  1. I HATE that ending! It removes all the drama, and leaves open the possibility that Szeth survived. (He obviously did, but that's beside the point.) It's much more dramatic and unexpected to come back from the dead than to survive a "two hurricane-level storm."
  2. ((Denied! The pack is on Thow's back. In order to throw it away, you would have to take it from him, which he isn't going to let happen.))
  3. THREAD NECROMANCY! As the head of the (unofficial) Threadbringers, I approve this necromancy.
  4. "Oh, storms yes! Everybody, give the Lopen your spheres! I've got glowing to do."
  5. I personally like both theories, but I do have something to add to the minor spren one. When Kaladin is testing his Full Lashing abilities with Sigzil, he notices tiny, purple spren. These are gravityspren. Now, since Shardplate is made of hundreds of interlocking plates, it might make sense that each is a gravityspren. Hear me out. If Syl, represents the Adhesion Surge of the Windrunners, and the other Surge is Gravitation... Pick apart this theory. I'm rushed, so it's not the best.
  6. Meh. While Scadrial's number is 16, I keep getting the vibe that Roshar's is 10. For some reason, 10 just feels symmetrical, and Roshar is all about symmetry.
  7. You know, I have to agree with physicskid. Hero of Ages would have been a much worse book if nobody died. I think that that realism in Brandon Sanderson works is what makes him a great author. I also agree with Ansalem. That is definitely one of my favorite scenes in the book.
  8. "Well-er- you see-" the man stuttered, glancing nervously at the Shardblade. Then he noticed Winter, and started. "Oh, it's you! How'd you get here? I thought I left you back in the forest." He chuckles nervously, reaching towards his pack.
  9. Thow walks right into the Lord of Chaos, making him fall onto the ground.
  10. A dark green vortex opened in the ceiling, above the buffet. The man falls from it and smashes into the table, breaking it. He gets up and curses, kicking the tacos. He pulls a potato out of his pack, oblivious to everyone else.
  11. Suddenly, Thow's head shoots up, his eyes wide. "That's it!" he exclaims loudly, ignoring the shushes. "Books before friends! 17th Shard before the real world! Release dates before birthdays!" He then shouts in an unintelligible language, the words sending shockwaves through observers' souls. He then reaches into his pack and throws the potato onto the ground. He leaps into the portal, which has a slight green tinge to it.
  12. The power of a Threadbringer! (An as of yet undiscovered order of the Knights Awkward.)
  13. A PotatoShard!
  14. ...... I have no idea how to respond to that. A little help, Queen Elsa?
  15. Thow tried to walk in, but tripped on the threshold and fell on his face.
  16. YES! You, sir, deserve to get a Shard.
  17. The man freezes at the sight of Winter. He smiles awkwardly, trying to act disarming. Suddenly, he throws the potato in his hands at the wall behind Winter and Queen Elsa, yelling, "Convient distraction!" He reaches for his pack, and pulls out a gleaming, brown Shardblade. He stares at it, confused. He scratches his head.
  18. ALL HAIL POTATOES!!!
  19. Thow shakes his head. "I'm not particularly fond of the idea of putting pieces of metal into me, opening myself to Odium's influence, just to fit into all the orders." He stops, looking confused. "...How do I know that?"
  20. Thow scratches his head and replies, also whispering, "That's the problem. I've contacted the akwardspren, and I appear to be part Referencecaller, Theoryweaver, Quipsmith, Convertshaper, and Rolesmith, with a little bit of thread-necromancy."
