Long Game 10: A Game of Shards
Mailliw73 replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I was more suspicious of Antillar before, but his defense sounded very innocent. I also can't see what the OCs would have to gain by fake-claiming first. I can understand being accused and the fake claiming as a last ditch effort, but a preemptive strike doesn't make much sense to me. I'd like to see Vine's response to Antillar before I make a final vote though.- 929 replies

We're very close. Just one more Connell Epic needs to die and then a wrap-up post and we'll be done. If you want to go ahead and start, I wouldn't mind. I'll catch up soon enough. That would be awesome, only I think enough differences have been established between the three dimensions that they'd have to be different. I had no idea there was a limit... I'll get summaries to you soon. This is Summoner's bio. I imagined his Storage kinda like Shadesmar, but the geography is exactly the same. One thing I have about Lockvsult though, both Zeis and Tagon aren't regular names at all and would make him stand out. I had an Epic somewhat similar to this for the Dalles that I never actually wrote. If you or anyone else wants her, here's her bio. Ah, yes. That thing. And welcome, Lwd!

Long Game 10: A Game of Shards
Mailliw73 replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Vineyard, with things like this, it's much better to wait until midway through the cycle or so to reveal this so that we can see how the OC has been acting today before we caught them. I'm not certain that you are the Witness, but I'm also not certain of the reverse. Currently, I'd say that Antillar is more suspicious, but I'll wait to see his response.- 929 replies

His power sounds a lot like Summoner's. I like him. What if his Storage and Summoner's Other were the same place? (I'm not sure this could actually happen, since they have slightly different restrictions, but it's cool to think about.) This guy would be a very interesting addition to Thoughttown if Portland wasn't closed for applications now. His personality and backstory have similarities with Altermind's and his powers are similar to Summoner's.

They have flying powers? I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would let either of them keep up with him while flying. Well, he's dead now, so it doesn't matter much, but why not? Sounds good to me. Do you want to go first or have me do it? Wow. You guys are popular. the only post of mine reaching popular status that I remember was in the Anniversary Elimination Game, I explained the messages I left each night and that gathered me 11 rep. I'm pretty sure that's the most I've ever gotten.

If he is, then we better get Portland destroyed very, very quickly. And with our rate, it'll take at least until June.

Flashpoint/Summoner post up. The MEE attack can continue.

Flashpoint saluted Altermind as he left with the two guards, Forrest and Wade. They climbed down the rope ladder as Flashpoint flew down to the ground. "Speed is of the essence, let's hurry," Flashpoint ordered. Both guards got on their motorcycles and began zooming down the road. Flashpoint flew just ahead of them, itching to fight the attackers. They thought they could take Thoughttown? Not with these soldiers protecting it and not with Strongsteel's enhanced walls. The other Epics would be on their way soon and then the invaders would be crushed. Flashpoint only wished he had been able to speak to the two girls Doctor Funtimes had brought with her. They had seemed nice enough for simple human girls. What he really wanted though, was a pretty Epic girlfriend. Shorter than him, with long brown hair, some way to keep up with him as he flew, Calamity could provide that, couldn't he? Flashpoint chided himself for thinking about girls at a time like this. Thoughttown was under attack. He approached the border in time to see a dark cloud enter the gate. They had managed to take out the guards there and were spreading out inside the boundaries of Thoughttown. He headed for the man who looked most like an Epic. The way he held himself exhumed confidence, like all other Epics. Flashpoint figured that with the cloud of darkness, the man was some type of illusionist. Years with Altermind convinced Flashpoint that he'd be able to handle an illusionist better than most. Flashpoint took aim with his rifle, but remembered Altermind's tricks and adjusted his aim. He shot a foot in front of the man and then a foot behind. Neither did anything aside from bounce off the asphalt. From up in the sky, Flashpoint took aim a third time at the man himself, confused at either the stupidity or the arrogance that convinced this Epic to show himself fully. Flashpoint's finger began to pull the trigger, but suddenly his finger didn't work like it was supposed to. Flashpoint's leg jerked out at an angle for no reason. Concerned about his falling, Flashpoint lowered himself closer to the ground, carefully, so that he wouldn't fall from such a great height if this man's power somehow worked on his flying ability. Summoner drove through the eastern gate, watching for surprise attacks. The guards recognized him and let him in easily. He parked the car just inside the gate and got out, Smoky following his lead. He saw the two Epics from far off. One dressed in all black, wore a cloak to hide his face. The other wore obnoxiously bright clothing that would stand out at midnight in the middle of a storm. Summoner nodded at Smoky and she smiled back. She knew what to do. Summoner quickly calculated the distance to the Epics and then stepped into the Other. Before he faded into the secondary dimension, he saw Smoky head for the other Epics. Summoner took deliberate steps, counting carefully, until he knew he was behind the Epics. He grabbed his long sword, which he had named Oathbringer, and counted to ten. Slowly, the real world faded back and Summoner saw the two Epics advancing on Smoky with evil grins on their faces. As soon as Smoke saw him, she conjured up thick, black smoke in front of the Epics' eyes. As Summoner lunged with his sword, the one in black absorbed the light from a nearby streetlight. A black bolt of energy shot towards Smoky. Summoner yelled in anger and swung his sword towards the Epic's neck. Just before it connected, the Epic disappeared, melting into the shadow from the dark streetlight. The other Epic had dashed away, through the smoke towards Smoky. Summoner chased him into the smoke. He heard screaming from the right and ran that way. He made it out of the smoke cloud to find nothing. He spun, looking for Smoky and saw the bright-colored Epic attempting to shoot her on the far side of the cloud of smoke. He must've misjudged the direction of the scream. Summoner ran towards Smoky, summoning a rifle from the Other as he stored his sword. She was expertly dodging the Epic's shots by flaring smoke in front of him as she ran. She had been hit a couple times on the side, but from the smoke emanating from those injuries, Summoner saw that they were healing. A blast of energy singed Summoner's left biceps. Storms! He had forgotten about the Shadow Epic. He spun and shot in the direction of the Epic, managing to score a couple of non-lethal wounds. The Epic faded back into the shadows and Summoner continued on to Smoky. When he turned around though, the other Epic and Smoky had gone back into the original smoke cloud. He charged in, rifle ready, and heard Smoke grunting as footsteps ran past him. "Smoky! I'm here!" He yelled, but the footsteps went past him. He ran out of the cloud where the footsteps had gone and saw nothing. Summoner realized what had happened. How could he be so stupid? Altermind had just used the same trick to tell him not to eat a cupcake at that meeting. This Epic had to be a mental illusionist. Summoner stalked carefully back into the smoke cloud, listening carefully. He heard gunshots from two different types of gun, one handgun and a rifle. He also heard female yelling and shooting from another direction. Realizing now that the Epic was causing some sounds, Summoner headed in the direction of the sound of two guns. Smoky carried a pistol and, once involved in a fight, could see it through. Just as Summoner approached Smoky and the illusionist quietly, he saw the shadow Epic appear behind Smoke Bomb. "Smoky!" Summoner yelled. She dove to the ground, but not before the energy blast skimmed her back, burning it. Summoner yelled in rage, feeling adrenaline and the Thrill of killing rush through him. He shot the illusionist twice in the chest, summoning Oathbringer again. Smoky lay on the ground unmoving, but smoke was emanating from the burn which meant it was healing. Summoner charged the shadow Epic, but once again, he blended into the shadows. Summoner dropped his rifle and began another Summoning. The object appeared in his hand and he pointed it at the ground. He turned the flashlight on and pointed it at the shadow. The Epic appeared again, yelling in pain. Summoner took the two steps forward and, pointing the flashlight at the Epic, plunged the blade into his gut. The shadow Epic fell backwards, breathing heavily. "The...light. It comes. But...the shadow...conquers all," the dying Epic managed to say. Summoner spat and smote the Epic's head from his shoulders. He ran over to Smoky, sending all his possessions back to the Other. He knelt down next to her and, laying her on his lap, began stroking her long, blond hair. She was beautiful even in pain. Summoner knew there wasn't much he could do but wait until the healing finished. It was close. As the smoke rising from her back dissipated, Summoner leaned down and kissed her forehead gently. Her eyelids fluttered open and her lips formed a faint smile. "Hi, Dally," she said weakly. He smiled and kissed her for real. He propped her up into a sitting position. She leaned against him, breathing heavily. Her healing was useful, but it drained her and took a while. Summoner brought a protein bar out of the Other and fed it to her. She stood up, saying, "Dal, what are we doing sitting here? We're under attack!" He nodded and stood up. That they were, but, always, Smoky came first. He kissed her one more time. "Are you okay to go now?" She nodded and, hand in hand, they walked back to the Viper. He called Altermind over his mobile, reporting the two dead Epics and sent a message to the other Epics, keeping them updated. Summoner smiled as he got in the car. He never felt more calm after a battle than he did with Smoky. The battle enraged him, but she calmed him.

Long Game 10: A Game of Shards
Mailliw73 replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Alright, sorry for not posting earlier. Snoopy, I apologize if you thought I was hounding you for info. I was just wary that information was getting passed so easily and so early in the game. I don't actually really think you're an OC, I just want to make sure people aren't giving away valuable information before they should be. I'm not sure whether you're evil or not, just that you need to be careful with that information and posting about it like you did in this thread doesn't help, except to give the OCs hints and ideas for who to kill. Snoopy, who's AntMax? Never mind, I figured it out. I'm curious as to why Aonar and Alv are so quiet. Aonar, you've seem to taken a back seat since your plan got a negative response. Alv, you're normally much more active than this. I'm also suspicious of Clanky, Winter, and Sarc's reasoning for their votes. I chose Winter because she's the one I feel most off about. Sarc's reasoning is awful, IMO, but he seems well-intentioned. Clanky is doing the same thing I was with Snoopy, and so I think he's likely clean too.- 929 replies

?..shouldn't that be 100 dollar bills? So, Half-Light was never part of that? That was awesome, but scary. I have a feeling that Darkrose is hunting down Milton for beating her in some kind of test.

Yeah. We, I mostly, might've fine a bit too far with that. I just happened to get right in the writing zone when I started that, so it went further then I'd planned. I agree with this very much. We're planning on turning down the creepiness for the rest of this collabo now. At least Protector Pug was also posted today.

It's a bit much for me too, honestly, but it definitely won't be taken any further and I don't plan on writing any more scenes like this. Ever, hopefully. Electro doesn't get to have everything he wants, because I said so. Take that, Electro.

And the night's not over yet. Twi, maybe if you lived in Epic-run Oregon, it'd be more exciting. The hunt wouldn't be a hunt otherwise. And yeah, there won't be anything more against these girls(other than hunting them) in these posts.

Thanks guys. I guess. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure Mail-mi and I are scarred forever by writing these creeps. Twi with Quota too, but at least he isn't participating in this. Electro's definitely my worst Epic. One of the worst things about this is All based off of a real serial killer in Alaska who took prostitutes to his cabin in the woods and then stripped them and hunted them in the forest. And this isn't even the worst of it yet. This was Electro's shining moment of creepiness, next is Timeport's.

First part of a complication post between me, Mail-Mi, and Twi. “Fastest one to kill their prey wins.” Timeport grinned at the prospect, flakes of dried blood peeling off of his cheeks. “A hunt,” he said, pretending to mull it over in his head. In reality, he’d already decided that he was going to sparking pound Electro into the ground. “I like that idea.” Timeport pointed his chin down and raised his eyebrows at the two other Epics. “Five victims. Meet at the old Japanese Gardens west of here, half an hour.” Timeport smiled wider as the others started to nod. He already knew what victims he’d be using. Electro smiled as Timeport upped the difficulty of his hunt. This one knew how to have fun. He agreed to the conditions and turned away, walking towards the northern edge of town. He knew some cute girls over there who'd be better off not roaming the streets, making fun of people. A couple of them had blown Electro off before he'd become an Epic and now he'd like revenge. ----- "Hey there, remember me?" Electro said smoothly as he walked up behind a pair of girls in the alley. He stroked the blonde's smooth hair and eyed the brunette. "What are you doing here, dressed like that? You'll attract the wrong kind of attention that way." He grinned at their uncomfortable looks. They weren't used to punks they had made fun of turning into Epics. Neither said a word. "Well, then, no answer? No witty comeback? Let's go have some fun," Electro said. He shot a burst of electricity into the alley behind them to make sure no one was coming and to remind the pair of sluts of his power. He ran his hand down the brunette's back and pulled them both closer. "We're going to play a game. But first," he said, "we need a few more players." He tugged both girls by their waists and began walking down the alley. They were reluctant, but they fearfully followed. Electro found a woman a few years older than him walking down the road, head down. She was attractive, though, and Electro liked the scared ones. Scared girls made for the best hunts. He Scrambled the woman and approached her. She looked up, confused. "What am I doing?" She asked him. "You're going to play a game with us, darling," Electro replied. He grinned maliciously and motioned for her to follow him. He let go of the two other girls and told them to wait. He shot a beam of electricity through the door of the nearest house. He put a finger over his lips and motioned for the women to follow him in. He strode into the house, hoping for some delicious prey. A bullet curved right past his chest. Electro spun to the side and laughed. A man, in his forties, stood holding a rifle towards Electro. His daughter, seventeen at most, huddled behind him. Electro severed the barrel of the rifle off and then the man's hand. "I don't want to hurt you. I just want your daughter." "Over my dead body, you creep!" The man yelled as he spat at Electro, clutching his arm stump. The girl's eyes grew wide in fear. Electro saw a glint of steel and a second later, a second bullet curved around his face. The daughter held a handgun out in front of her. Electro laughed again. "Feisty, I like that." "You slontze! Go creep somewhere else, pervert!" The girl yelled. Electro smiled. She had inherited her father's personality. "Sorry, but I'm running out of time. I only have a few minutes to meet Timeport." Electro shot electricity and severed her father's head. She shrieked and shot two more bullets at Electro. Both narrowly missed again, thanks to his magnetic field. He cut the handgun in half with his powers and went over to the girl. She screamed and punched him, landing a hard blow on his arm. "Come on. Play nice. We're just going to play a little game. See these girls, they're being good," he said, gesturing to the two other girls cowering by the door. Two? Electro looked out the window to see the blonde prostitute running. Lucky for him, she was in heels. Electro cursed and grabbed the girl, burning a small lightning mark into her hand to ensure her cooperation. He broke the windows and jumped out. He caught up to the blonde quickly and grabbed her around the waist. "Bad girl. Don't you want to play?" He kissed her forcefully. She slapped him hard. He cursed at her again and shot a burst of electricity at her ear, just barely cutting it. She stopped resisting and clutched it in pain. "Come on, let's go back and get the others." Electro pulled her by the arm and took her back inside where, luckily, the other three were still waiting. "One more player and we'll go to the gardens." Electro shepherded the girls outside and, spotting a perfect candidate across the street, he whistled. The woman looked over at him and ran. He shook his head and cut off the soles of her shoes. She stumbled, but caught herself. Good. Electro liked his prey relatively unscathed. ------ "I'm here. Let's play," Electro called out to Timeport and Quota as he reached the garden. He was only a few minutes late, not bad at all. Timeport had his five victims too and looked ready to play. "Shall we make this more fun?" Electro asked. He burned off a strip of the blonde's dress at the waist, which dropped her skirt to her ankles, and tied it around her eyes as she trembled. He smirked as he leered at her. "You girls too," he said to the other girls in his group. "Or I'll do it for you." He smiled at them, hoping they'd refuse. Only one did. Electro grinned at her as he came up closer so that she could hear him whisper. "I knew you liked me," he said. He reached for her waist and pulled her shirt off, brushing up against her skin the whole time. He grinned as he felt her terrified body beneath his hands. She began crying in fear. Electro kissed her on the cheek, mumbling, "It's okay. Don't worry."

Long Game 10: A Game of Shards
Mailliw73 replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
These two posts interest me very much. Snoopy, you're very involved in this apparently, knowing Cultivation as well as Winter knowing your role. That's very curious and I'm not sure if it's being a new player or being an OC that information is getting revealed so quickly and easily. I like that plan, but Gamma brings up a good point. If Ruin (and other killing-type roles)abstains from a kill tonight, then the Witness is just about guaranteed to catch Odium or an OC.- 929 replies

Protector Pug doesn't get any less adorable the second time around. Portland needs that. Sam and Angel both need those little pups. I'd say that the Triumvirate and Nighthound needs them, but they'd probably not see the cuteness and then I don't even want to imagine what happens next.
