I'm a wee bit worried about the dynamic of having 4 hosts then add in a guest. 5 people in 15 minutes is kind of a tall order. But with their crazy schedules it most make it easier to get episodes recorded.

So I was bored and messing around on amazon and found this jewel Obviously this guy has little exposure to Brandon and doesn't really understand his writing style. Maybe we should educate him.

What's way interesting is the synonym for Unity is also Harmony (Sazed's shardic name) though I agree that I can't find one that fits any better. Unless we go along the lines of Empathy or Peace. But still not sure how well I like those either.

So this morning I had an interesting thought come to me. I was thinking about the terms we use when it comes to the shards and their influence on inanimate objects, such as Imbue or Endow. Both those terms imply and have a definition of giving something more than they naturally posses. Which is very much happens with all the different magic systems. Why bring this all up? I think what the shards do to people that use it is that it imbues/endows them with a greater power than they already naturally have. I think this is a small part of the bigger picture but still haven't fully found all the pieces of it. Just thought I would share my idea and hope maybe someone can help fill in the other pieces so we can learn more about what the shards do to people to make them be attuned to use the magic systems.

Very intersting note on why Vasher doesn't get sick "Another note here is that Nightblood can sense where Vasher is. This is because Nightblood has ingested and fed off Vasher's Breaths in the past. When he does that, it connects him to someone. It's also, by the way, one of the secrets as to why Vasher doesn't get sick when holding Nightblood, even though he's a good person. It's not simply familiarity (though that is part of it). Nightblood has a built-in test. If he feeds off you and you survive, then you become somewhat immune to his powers." So seems to be a connection maybe on a cognitive level.

I only live a few blocks from there so I may come spend a night out. Maybe I'll bring hot chocolate if I don't spend the night for all of you.

I wonder if your ability to combine the different metals is more closely related to your spiritual dna than limitations to the combined metals.

Yeah I thought the same thing about TenSoon and Marsh being those people. I doubt we would see Hoid in this early but it's entirely possible.

Yeah I was more curious if it came as a homage though to Tor for giving him his shot but not an actual representation of the building. Even if not still a wicked cool term for the book.

Intersting comment by Peter on the release of the book: "Peter Ahlstrom: From now until November they'll be releasing about a third of the book online" So looks like we will get to read a good chunk of it! Unless you are Josh or Mi'ch and have read the whole book already

I must have missed seeing that. That's good to know though. Intersting thought is that the building is called Ironspine, which I theorize is a hommage to Tor's main office which they call it something like the Iron Tower or something with Iron in the name...(stupid 4 hours of sleep making brain not work so well) I wonder if Peter or Brandon would confirm this or if there is a greater meaning to it.

So it seems that Sazed's new shard name is Harmony. Anyone else have thoughts on it?

I hate when people ask you for something and it's implied that they owe you one after that favor. Then when that return favor is owed, they fail to deliver on the return.

I'm stuck in a similar dilemma Zas. I can go pratical and go for computer science which is what I do for a job thus bettering my income where I work or I could do what I love which is writing/editing/helping authors. Puts me in a bit of a bind to be honest. That's why for the mean time I'm just working on my generals which I should have done in a year and go from there.
