    Yep! You're in! With that, we have our 16 competitors! If you want to compete but could not get your name down, you can still sign up to be a filler in case someone drops out. And, like the last tournament, you can always sign up to be on the reserved list for Tournament 3. The competition will start in a week from today, as I won't be able to consistently keep up with the Shard next week. Thanks to all who signed up! I'm looking forward to this next tournament!

    THIS IS AMAZING. I needed this... Honestly, though– these jokes are so good that I just can't Handel them. Q: What's the difference between an accompanist and silence? A: You recognize the silence. Funny story: So I'm a pianist, and I accompany a lot of friends who sing. Once, I accompanied a friend during a performance. I literally learned the part to the song in ten minutes, and didn't mess up at all, so I was really proud of myself. After the show, a lady came up to us. She told my friend: "Oh my goodness, your voice is amazing. Your singing brought me to tears. I can't believe how talented you are." She turned to me. "You are so, so lucky to have such a talented friend." Generally, I rant to people and they're like "So? You're just the accompaniment." #SAVE THE ACCOMPANIST BECAUSE WE'RE AWESOME TOO I do sing, though, so I get that it's really satisfying to get complimented for your voice. Q: What's the difference between Kanye and a pianist? A: Kanye has a smaller ego. Q: Why was the singer always dizzy? A: They thought the world was revolving around them.

    Welcome, Inky! Have an upvote. You'll love the Way of Kings and the rest of the Stormlight Archive– it's a great series. So great to have you on the Shard!

    Welcome, @blackflame451! A recommendation for your next read– Stormlight Archive all the way. It's incredibly complicated, but personally, I love it.

    I agree with Ishar on these. You can’t make me choose a favorite, though, but I loved Secret History just because I missed Kelsier sooooo much. Edgedancer was awesome too, because Lift.

    That’s me with every single picture. I’m like “okay, I look good, you can take my picture,” and then I turn out looking like Anyway, I got my profile picture from taking a larger picture in the Stormlight Archive art and cutting out a small portion of it.

    YKYASF (or rather a 17S user) when you’re spending so much time on the Shard that a friend grabs your phone and chucks it across the room screaming “What are you always doing on the website?!?!?!” I was like “NOOOO give it back! I was RPing! My character has a bestie!” They said “whatever,” rolled their eyes, and turned away from me. As the thrilling conclusion to this story, I wrote my RP post.
