Dan nodded, then took Shae with him and found the Waiter. He fired at the attacker’s hand three times before the Waiter noticed him from ten feet away, then walked forward and fired again at his other hand.

“Yeah,” Dan said, feeling like an idiot for letting Shae do this but also knowing that he’d be a jerk to try to stop him. “I love you,” he continued quietly.

“And I’ll use my claws,” Dan said. That he could do quite easily. “Overpower him. I’m good at swinging around, too.”

“Oh, thank the Sisters, you have handguns,” Dan said, relieved. He knew how to use those. He picked one up, loaded it, cocked it, then aimed and shot down the hall into a corpse. “Just load it with these,” he held up a cartridge from his belt and pretended to put it into the gun, though he didn’t have to, “this,” he cocked the gun again, “and click the trigger here,” he did so and shot the corpse again. “I don’t know how to use rifles or anything, so I’m stuck with these.”

Dan sighed and said, “Okay, fine. I love you. I won’t let you die.” He kissed Shae for a second, Dan’s whole body feeling tense and ready to kill, but having Shae here was making him anxious as well. “He’s down that hall,” Dan said, flicking his ears toward the hall he meant.

“Him? I think he’s somewhere in here.” He stood up and pulled Shae to his feet. “But I really don’t want you to get hurt, so go somewhere safe, please.”

“You are so weird,” Dan said, his face stinging. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He was just happy that Shae was awake. “I’m sorry about the blood... most of it isn’t mine.”

Dan growled and punched Shae in the face. “That’s for being an idiot.” Then again. “And that’s to try and wake you up.” He licked Shae’s face.

Dan saw Shae, and stopped moving. He ran over to Shae and pushed him against a wall, then looked around and saw that there were no other people around. It was safe. Dan nuzzled Shae’s face, then winced and licked off all the blood he’d gotten on Shae’s nose and cheek. He looked Shae up and down, then licked the wound on Shae’s arm. It was freaking him out so much to see Shae like this, but he still managed to stay outwardly calm. “You okay?”

Dan ran through the halls, mauling the faces of all the Ghostblood soldiers or otherwise enemies he saw. He had blood drenching his face and arms, and he didn’t care.

Dan was sweeping down and grabbing enemies two at a time, hauling them into the air and dropping them from ridiculous heights. When the soldiers on the ground continued firing after the gunpowder from their fallen fellows was out of the casings and in the air, it exploded and killed even more. After some time of this, there was no attackers left in the courtyard, Dan was tired and had three bullet wounds, and there was a helicopter to deal with. Dan flew up and rammed into the window, kicking it open, then dragged the pilot out and dropped him. The helicopter had controls inside... and a steering stick-thing. Dan shoved it to the side and went back to the battlefield. “Fire on that helicopter,” he told his soldiers, and they did, and it blew up. “Okay, hunt down everyone inside the buildings with a Ghostblood mark, but don’t shoot anyone else.” The soldiers flooded into the halls and shot down the Ghostblood soldiers as they came.

Dan saw Ace and said, “Yeah, he’s there,” he pointed at the Waiter.

Dan grabbed Shae and slammed him to the ground. “Leave. Right. Now.” He stood back up and jumped into the air, flying into battle and grabbed some more grenades.

Dan roared and slammed the Waiter to the ground with his full body weight and a powerful beat of his wings. He ripped into the Waiter’s face with his claws.

Dan rammed into the attacker.

Dan saw Shae running at one of the gun-wielding attackers and dived immediately, ramming into the attacker from behind with enough force to at least break the attacker's spine.

@Darth Sir Woodrack Groot The lava Epic's powers stopped working. Whoop-ee. Epic powers apply as Investiture in the Alleyverse. The wall remained undamaged. It was made to withstand nuclear fallout. It was a literal bunker. Soldiers got out their assault rifles, formed a line, and fired at all of the attackers. Dan flew above them and tossed all three grenades at the attackers. @Element of Chaos

Dan burst out into the sky from the school building and flew towards the barracks immediately. He grabbed a grenade or three, and made sure all of the soldiers got assault rifles, then flew out to attack.
