  1. Plot twist, she killed herself.
  2. Is anyone else sad to find out that Kelsier is the leader of the Ghostbloods. If what Mraize said about their goals is true, they’re basically cartoon bad guys. Kelsier gave up a Shard to save the world and is now running an organization as crappy as the Ghostbloods? They better have a more serious goal than trying to smuggle Investiture across Shadesmar.
  3. Navani's path seems pretty straight forward from here. She needs to leverage what she learned about anti-Investiture against her and Dalinar's Bondsmith powers in order to injure Odium baldly enough that Cultivation can kill and shatter him.
  4. I don't feel like there are any characters that have had enough PoV time to become something as important as a Bondsmith. Brandon would have to cram a whole lot into the next book to make it feel right, otherwise we have a demigod level character that we know next to nothing about. And that feels wrong. Maybe a character we haven't met yet could bond the Nightwatcher in the second half or during the gap. That would feel more natural that cramming one into the last book of this half.
  5. I think that the entire "Rlain Bondsmith" story line was a red herring that Brandon created with full knowledge that there was a moderately large population in the fandom that wanted it. It was actually quite transparent to me. There was never really a point in the book where I thought there was even the smallest chance of Rlain bonding the Sibling. Similarly, I was convinced ever since Oathbringer that Navani would be the one to bond the Sibling and fix Urithiru, given that the city is a giant fabrial and that is her entire shtick. It is interesting to see fan theories shape the narrative of the story, albeit in a relatively minor way. Additionally, I posit that any further red herrings that appear in the Cosmere henceforth be referred to as "Rlain Herrings". Thank you.
  6. Pull himself to Wax would require him getting around what they’re pushing on. Even if he did manage to get around it Wax could just shoot something else at Kel. It was pretty much always end in a pushing match, and Wax would win that easily.
  7. I always imagined a Gasper as just breathing in endlessly without filling their lungs. Like yawning but without stopping the inhale.
  8. Wax wins because of his Feruchemy. He can just get into a pushing match then tap iron and flatten Kelsier.
  9. That’s a third power though, and it isn’t really in line with the idea or theme of the Surges. Does everyone have extra powers completely unrelated to their Surges or Resonance that we don’t know about yet?
  10. Yea I just double checked that, I guess it’s squires. It seems really odd since both the Skybreakers and Lightweavers have a fairly large number of squires as well. I wonder what the ability Kal manifested during the arena match was then? I guess he has access to some ability that hasn’t be explained yet. I hate when things don’t make sense.
  11. It doesn’t though, it simply lets you push yourself harder, like Miles in era 2 MB.
  12. I’m sure you can push yourself further than usual since you instantly heal. Dalinar does it when he lifts the stone. His shoulders both pop but instantly heal the damage. It was still his strength lifting the stone.
  13. The Windrunner resonance is similar to Atium but without the visual cues. It is showcased in the arena fight scene in WoR.
  14. Stormlight doesn’t, but the intersection of Adhesion and Gravitation does. I believe it’s called a resonance in the coppermind, I don’t have time to look it up at the moment. The Lightweaver resonance is part of Shallan’s memory abilities.
  15. Szeth has access to the Windrunner surges and the passive combat skill that comes with it.
  16. They don’t gain strength or speed. They feel invigorated but that is likely due to the healing. Is there a WoB on this? I don’t recall it being in the books. Hadn’t Kal sworn the first oath by the time he started using Stormlight? Ym and Stump both used surges so they had absolutely sworn oaths.
  17. I’m not certain but I don’t think he had sworn any oaths yet. Im also not sure how Stormlight would have made a difference. He didn’t need to heal himself and his surges don’t have any sort of enhancement effects like Kaladin’s.
  18. You would store the part of yourself that makes you an Elantian, effectively making you a normal person. When you tap your nicrosilmind, you would become a much more powerful version of an Elantrian. Your Daa would hit like a nuke and your Edo would be unbreakable. Really any kind of Feruchemy is probably going to be strong with an Elantrian. Any attribute you store would probably be compensated for by your Elantian nature. For example if you stored strength, the Dor would probably fill in what you lost so that you would effectively be a compounder.
  19. Era 2 is probably my favorite setting so far, and Wax is one of my favorite characters Cosmere wide. Imagine standing next to your god, looking down at the world and saying "Why wont you help them?". Then god looks at you and says "I did help them, I sent them you". The fortitude it would require to shoulder that burden is unimaginable.
  20. I can’t see any reason a Fullborn would ever need to heal from a Shardblade hit, given that they have nearly unlimited F-steel. A radiant wouldn’t even have time to summon their blade. The Fullborn could tap steel, iron and pewter and then touch the radiant with A-chromium. Drain all of their Stormlight and deliver a slap with the force of a freight train. This would all happen faster than human eyes are even capable seeing.
  21. It just occurred to me that I’m putting non powered combat in a box of sword and spear style fighting. The truth is that Waxillium would kill all these swordmasters by the dozen with his pistol skills. Combat is combat, and your weapon of choice matters. Don’t bring a rock to a grenade fight.
