  1. Hey there Charles, great to have you aboard. I hope you enjoy the rest of the books as much as you did the Final Empire Joe
  2. Hello and welcome to this particular mad-house, enjoy yourself and be weary of some of the staff, they like spiking people when they're deeply engrossed in cleverly laid down theories... ...Not that being spiked is a bad thing... *cough* NO NO< thats my spike talking!!!
  3. I've read about 7 of the Pern books, and enjoyed them muchy, though I was into scifi back then rather than fantasy...
  4. iirc also TLR fudged the metals table up to make atium a 'base metal' didnt he?
  5. fantastic answers it seems the Survivor is still surviving lol
  6. A short for TV huh? epic!!! I think I'll have to reread TWoK with you XD lol
  7. Evening Mr Biotica free cookies indeed, you got me there lol don't worry about getting lost in some of the theories, most of the master theorisers have had lots and lots and lots practice. far too much, really lol. Joe
  8. I dunno about that, it wasn't that great a story either, and I came out of it without really caring much about the characters. I read it on Wednesday and it was a very standard story, no really juicy or original bits to it, its very obvious why it's being made into a film. I started the Dresden Files yesterday, half way through Fool Moon now >.> it's very reminiscent of Castle lol.... still, very enjoyable (I totally splurged and bought all 13 of them this morning XD) NB: I'm strangely down and a little cranky at the moment, so I hope my opinions are overly critical. :\ EDIT: damnation it Eric, now I've read 3 of them ....
  9. well the allomantic metal is aluminum... I also spelt one of the others wrong too somehow 0.o
  10. I spell color, and used aluminium all over the wiki >.> lol
  11. awww man, I was totes calling you wispy ¬.¬
  12. It'll still run out eventually. Especially if they start applying allomancy to industrial applications, and also the standard industrial revolution of their world will surely reduce the supply and increase demand (much like metal is getting more and more expensive here on Earth)
  13. I know that feeling LOL ... I'll try my best to take a full body, 3 dimensional, biometric quantum scan of his whole space-time entanglement for you all to analyse when I return
  14. The only issues I see are the assumptions that the other shards were 'weakened' (or even created their residences) like R&P on Scadrial. Interesting theories though.
  15. I think I'll have you on speed-dial for Wednesday's Manchester stop XD
  16. I don't know, but what else is inquisitor breeding for?
  17. I know someone who reached 50k over the weekend.... ¬.¬ he started in October sometime, and isn't doing NaNo but still XD
  18. Shardey
  19. Well I'd say they're probably thinking about doing some stabeystabey and then breading the inquisitor to make proper allomancers or something.
  20. Ruin isn't dead, both the shards actual shardy bits are with Sazed now. The guy called Ati, who was in the driving seat of Ruin, has perished, but none of the juicy bits have been lost. And I'm (we're?) fairly sure Odium hasn't been to Scadrial, or if he has, he was dissuaded by Harmony (Sazed), having 'twice as much' power as he has, or for whatever other reason. I like the idea that it's something to do with Ati's last works
  21. sure there wasnt any hidden meaning to it? You know, speaking in code or anything? Another congrats to you guys
  22. *pfft* small fry, wikipedia in da house!
  23. Deadly? They''ll kill you with their prose
  24. the passwords are most likely MD5 hashed, thinking back to how SMF (the forum software used by TWG) did it at least 5 years ago >.>
  25. It's particularly familiar, because the maps are signed Nazh. That's what I thought it was from. Also it seems to be an initialisation for 'Not all like that', referring to the 'moderate Christians' movement...
