Dan noticed Shae having trouble and grabbed the shirt with his teeth, moving his head to get it all the way off. He set it aside and sat there for a moment, until he became conscious of the fact that Shae wasn’t wearing a shirt anymore. He looked at Shae’s chest and couldn’t stop himself from drooling, not that he wanted to stop. @ShadowLord_Lith

Dan took Shae’s hand and led him up to roof, trying to stay balanced and succeeding mostly because of the weight he could throw around with his wings. He sat down in his nest. @ShadowLord_Lith

Dan blinked a few times and shook his head to try and clear it. “So... I think I’ll throw up if I drink anymore. Wanna go and talk at my nes’ er something.” @ShadowLord_Lith

“Though,” Dan said, looking at his arm, “you’re definitely more colorful than me ‘cause I’m always dark. Here, try this.” He slid a shot towards Shae. Wouldn’t hurt, right? @ShadowLord_Lith

“Tesans, which my dad was,” now he was saying things wrong, apparently, “are completely immune, but I’m not ‘cause my ma was Winged and she aren’t. You have Breaths? Okay, it makes you more colorful, right? Not that I think you aren’t already... you’re very handsome.” @ShadowLord_Lith

“I don’t actually know,” Dan said. “It would probably take me another four shots to get me that intoxicated.” He smiled at Shae. He felt light-headed, but maybe that was just because he was looking at Shae’s face? @ShadowLord_Lith

“It’s pretty adorable,” Dan admitted with a grin. @ShadowLord_Lith

“It’s good to know that you can still think right,” Dan muttered, then answered Shae’s question. “Because I’m drunk and you’re my boyfriend so I can get away with it.” @ShadowLord_Lith

“Well,” Dan said, leaning toward Shae, “that would probably take more time than we have, huh?” @ShadowLord_Lith

“If you wanted to murder someone,” Dan said, rolling his eyes, “you’d be too confused and drunk to do it. Your plan is flawed. And anyway,” he continued, “you’re still in control of your actions. You just see your options differently.” @ShadowLord_Lith

“Don’t worry, it sharpens your focus towards some things,” Dan said. “What it really does is make you stop caring about consequences. Like,” he leaned over and kissed the side of Shae’s face, then sat back, “my chair could’ve fallen over, but I don’t really care anymore, and I’m not that drunk.” @ShadowLord_Lith

“Yes, sometimes, but other times it feels good to not have it,” Dan said. Another shot. He had stamina. @ShadowLord_Lith

“It’s just supposed to make you lose focus,” Dan said. “It makes you feel good after it sets in.” The barmaid walked over and refilled Shae’s glass. Dan took another shot. Tequila, thankfully, wasn’t expensive here. @ShadowLord_Lith

“Certain kinds of kisses are weird,” Dan printed out. He leaned over and breathed softly in Shae’s ear. “That’s weird,” he said lightly, then sat back and took another shot. “Just because it’s weird doesn’t mean it doesn’t make you feel good.” He gulped down another shot. @ShadowLord_Lith

"I'm going to just get tequila," Dan said, "but you... mm... wine? Wait, that's too expensive." It wasn't like Dan was poor or anything, he was paid well for doing a lot of nothing, but he'd been raised to be frugal, so he was. "Just beer again for you." He waved the barmaid over and asked for the drinks, then picked up the shots as he got them and threw one back, enjoying the blaze of fire it made in his throat. @ShadowLord_Lith

Dan walked over to the mess hall with Shae, since he was honestly too tired to fly, then went to the bar and sat down. @ShadowLord_Lith

For the next two hours or so, they fought sporadically while talking and laughing most of it. Dan was quite convinced that his life had never been better, and when the sun started setting he was eager to go sit and drink. “Hey,” he said to Shae after pinning the smaller man, “it’s about the right time? Ready to go?” @ShadowLord_Lith

Dan swept around to stand back up, sweeping his leg out and kicking Shae. @ShadowLord_Lith

Dan knew that Shae was feinting, so he swung around and put his momentum behind a kick to Shae’s gut. @ShadowLord_Lith
