Well, seeing Arrow before Doctor Who, it's quite weird for me to see the biggest villain being a cool, funny, and nice guy. It's trippy. I'm william73. When we did the Chi/Timeport post in Google docs, I realized that mail-mi and I did almost the same thing with our usernames. Happy Birthday Twi!! Congrats on finishing Firefight! Oh, and since I just realized I totally forgot to post this yesterday: Happy late birthday Edgedancer!
  22. Okay. I'll...watch for it, I guess. David Tennant is the one that Nathan likes, yes?
  23. Oh, and one thing I have to say: Have any of you seen Arrow? Especially you Whovians? Because of the character that the actor for Captain Jack plays in the series, I can't make myself like him or trust him. He's Malcolm Merlyn, for Calamity's sake!
  24. So, maybe I'll start it and see? Or just watch the preview for it in the previous episode. Which season is that in?
  25. Oh okay. Good to know, I wasn't quite sure where in the timeline I was. Even Love and Monsters? Just reading you guys' comments on it makes me nervous about that one.
