  1. Ok, also, If a PM is started between two bodies, and one of the bodies is hopped/snatched/whatever else you may call it, Does the PM continue, or do you have to start new PMs with that person after?
  2. I've posted my idea for this game before, but now I am working on getting it ready to be approved, to hopefullly run this in the future. I've changed the format somewhat so that it's not too short to even be run as a QF, and I'll post the not secret part here, because I am looking for feedback on balancing this portion of the game. The remaining portions will be discussed with people on the committee who approves the games after I've finished creating them, but prior to me actually running the game. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
  3. How long do you expect this game to run? I'll have a couple days in early to mid march(not sure which yet) where I will probably not be able to get on at all, and I don't want to go inactive. For now ask for a link to the Spec doc, but that may change.
  4. I'm compiling an excel sheet of who has claimed to which medallions. Would there be anything against sharing a screenshot of that with the thread? Since I will no longer be able to use it, perhaps it can be beneficial to someone else. My original excel document had it set up so I could track from cycle to cycle, but I would just be sharing the info from C1. Also, it appears that either the holder of the Tin medallion is inactive, or elim held, or for some reason, they're waiting until cycle 2 starts to share their results.
  5. Like i said, it was just for kicks. Purely to watch reactions Sure, Here is my in-depth analysis(spoiler for length) TL;DR? Basically, It seems like Devotary has mentioned me a disproportionate amount of times within his posts, most of those seem to be in attempt to build a relationship with me. Or their posts seem friendly or even supportive of some of my ideas and thoughts. (granted all of this could be a coincidence, or me grasping at strings)) They also were the one to place the deciding vote against me, despite seeming supportive or even defending my thoughts. They also advocated using bendalloy, which delays when the information is actually received from my lynch(though I am grateful for that. It gave me more time to talk I had no PM contacts. I don't think there's any PM mechanism in this game at all. I think PMs aren't allowed
  6. So it seems most of the votes against me are because I cleared Lumgol for the time being, or because of my early hedging, later freaking out about the bandwagon against Fura. In my defense, I started writing my post where I freaked out about the bandwagon, right after I believe the third vote in the space of a couple of hours, and the 4th vote overall had landed on him, though due to timing of work obligations, it was posted a bit after that. I didn't, and still don't believe that there was enough info to go off to have such a bandwagon on Fura. It looks like it faded away though. With regards to me clearing Lumgol, Everyone keeps using the term hard-clear. I never said that I'm hard clearing him. I said the claim after we already had 6 other was enough to clear him for now, because it didn't seem like an elim move to intentionally put themselves into a group that would be further examined. But, Bygones be bygones, right? I'm trying to look at the lynch against me, Elandera seems like an honest vote. It doesn't seem like a very Elim move to try to start up a whole new lynch near the end of the cycle on someone new. Unless of course, none of the elim team was up for lynch and they wanted to stir a bit of chaos, Either way, I still read it as an honest vote, and I'm willing to give Elan the benefit of the doubt. This vote alone, in my opinion doesn't make it more likely for them to be an elim. Lumgol, I suppose I understand your vote on me as well. Especially since you feel like you've been caught up in Elim pocketing attempts before, it's best to get out while you still can. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt as well, and I don't think your vote makes you more likely to be Elim Fura's vote I definitely understand, as I did the same thing for my vote. Survival. The vote alone does not make Fura more likely to be an elim in my opinion Steel's vote doesn't resonate well with me, but I don't have anything concrete about the vote that stands out to discuss or bring people awareness about. Just feels fishy. Perhaps his vote alone does increase the likelihood of Steel being elim in my book, but not really enough to do much about it. Devotary's vote is interesting. At the time of his vote, the lynch was tied 4-4 between me and fura. Reading through Devotary's posts, it seems like for the most part they either agreed with me, or understood my reasoning. Throughout the first couple of pages, I was mentioned a lot in their posts. (Partly because I've been contributing a lot though) but even on other posts where I haven't been mentioned, it seems to me as if Devotary had been sympathizing with ideas and thoughts that I also had. I might put it as a soft attempt to pocket me, but when they saw it wasn't working, they knew that they had nothing to lose in voting for me, because I'm just another villager. If this was another day cycle, and I had no other information than the information I've presented in this post, I would vote for Devotary A couple last things. I might not get back on to post again, as I'm at school, so I may be focusing on classes. I'm also attempting to start writing a novel, or at least the premises of one. (I've never taken a writing class, so it's real fun working through this stuff), so I may choose to focus on that as well. If anyone still has questions for me, go ahead and ask them and I'll see if I can get back on and help answer them. and Lastly, Just for kicks, and maybe to have a little fun watching people's reactions(Please don't pay this any attention until I actually do die, and flip one way or the other. Like I said, it's just for kicks) When I flip village, My best guesses for an elim team of 4 are Devotary, Xino, and two others, (possibly Eternum and Steel, though those two were mostly chosen randomly, with a little bit of gut feeling) If I flip Elim, my team mates ARE Devotary, Fura, and Roadwalker (one of those could or could not be replaced by Lumgol)
  7. Well, that's a bummer. That's the first time I've experienced the feeling of an attack being mounted after you've gone to bed and not being able to do anything about it, and the second time in a row I've been lynched D1 Lucky for me, I get to comment still this time around So, first off, I do have Nicrosil and Aluminum. I hope the holder if the tin medallion did scan aluminum last night, so you can find the real culprit. Second, I will be using my nicrosil on someone tonight. I already have a person in mind, but it may change. Is there anyone that everyone trusts well enough that I should use it on them? If you give me one specific name, it's more likely that that person will be attacked by the elims(maybe) but if you give me a list of suggested people, I can choose from that list. Third, i wish i was at work today, as most if my extensive game notes are on that computer, and I would share some of my suspicions. I also have a list of who has what metal D1, but I suppose any of you could go back through the thread and do that. Fourth, I am a villager, and I'd be willing to answer any question the rest of you have for me, to the best of my ability at least. I'm also going to try to go through the thread again one more time, and post who I find most suspicious. Please don't just shrug off my analysis if I do get it posted. Lastly, I know some of you still don't believe my claim, but after I'm revealed at rollover, please go back and look through my posts. I haven't been trying to pocket anyone. I'll address the rest if the concerns raised against me during the bandwagon against me at the end of last cycle between classes today.
  8. For purposes of self preservation, since I'm not sure if I'll be on again after this until rollover, and I'm close to being lynched elandera, furamirionid Yes, I read the points against me, but don't have time to respond as of right now. I'll respond if I survive until the night cycle though
  9. I hope no one minds, but I'm experimenting with different countdown clock websites to see if I can find another one that works, since the last one we used has stopped working. I'll keep it all to this one post https://countingdownto.com/?c=2391331
  10. Unfortunately, The tineye action takes place at rollover, which is the time between the day turn and the night turn, and the lynch ends at the end of the day turn, so we won't know the results until after this lynch. And don't worry, I'm pretty sure fura knows you don't mean anything personally,(is it fair to speak for someone else?) it's just that none of us like being lynched D1. Happened to me last game it was a bummer.
  11. Whoa whoa whoa! I don't think Fura is a lynch-worthy target! Just a person of interest. I would much rather lynch one of the people of the 7. Let's not have any of this bandwagon stuff going on. Here's the list of 7 Lumgol They are the one that claimed last, so they threw the number above the maximum of 6. By the time they revealed this, it was already known that if one more person were to claim, it would throw suspicion on the whole of the group. While it is possible that they are trying to pull some type of gambit, I don't think they would do that, and for that I am clearing them for now. Elandera They themselves have admitted to being bad at lying when they are an elim. So this means that they could be an elim lying, or a villager actually role claiming. I'm putting them as neutral for now. Also, if he is an Elim, and lynched today, that would be painfully ironic, due to his elim track record. Most of their posts have been regarding medallion mechanics, and how the medallions must have been distributed. Ultimately they read as standard D1 posts. Clarifications, and speculations. However, I don't notice any player analysis, so that could mean something. Ark1002 Ark doesn't have much content yet, and the content they does have is very brief. I don't see that as particularly telling of of them either way, because their post styles are usually fairly brief and to the point. Neutral for now, just because I can't lean either way with him. Steeldancer Not a ton of posts from Steeldancer. He has claimed to have 2 medallions, which makes me slightly more likely to believe hiis claim. Soft clear on Steeldancer CadCom I feel like others would be best to do this analysis, as I'm obviously biased with my super villagey perspective (I'm pretty sure I claimed first Xino has very few posts. One is responding to Fathertiempo's question about how many elims there are, informing him that we don't know the number, but also stating that we can guess based on relevant information. It is interesting that they didn't provide any guesses themselves. This could be considered suspicious, but at the same time, if he's just been somewhat inactive this cycle, it is completely reasonable I have a hard time voting for them though, because i don't have very strong case due to lack of posts yet, as this could be caused by many things. Fathertiempo Their posts tend to ring village to me, I am hesitant clearing them though, because I've never played with them before, therefore I do not know their playstyle. I'm also even more hesitant to put them up for the lynch, because it's not very neighborly to kill off someone D1 the first time they play a game in the community. We don't want anyone moving to other pastures --- Based on the Order people claimed, CadCom, Elan, Steel, Ark, Xino, Father, Lumgol, I am leaning toward either Elan, Steel, ark or Xino. But from above, Elan, Ark, and Xino were my neutrals/suspicious. I still don't feel good about the xino lynch, because it's too early to tell whether or not they'll start posting more. And Ark is only neutral because I have no read. so I'm going to vote for Droughtbringer, Elandera. --- (if anyone else still wants to claim aluminum, I'll put your names on the list as well! For any additional person who truthfylly claims , it increases the likelihood that we catch an elim from this group. because currently it's 1/7 or more, but if we get one more person who says that they have aluminum, then it becomes 2/8(1/4) or more, two more people to claim and it's 3/9(1/3) or more. That's why I think it's better to focus on this group. Currently We know for sure that there is at least one liar, therefore most likely elim in this group.) --- With regards to the Fura lynch, I don't see that it's a very beneficial lynch at the time. Of course, it was Fura's idea todo a medallion call, and unless I've missed something, they still haven't participated. I see two possible causes for that. 1 is that they are actually elim, and the other is because when they asked about the medallion call, they just wanted to guage the group's reaction, and they have been in favor of not revealing any info at this time. I would like to see them claim if they haven't yet.
  12. I'm going to ignore the part about past games, and I hope everyone else does too. My odds of being an elim (Or anyone else's odds for that matter) are probably 4/18 regardless of whether I was the previous game. I realize that you probably know that as well, and were just putting that in there to make sure everyone knows. I am still supporting role claiming, there was just something about Fifth's post where he voted for you That made me re-read your posts, and in my head, all of a sudden I read a more suspicious tone to your first couple of posts. Like I said, It's not enough to pursue it at this time, but I'm just letting you and everyone else know. This portion, I was ninja'd by Devotary. We now have a list of seven suspects. From that list, at least one person is definitely lying, so they are likely an Eliminator. Any Tin medallions should definitely scan Aluminum. I want to change my vote to one of the other 6 in that group, not me, in order to hit one of them, but I'm still waiting for a response from @droughtbringer. It seems my tag function still isn't working. Hopefully he sees these messages.
  13. I'm going to go ahead and finish some mmymedallion analysis. New info has been discussed that changed my position on some of the previous medals(especially Pewter) But I feel that these have been discussed adequately in the thread, so I will leave them out for now. Spoiler for Length: I'd also like to further the lynch discussion in the thread now. So far the only vote I saw was on Furamirionind. It looks like, unfortunately, we are starting to get into a habit of late lynches, which gives an unfair disadvantage to whoever happens to be in the wrong time zone for the game schedule. Obviously I'm partially to blame, as I'm placing my lynch in the last 16 hours of the cycle as well. But better late than later or never, i suppose. I can't help but agree with the suspicious nature of Fura's desire to have everyone medallion claim, on the very first post of this cycle. Elims already know who has most of the medallions, but it would be in their best interest to get as much information as possible about the additional medallions, to know who to fear this cycle. If they could have gotten someone to claim a valuable role, then this, however, their posts of explanation later on, suffice an explanation for me for now. So, I'm going to look at other candidates from this point going forward. So far, it seems, based on the reveals so far, that no one has more than 2 medallions, and those that have claimed to have 2 so far, at least one of them is Aluminum, which suggests that the Elims gave it to them. Additionally, already, 6 people have claimed to have Aluminum Medallions, and there cannot be more than 6, so if anyone else does have aluminum, please speak up, we will be able to determine with certainty that at least one of us is lying. (Unfortunately, if you do speak up, out of a technicality, you will be added to that list of possible liars, but in my book you would be slightly more cleared than the others) As for now, Droughtbringer, This is more of a poke vote than anything else though, You are the first person who has claimed 2 medallions without explicitly claiming aluminum. While I suppose it is technically possible that both of his medallions came from the random assignment of one of each medallion beginning C1, he would then be the first to have definitely gotten 2 from that if that were the case. I don't know specifically what information I'm looking for from them, because I don't want to make them role claim if they don't want to. But if they respond, I'll judge whether it satisfies the type of response I'm looking for. @droughtbringer (My tag function doesn't appear to be working. I'll try editing it and seeing if the tag works then.
  14. Hmm. I read it as meaning that it works immediately and passively, but you do bring up a good point. @Kidpen, could we get some clarification. Does Pewter take effect only once attacked? or does it take effect from the beginning of the game?
  15. Pewter medallions are destroyed after they are used, and they are passive, so they would automatically use it C1, and then no one else would be able to use it.
  16. Steel: You can prevent someone from receiving any medallions next day. (Night) I think steel would be more useful to elims, who have a better idea of who is who, and who is getting closer to discovering them. Iron: You may ironpull to have a guarantee of at least one medallion next day. In the situation where this is impossible to do, some people will not receive one. In a conflict between Steel and Iron, one of the two will win at random. (Night) Iron seems to be useful to anyone equally, as I believe that most people would have it in their best interest to try to get more medallions. Pewter: You gain one extra life from kills, including lynches. After taking affect one time, this no longer can be used regardless of new medallions. This medallion is destroyed after it’s used. In addition, any extra pewter medallions owned by the same person will be destroyed along with it. (Passive) Since I believe I elims are the ones that chose where to place the medallions, I suspect that they chose at least a couple of their own team members to have this medallion. But I also believe that the elims would have thought of this, and given at least a couple other people Peter as well, to stop them from being the only ones. Either way, I suspect that most people who end up with an extra life are elims. Tin: You know all players who have a specific type of medallion. If done at night, this will inform you after medallions pass. (Day or Night) I think that the Elims wouldn't want this one to be passed out to non elims. But one person should have gotten this randomly. I reccommend doing it on steel or Pewter, try to catch some people who are trying for extra lives Zinc: You may change one person who has not voted to voting on a player of your choice. (Day) I could picture elims handing this out to everyone fairly equally Brass: You may disable one player’s vote for one cycle. (Day) Same with this one. Copper: You are immune to bronze, zinc, and brass. (Passive) Same with this one Bronze: You may find out the medallions one player uses that turn, including passive medallions. (Day or Night) This is a scan item again. Elims won't want to give out too many scan items D1, when they are trying to help themselves out. This Elims probably put few of these in place, or have them all with themselves. -------- I got bored of analyses of medallions so I will leave those there for now. Perhaps I'll come back later and do more. I'm not sure about F1, but when I used D1, I was referring to Day 1. D1, C1, or N1 will usually refer to day, cycle, or night 1. Didn't the Elims place the medallions? So they would already know where quite a few of them are. There are some that are placed randomly as well, so there are some that the Elims don't know about. So I think for the most part, medallion calling isn't a bad idea, as long as you stay quiet about powerful medallions. I don't think my medallions are very threatening to the Elims, so I feel decently safe sharing what i have.
  17. Dee dadean didnt dare delegate his duties. Last time his predecessor delegated duties, it undermined and destroyed his group's determinations, and the world changed. Dee decided to declare diligently his desire to do good. "There are dangerous individuals doing dirty deeds among us!" Dee declared. "I desire to determine who they are, and dismiss them from Elendel, and the surrounding demographic area, and the world if needed. In order to accommodate and aid those who will decide to do the good thing, I have decided to distribute knowledge of that which is in my custody. I have derived from my dad, and his dad before him, dos medallions(pardon my Spanish - thats two medallions), one contrived from nicrosil, the other from aluminum." Dee finished delivering his dispatch, and, deftly, returned to his delegated davenport --- Just checking in. I'm going to try to come back later and do a medallion analysis, as I believe it is more likely that some medallions would have been kept among the eliminator for the purposes of using D1 before anything happens to them
  18. This was a fun game, one in which I also was able to experience joy in trying to make sure that I was not using the fourth letter. I think I did pretty good, but I felt like I was a bit of a cheater because of the posts where I added stars in place of the letter, I feel like it would have been funner to keep going with my no D's theme, as it would have also given me a chance to redeem myself for those couple of cheat posts. I had some pretty good RP's in plan, what with my AA meetings, that I might have been attending alone, but alas, twas not to be. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed my death write up. Perhaps Fourth will have to return in a future game. Anyway, with regards to the game and mechanics, I really do think that the game was relatively evenly balanced, except, Bard, you seem to have forgotten who Alv's Gods of Luch and chance would favor in your attempt to balance the game. And I'm glad that I was able to break Elandera's curse of dying on their first cycle as an Elim, by sacrificing myself for them. Sorry we couldn't tie the lynch, Elan.
  19. Umm, that's tough to answer, but well see what I can do. Spoiler about the groups of people mentioned in kidpens original post Spoilers about the medallions mentioned in the OP Spoilers about the government and politics Lastly, if possible, could we have someone read over my spoilers before @FatherTiempo reads them, just to make sure that theres nothing too spoiler-ey in them. I think the first and third spoilers are safer to read, but I'm not sure about the second. (But I also tried to be more vague about that spoiler) Edit, also, like they mentioned, make your character, then RP based off of that character, not the role you were given. Last game I was RPing as a recovering druggie, who hated the letter D. So this game I'm RPing as Dee DaDean. I don't know his personality though.
  20. Also, for anyone paying attention, I have returned the Ds to my name, therefore, I am no longer Camium Compouner, but have returned to Cadmium Compounder. It was kind of necessary given mycharacter name of Dee Dadean
  21. I'll sign up as Dee Dadean But my activity level will probably he significantly lower this game. Not so low as inactive, but restricted to one or 2 posts per cycle.
  22. I know we've left the roadwalker lynch, but hear me out. From the info I've gotten, roadwalker previously was a player with experience, so they know how to stop a lynch against themselves. Now what better excuse than something along the lines of 'you won't kill a recently returning player on their first cycle back.' It just isn't sitting well with me.
