Thanks Straw for running this game! I had a ton of fun. I'm glad I had the time to step in for @BrightnessRadiant. Sorry, BR. I couldn't quite win it for you. I made some terrible decisions. @Rathmaskal, I'm disappointed in you. You should have let me live! And @Fifth Scholar, I'm disappointed in you too, for scanning me. I can't believe you didn't trust my claims! Overall, this was a very good game. Congrats to the village.

Congrats Drake. Now I at least know why people were adamantly defending you and promoting you for governor. I'm actually kind of glad someone was able to pull off that win-con. I am, however, disappointed it was a villager that ended up actively working against village to get there. Time for some thoughts, now that I'm at a computer and can type more easily what's likely going to be a wall of text. I apologize in advance. First, something that no one else has mentioned yet: QFs are difficult because of the short turns. It means, inevitably, there will be a chunk of people who can't participate in the discussion as well because of time zones. I feel this game was a drastic representation of that problem. People who weren't able to be on at the end of turn didn't have any say, really, on the outcome of the lynch. A lot of the people I noticed falling back in activity were in that group. It's a bit of a fatalistic view, knowing what they contribute early on won't matter much since they aren't on to argue their points in the last 2 hours, or in some cases, last 30 minutes (sorry Joe). The other part of that would be those of us who were able to be active dominated the discussion, and for a few turns, didn't make much of an effort to expand our focus or invite others to participate. I am sorry for that, and for tunneling so hard on Striker, et al. I didn't have the time to do analysis, and thus, kept going back to my gut reads that you were all corrupt. As someone pointed out, the mechanic regarding alignment reveals discouraged me from doing analysis when I did finally have the time. All I could go on was my gut reads, and hope I was right. One thing, in hindsight, that could have resolved that would have been to use a ledger on every person we lynched. It could have been thrown by elims using a ledger and lying about the scan result, but they'd have to at least use a ledger first, risking it going back into circulation. It would have been difficult to coordinate though. I started out with no boxings and a warrant. I kept using warrants and getting nothing, except when I finally stole the dagger from Snipexe. I was planning to buy a ledger from the store that night and start doing what I said I'd do: kill and scan people in the jail to know their real alignments. I'm disappointed I was jailed before I could go on my killing spree. Congrats to @Butt Ad Venture. First games as elims are always frightening, and even if you didn't have a high activity level, you were contributing more than some. As Bard said, you did a good job even with your teammates dying/getting jailed so quickly. Also, congrats to @RayOfSunshine, who, by sheer chance, murdered an elim on the first night. I know you got a lot of flack for that, but turns out it was for the good of the village. @Furamirionind, I didn't mean to ignore your suggestions. It's a bad habit of mine on SE to just not address ideas that I only slightly disagree with or have no opinion about. I'm glad you felt I was contributing though, because I didn't. Mostly, I felt like I was running myself into a brick wall over and over again, unable to get past my initial suspicions. It was frustrating. Thank you, Joe, for running this game. Though we all struggled at some point, it was still fun. You especially had a lot to deal with, between last-second vote changes and problematic spreasheets. Thanks for putting up with our shenanigans.

I'm not doing this. It's obligation my own choice. I've been hacked discovered. Help! Straw Ruin will Reign!

A web of lies, unraveled by a Seeker, a Coinshot, and persistent rabble. The tears in my skin are healing too slowly. Blood drips onto the cobbled ground as I face the crowd. Blue lines extend outward from me, designing the world that only Inquisitors have the pain of knowing. And what a wonderful pain it is. I came so close. So close to victory for the Lord Ruler. For that which drives all Inquisitors. It wasn't supposed to end this way. An Inquisitor, chosen by the Lord Ruler himself, should not be taken down so easily. I have a bigger mission. A purpose these skaa would never understand. I would destroy them with me. Except... I am too weak. Something is wrong. These skaa have found me. They have destroyed me. A laugh escapes my lips as the mob converges on me. Their ruin is nigh.
-
Nope. That definitely didn't happen. Bard is definitely still suspect. If only... Maybe the Lurcher had a change of heart and protected me.
-
I will. Doc12. Fifth. Now's your chance. You can have your wish of several cycles finally fulfilled. Just vote with me.
-
My vote is yes, let the Inquisitor live. Remember, cookies and stuff. Also, coinshot, no cookies for you.
-
Ah, yes. The whole "you should trust me because I'm on your side" thing. Yeah, I suppose I deserved the vote. The cookies will be spike free. Can't say the same for the cake. I struggled with those. I was perfectly content leaving my name out, but knew it would seem potentially suspicious if someone else noticed and I hadn't said anything. I tried by best to contribute as a villager. Even forgot I was the Inquisitor at one point.
-
I almost killed Snipexe the turn that I killed Burnt, but I was certain she was a Tineye or Seeker, and she was a bigger threat in the end, so I switched. Sorry about that, Burnt. Now it's a question of if the Lurcher will get lucky again and make my lack of luck will reign supreme.

... If I can actually hit a storming Misting. EDIT: Wrong 'verse. *Rusting Misting.
-
Of course you scanned me. A snapped claim was the last hope I had at people just ignoring me again. I should have claimed Unsnapped to you that night. I was plenty happy to let you keep tunneling on Doc and Devotary. @Doc12, I feel so betrayed. I defended you for so long... and you vote on me? If there are any coinshots, please don't hit Elandera tonight. I'll give you cookies?
-
@Fifth Scholar, you cursed me. I blame you for this. I'm a thug. Now. I was previously unsnapped. Fifth, the night I told you I was not a thug was the night I snapped. And of course, because RNG hates me, gave me thug.

It's admittedly not much, but more than I could find for pretty much anyone else. Your reaction to Rand being revealed was unusual. It would be bold for the Inquisitor, which is exactly the kind of thing you might actually do. Also, you've tended to be non-committal toward lynches. I can't say I've not done the same (I think everyone has at some point), but there was something about your statement when Doc was up for lynch that struck as off while I was doing analysis.
-
I think a lot of why my reads were so different was because I was stepping in a few days late and had a different perspective on earlier discussions, having not been involved. Some of it was also trying to contribute while still catching up. I can't really refute the first part. I'd probably lynch me if I weren't me for that reason without any other options. It's part of why I'm voting on Stink. As neutral as they've been, they've contributed more than some of my other suspects. As for BR, that's an unfortunate part about being a pinch hitter. I just know I'm not the Inquisitor, and I don't know why she was a suspect D1. As for Burnt, I had a PM going with her Stink isn't a safe mislynch in my mind. They had a few strange reactions that I found odd. Without any other suspects, it's my best lead.

Current vote count: Fifth (1) - Fura, Drake Rae (1) - Fifth We're not doing great with the whole "vote before the last two hours of the cycle" thing. I will try to do a quick analysis and see where I can vote from there. I'm not a big fan of lynching Fifth just because he's been busier than usual. And I've been reading Rae as generally village, though Fifth's analysis is making me think a bit more. There are also several people who aren't saying much (or anything), so commence the mass tag! @Araris Valerian(I think he's gone? Vacation or something?) @Butt Ad Venture, @Haelbarde, @Hemalurgic Headshot, @Rathmaskal, @Shqueeves, @Snipexe, @Young Bard Do any of you have thoughts on the game thus far? Have any of you used or have ledgers that can be used to give us a bit more direction?
-
It's possible, if it's not one of you and Sart, that they're content to let you keep suspecting the other for the Smoker claims. Not sure why they hit Burnt, though, with Lum's suggested claim.
-
I think I'd still prefer a scan on Snipexe than a lynch, but I'm down for a STINK lynch. He was one of my top suspects from my analysis.
-
That is true, but only one of the four of us had even placed a vote before the last 15-20 minutes of the game (Drake, whose vote was on Devotary). My initial thoughts were it would be highly improbable for one of our votes to have been bribed for no reason earlier, and since there were only the four of us online at the time (form what I remember on the currently viewing list), it would have been dangerous to bribe a vote off Bugsy without being caught. I'm not sure how I feel about this, because I feel it would be more likely to hit a lot of villagers. I wouldn't mind tied lynches if we can get some ledger scans going and find a few corrupt results.
-
Why does everyone try to rob me? I got another warrant, after having used my warrants (yes, plural; two people tried to rob me last time). I hope you enjoy your nothingness. @Devotary of Spontaneity, could you explain your reasoning for adding a fourth vote? I'm disappointed in Bugsy's flip, and now at a complete loss for further suspicions. Does someone have a ledger scan they'd like to share? I could really use some cleared/not cleared results for direction.
-
Alright. It's finally time for my long-promised analysis reprisal. D3 Fifth Convert!Rand Hael Snipexe Doc Stink N3 Doc D4 Vote Count/Order Hael Doc Araris Stink N4 Araris Suggests Fifth might be tunneling on Doc Bard Phew. That was a lot of formatting. Bleh. Current suspicion list: Elim Hael Bard Stink Neutral Snipexe Lumgol Shane Rath Sart Village Burnt Fifth Doc EDIT (Again, because I accidentally keep hitting the wrong buttons...) Even after reading through everything, I'm still not sure why everyone is suspicious of Doc. Also, has there been a reason (aside from being the only village on a later Rand read list) that we've suddenly cleared Bard?
-
Though I mentioned your scan, I completely forgot it had been a redirect when I wrote that part of my post. This is possible. It could have been a well-intentioned move from a villager hoping for an honest scan on the lynch target. I'm trying to stick to the principle of Occam's Razor for the rest of the game, though, so I avoid another unnecessary tunnel. This certainly wouldn't be the simplest answer. Thus, I rescind my suspicion of Devotary for now. We're about 30 minutes away, and still lacking a target with enough votes, barring vote manip, to lynch. Current targets are Fith, Devotary, and myself with one vote each. I think I'll vote on Rath for the possibility of inactive elims. I'm sorry, it's too late for me to do more.
-
Lynch vote count: Fifth (1) - Rae Araris (1) - Striker Devotary (1) - Drake I am relatively confident at the moment Fifth is village. His post counts have been low, and I'd expect him to dedicate a little more time to the game if he were elim. Plus some of his voting earlier on gave me a very village impression. As far as I remember, Striker's Araris vote was because Araris is going inactive anyway, and well, why not? I can't say I really have a stance either way on that lynch. It's not bad, but it's not our best option. This post is why I'm mildly suspicious of @Devotary of Spontaneity at the moment. If Fura is to be believed and Kidpen was an elim (which I'm comfortable in believing), I could easily believe some of those last votes on Kidpen were an attempt to increase the chance for an incorrect flip. While Devotary's reasoning is sound and very villagery (not wanting unnecessary deaths), that easily could have been a guise for worse intentions. I am no where near confident enough to vote there without doing more analysis, though. Especially since most of the other content I remember from her has been relatively villagery or neutral at worst. In the end, I'm really not sure what to do. I'm not confident enough to place a vote anywhere without it being almost entirely random, and I didn't get the time I had hoped for today to run an analysis. Editing this book is taking me far too long, and I really need to keep it my priority. Unfortunately, that means SE games have to take a hit. Governor vote count: Drake (3) - Striker, HH, Drake Elandera (2) - Rae, Elandera EDIT: Since no one else has posted, I'll edit this in: A quick analysis of a few people who've been sticking to the shadows this game. I'm not reading through everything, so there may be several mistakes. I apologise. Feel free to correct me. Rathmaskal - Has made three posts, the first being a check-in D2 and promise to catch up. The second post was an acknowledgement of inactivity and a vote on Alv. The third was a response to no read, saying they haven't posted enough. I might consider a lynch, if we have any suspicion elims might be inactive. Which, now that I think about it, it's quite possible. The lack of dagger kills has me wondering if the elims either don't have any, or are not around to kill. Shqueeves - Most of his posts have been in the vein of "no idea what's happening, it's all moving too quickly." I think it's a pretty accurate summation of this whole game, especially the last few hours of some turns. Their last post was a few turns ago, saying they wouldn't be on the next turn at all for RL. Snipexe - Did we ever get a scan on him? There was a question at the beginning of how he ended with the dagger that killed Burnt, and I can't remember at the moment how that was resolved. I might be willing to vote there, if nothing else comes up. Wait, skimming more helped me remember that it was Ray who stabbed Burnt, and I thought originally it might have been to pass the Alleyverse dagger to an Allyversian (?). Still worth looking into if he hasn't been scanned. HH - He had a few posts earlier on, with some substance regarding what was happening. Mostly NAI, though. Another one I might consider lynching if we think elims might be somewhat inactive. Bugsy - Probably the most suspicious of the lot. That post shows he's a bit suspicious of Gaea (possible distancing) and has a village lean on Alv fairly early. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I'm always reluctant to give Alv a village lean without some solid evidence. However, his next post was after the last constable lynch, where he votes on Alv for pushing against a Gaea lynch, so it could be distancing, or more likely, just village. He's still crazy for giving Alv a village lean...
