I would like to say that my move to the house we bought went smooth, but dang being a home owner is expensive... Oh and I think I may have blown my knee out again while my wife is pregnant. Last time we had a kid, I blew it out and had to have surgery; now that we are expecting in May what do I do, injury my knee again, but I don't want to find out if it is blown quite yet. I'll give it a few weeks to see if there is any change.

Last I had heard regarding Aether is Brandon was still up in the air on if it would be part of the cannon or not.

Oh but the part where we learned the letter was in fact to someone in Dragonsteel was nice. Especially with the follow up question about if the person was the one who is very active in what is going on in the book with characters (name left out like this until approval from Chaos/Peter) keeps getting mad at in the book. He gave me a RAFO with a big smiley face which leads me to believe we are also on the right track.

It's been officially confirmed by Brandon that the reciepent of the letter in Way of Kings is in fact also in Dragonsteel. Huge question answered there for us.

I wonder if this is similar to how people feel after giving up their breath and become a drab.

Here's an interesting new question about the ARS Arcanum. We now know that it was written by the same author (which we did have it confirmed it was a member of the 17th Shard or Hoid.) So then why is the voices/styles slightly different between the versions? My opinion though I would like to have it confirmed is that the first version was when the first world travelers start arriving at other worlds and didn't fully understand the implications of what they were learning and as they learned more they found a much larger cosmere relevant information that needed to be related. I see it much more like when you are writing a research paper of the same genre but different topics within it. The more you write the more fuller you understand the full implications. That's a personal theory but I think verification on if the reason it has changed is because the understanding of the writer has expanded due to his learning would be good information to have rather than just assuming it.

Personal theory here and it seems to make sense in context, the person that wrote this is in fact the recipient of "the letter." Why? They have a non-intervention policy which leads me to believe they are just a traveling scholar. Why it's not Hoid is simple, Hoid meddles to much and doesn't seem to concerned in the how it works so much as sticking his nose in the worlds business. Or it does sound a bit like Sazed. Maybe this is his long epigraph...

Finally broke down and started reading the 2nd ASOIAF. It's ok, I find that I'm finally starting to enjoy a few of the characters but he is way to slow for me.
