  1. A crack boomed from the sky. Had anyone been outside, they would have seen a flare of light as a flaming drop pod* burst through the atmosphere, streaking towards the Roughs. As it was, the first indication of its presence was when the drop pod smashed into Mace's ranch house, plowing through half the structure before stopping, leaving a deep trench in its wake. Its sides were scorched from re-entry, covered in black soot. What was left of the house behind it seemed to have caught fire, where it wasn't scattered across the ground in tiny pieces. The pod sat there for a few seconds, then its front popped off, revealing Drako He'Stan, surrounded by three other space marines. He glanced around and cursed, before noticing Rhazien. He scratched his the back of his helmet sheepishly. "Sorry about that?" he said helplessly. Behind him, one of the remaining walls crashed to the ground, throwing sparks into the air, and he winced. *A drop pod is a giant metal box used to deploy troops from space, usually by dropping them from orbit. It's slightly more advanced than that, but you get the gist.
  2. A space marine wandered in, obviously confused. As soon as she saw the fighting, though, she excitedly sat on the bleachers and pulled out a hand-radio, speaking into it. Before long, the stands were filled with emerald giants, jockeying for space and snacks. Half of them groan as Kain dodges the punch, while the others cheer wildly.
  3. Drako sipped his tea, wondering how he had gotten from the monastery to the fortress so quickly. The last memory he had was fighting a man in black after freeing Tevarah. And now there was... a wedding going on? This abominable place was weird. He set his tea down and started walking back to the AlleyVillage. Heresy or no heresy, one did not simply go to a wedding without an appropriate gift for the couple.
  4. Drako ran out from one of the alleys, dropping to his knee and smashing his gauntlet into the ground around Tevarah. The stone slab shattered, and Drako forcibly pulled Tevarah out of the dirt ground below it. He set him down, waving for one of his two marines to drag him into the alley. He looked around, seeing the broken monastery and the warped bodies of the Dakhor monks lying on the ground. A thunderclast rampaged in a forest down below. Emperor's Throne, he thought. What mess have I gotten myself into? He stood up, looking hard at Tevarah. "Start talking," he said. "What happened here?"
  5. "Lopen can teleport," Drako said, irritated. "I don't need to go to somewhere else for him to fix the Questor Imperialis." He handed the card back to the messenger. "I can't go, anyway. I'm expecting a... delivery sometime in the next few days. I can't miss it." He frowned, holding his hand in front of his helm. "Rhazien does need to be taken down, though..."
  6. Drako stared at the aluminum card, then looked up. "What in the Emperor's name is 'Sel'?" he asked.
  7. Drako looked at the stone... person? Yes, definitely a humanoid of some kind. "That fight wrecked most of the AlleyVillage," he said, lifting another stone block with the person. "Rhazien, the man who started it, escaped before we could kill him." Setting the block down, he offered his hand. "I'm Drako He'Stan, leader of the Salamanders Chapter. Thanks for the help."
  8. Drako picked up another stone block, grunting. One of his Salamanders, Vel'Cona, picked up the other end, lifting it with Drako. Together, they slowly shuffled towards the walls of a ruined home. Behind him, the Knight marched up the street, hauling a sled of building supplies towards the ruined town center. The thunder of its steps accompanied the hubbub of the plaza; the ringing of Tu'Shan's hammer strikes, the cries of marines directing construction, and the bustle of the growing shantytown. People filed around the two marines as they walked, their eyes hollow. Right now, activity was the best thing the Salamanders could give these poor souls. Drako and Vel'Cona heaved the block up onto the wall, shifting it into place. Drako nodded at Vel'Cona, dismissing him. He turned his head, looking back at the broken town. He saw MacThorston and Lopen, arguing with a marine over the benefits of "hemalurgy". He saw representatives from TUBA, setting up a makeshift bakery. Voidus sporatically popped in and out of reality, waving his hands and drawing symbols of light before disappearing again. He saw the alleys, light and dark, stretching through the town. The mess of tents and shanties only created more of them, promising secrets wonderous and terrifying. He smiled. No, the Alleyvillage was not broken. Rhazien had failed in that, at least.
  9. Boy, things are moving fast. The emerald-armored giants are space marines. They all have Shardplate, are 7ft tall, and are armed with heavy assault rifles. Two in each squad of 10 are armed with the equivalent of Spartan Lasers. The mecha is a Knight. It stands 30 feet tall, and is armed with a cannon arm, a giant chainsword-arm, and a small machine gun on its chest. Speaking of the Knight... Suddenly, an enormous mech burst through the only standing building in the plaza, its engines roaring. The Knight slowed to a stop before Rhazien, bellowing a challenge as it fired its arm cannon at him.
  10. These are Space Marines, thank you very much Anyway, reactions: @Jehoiada, your Shardblade attack sends one gunship into a flaming spiral, where it crashes into the ground off target. The other, though damaged, lands safely. @LopenTheTwoArmedHerdazian, the gunships are made of so much metal that the Awakening just slides off them. The Thunderhawk lands, disgorging a force of emerald-armored giants. They charge through the waffle batter, firing volleys at Rhazien and Jehoiada.
  11. Sorry about the delay. Anyway- army update! I've got the the following: Reactions will appear soon.
  12. And it's still coming! ...Eventually. Once I finish with school, maybe.
  13. Drako pushed himself out of the rubble, coughing. His Shardplate felt sluggish, and his breastplate was completely shattered. His ribs felt cracked, and his helm was barely holding together. His bolter was nowhere to be seen. Sounds of battle raged far away. Drako struggled to focus, lifting his head towards the plaza. Rhazien was still standing. Despite having lost most of his Shardplate and Stormlight and taking a beating from half the Alleyverse, Rhazien was still standing. He was holding another sword, just as long as his other blade, and was walking away from the carnage around him. Drako looked around wearily. The AlleyVillage was in ruins. Mace's reckless bombing had left scores of people dead or injured. Mac's balefire had taken even more. Bodies littered the ground- some moving, some not. He looked again to Rhazien. That arrogant heretic had brought destruction to everything Drako had come to love. He stood there, boasting of his power. Of his unbeatable strength. Drako shoved the rubble off him, snarling. He grabbed his radio from his belt. "Astartes!" he shouted. "Launch Operation Dragoon. Bring the Titan." He shoved the radio back onto his belt. High above him, gunships broke through the clouds, streaking down towards the village. Drako would show this arrogant slontze what power really was.
