  1. I really enjoyed that post. We saw both Euphoria and Insight at their worst. Edge brings up a good point that even I didn't think of. Hypno would probably be surprised to see Ogress die so quickly and then he couldn't hypnotize Insight, he has to see him for that, but Commands should work. How detached is Insight's bubble from the real world? Can I get his powerset again?
  2. Buttercup's signature sapphire light briefly illuminated the bridge as she touched down. Rainmaker spoke, attempting to hide her irritation at Hypno. He grinned internally, externally keeping a sober face. He knew how and when to gently push her buttons. It did Rainmaker good to remember his use. Rainmaker gathered up grey fog, blanketing the city, but leaving the bridge clear as she explained the interrogation. "Once the task has been completed, and you've assured me of your loyalty, I have your payment ready. Do I make myself clear?" "As always, milady, you are as clear as rain," Hypno responded. New subjects pleased him. Her next words to Buttercup soured his mood, "Be ready to follow my orders. If Hypno is unable to do his job, I'll need you here, ready to step in if things go poorly." Poorly? His Commands never did poorly. The High Queen created a cyclone that exposed a surprise. Chained in the river was a large mass known to most as the Iron Ogress. Hypno raised a single eyebrow. The Ogress was supposed to be dead. But Her Majesty had her ways. Ignoring Buttercup's outburst, Hypno forced down the fury that came from Rainmaker again underestimating him. He wasn't a simpleton who needed every explanation expounded on; his powers would obviously keep the Ogress honest. After a petty kick, Buttercup opened the iron mouth. My turn. "Iron Ogress, Calamity urges you to turn from your fallen ways," he said. Sometimes, Commands were best kept simply at one word, but other times, the showmanship needed a free rein. Putting his power into his voice he continued, "You shall answer the High Queen Rainmaker's questions truthfully and to the fullest extent." He ended the Command and flared his cape toward Rainmaker, signaling her to begin.
  3. A Command, yes. If it's one person to about eight. More than that and it'll be very hard. They'll have a grin slip by or a small chuckle. If he's trying it on a whole group, it won't do much at all.
  4. Thanks. It was figurative. Yeah, I see why it shouldn't be there again. Reading it now, it feels a bit forced. I'll work on the next bit and post that this weekend hopefully.
  5. The Unicyclist is a crowd favorite, I think. Definitely one of the funnest to read about. It's very interesting to get an outside look at our crazy writing and see that even people who aren't involved in it still enjoy it. Don't worry, it will be destroyed. It may take another year, but it'll happen. If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?
  6. Oh, yes. My Featherblades. That was...interesting. Looking back, it was pretty fun in an RP way, but kinda weird, not gonna lie. Feather's still awesome and I love her writing, but I'm no longer advocating a creepy stalker cult.
  7. Huh. Good question. I really don't know. Onomatopoeia is pretty cool. Because I have an addiction to joining RPs, I think. I wanted to create some superheroes with interesting powers and then the RP blossomed into the awesome community it is now and I'm so glad I joined. When I changed my avatar because I didn't quite like that picture of the Flash.
  8. Sheesh, Mary. Ugh. Just ugh. Edit: Sorry about not getting a Hypno post up yesterday. I'll try this afternoon or tomorrow night.
  9. This will only be happening this cycle. I don't plan to do this again, but here's my faction list: Mailliw Neo Hael Aonar Jain Clanky Seonid Orlok Emerald Which means that this must be the third faction: Phattemer Shallan Herowannabe Araris Dow Zephrer Joe Eowyn Alv Sorry, but that's incorrect. At a maximum, there'll be three people leaving a faction at once. Two bribed members and a spooked Discoverer. If only those names are shared in the thread, we can find the Discoverer easily without revealing our whole faction to you.
  10. A flame burst into view and Jag called for the others to stop. Their temporary vehicles were nowhere near weaponized enough. An old Toyota just wasn't Jag's style. Dragoon should fix that soon. Hellfire shouted and introduced the dark-skinned man that burrowed out of the ground. "Boys, Meet Banger, my earth Epic." "Welcome back, Hellfire," Jag said. "Banger, is that short for something?" He asked raising and eyebrow. It wasn't a name that an Epic would typically walk around with. Unless they were more lewd than most. 'Banger's' full name was a bit of a mouthful though. "Let's head out," Jag said after the brief introductions were made. "Hope you two can keep up." He smirked and sped off. When they arrived in town, Jag hopped out of his car, after ripping his door off. They need a bit of show to see who we are. Smasher expanded a force field and blew up a small car. "Where does Dragoon meet visitors?" Jag demanded. A few furtive glances and pointed fingers gave him his answer. "Thank you." He ditched his Toyota and began sprinting instead. The others followed.
  11. Just look at her and read Electro's description. I didn't even realize it until just now, but it's almost like he was written for her to play.
  12. How often do you find yourself speaking eastern street slang, pardon, I mean High Imperial in your daily life? Favorite Oregon RP character?
  13. I just wanted to make sure you saw this edit, Twi. I was thinking Sulley from Monsters, Inc. but still... while, we're casting characters, I think Samuel L. Jackson is a prime candidate for Frequency. And Miley Cyrus for Electro.
  14. Twi, I have one question about your circumstance: When you move, will Mollie and Bruno go with you?
  15. no, but I bet I can find it in here. Edit: Got it. 383K0P62302C2F9B20877F0200042BAFEDK193B00104000370FCCC0DFF7FFF1C01FECF0D937E35
  16. I don't see why not. That's why I didn't describe every single Protector Pup in detail. Emma doesn't have a dog with her, but her parents might. Yeah, me too. I think I can get up my Astoria and Corvallis posts tomorrow. I just read it a couple months ago.
  17. You've posted that clip many times, but I watched a good third of it this time, and you're right. This man is Obliteration.
  18. Since I have no idea what that is but it sounds awesome, sure! Edit: Kobold, who would Emma and Frostfire talk to to get his arrangements for the night set up?
  19. The morning dawned with new chances at taking Astoria. Dragoon would help, Jag was sure. When Hellfire flew off with no explanation, just a return time, Jag was frustrated, but not impeded. The four Destructors continued their work, gathering Commandos and temporary vehicles. Once ready, they headed out of town, Hellfire still not back. Jag scanned the skies for a fiery body, but nothing was there even to his or Hawkwing's enhanced eyes. They left town and headed north for Dragoon. Hellfire would either find them on the way or not. Jag didn't care.
  20. Huh. I'd been picturing it as happening in the afternoon to evening. Weird. I'll update my post. And there's a Destructors post going up too. Nothing big really, but it moves the plot.
  21. Alright, I think I understand the basics of this game. When does Gen2 start? I'll sign up as Wilor Zerrung.
  22. Has the whole riot mess happened in the dark?
