The second Mist spirit is likely Ruin's physical aspect, like the Mist Spirit is Preservation's physical aspect. not like Atium or Lerasium but the part that can interact with people.

It would probably store the effects of the alcohol in the metal mind. You could also probably store the effects of other drug s such as methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana, caffeine, ect. This being because the active ingredients would probably be considered a part of the nutrition.

Where does Watson fit in to this?
-
If that is true would that mean you could be come a wind runner savant or an Aon-dor savant or a ferring savant.

burning atium in a minefield: a digression on atium mechanics
Tarontos replied to king of nowhere's topic in Mistborn
Pou would probably not see the explosions because from what I can tell you don't see your input into the world. -
large set of rule questions. would twin born be allowed, or would they be permitted to use only their alomantic or feurochemichal power? would you be allowed to have a steel alomancer on the ground team as fast movement? what would be the rules on contact ,no eye gouging ear biting ect.? how large would the stadium need to be to make it effective? how long would the games need to be? would there be a limit on the amount of metals an almoancer could have how about a ferochemsist and charge or would they have to start at zero and build up a charge from there? are sliders and pulsers alowed. what about chromium and nicrosil alomancers, how about a chromium ferring?

Because fooling the planet into thinking you have more mass would just make you weigh more not more massive it would have no effect on your ability to be an anchor. Vins abilities would not make it act like she weighed more she would just be able to apply more force from her pushes and pulls. thus throwing her around better and allowing her to accelerate faster. Not adding effective mass to her

I would think this would be the other way around like iron ferechemy wise. edit for formatting and clarity.

A bullet is roughly the same as using a coin, also you would be wasting your money buying bullets instead of coins if your just going to be a coin-shot with no gun. Bullets are ridiculously expensive for uncommon gun types such as Wax's custom made guns, assuming modern economics can be applied.

How quickly do you lose Stormlight? An inconsistency?
Tarontos replied to Havoc's topic in Stormlight Archive
I don't know about that. Also this fight has been heavily foreshadowed plus who could pass up the writing of such an awsome battle sequence. Kalladin could capture Szeth, or Brandon could kill off either of them (that would suck) And I don't know how you break up some one with a shard blade and some one as skilled as Kalladin Good points though but a shard blade is not infallible we have no knowledge of how a shard blade affects someone holding storm light(note that they can not cut Shard Plate the body could naturally have some level of resistance when infused with storm light) , also don't forget Kalladin has all sorts of tests to learn exactly what he can do. -
How quickly do you lose Stormlight? An inconsistency?
Tarontos replied to Havoc's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yes and no I was actually referring to both. I couldn't figure out how to phrase the question, this might be better lashings seem to work in planes, is this because walls are treated as singular objects or is the center of gravity just that far away? Also do the normal lashings pull you towards an object or does it just shift gravity? A part of the reason this question arose because of the reverse lashing actually, because they seem to attract to a cognitive whole(I'm assuming that a shield or bridge plank is a cognitive are cognitive identities but to be honest i get confused hear because shouldn't the bridge be seen as a cognitive whole instead of as individual planks unless it is possible to some how target parts of a cognitive whole or possibly have its own cognitive piece)? -

This fits. Szeth doesn't necessarily even want to fight, why would he look for better ways of killing? Also random question does any one know if lashing works in a plane or pointing towards a center of gravity as in normal gravity or if it possibly makes an entire object act as an attractant like how the thing that Shallan soul-casts into blood acts as one object. attracting towards the cognitive object.. -
The events of Elantris are far prior to the events of the StormLight Archive. Probably close to a millennium of difference. So it is unlikely that this is a reference to Szeth.

some where i think it said that the Terris people created metals from the excess power at the Well of Ascension. also supporting that the beads were there before.
-
awsome
-
It was only the shard blades nothing is ever said about shard plate being "Bad"
-
Maybe to be a splinter you must have some level of sentience or intent the God metals lack these to any degree we have seen. Also the god metals may just be a pressure valve meant to release excess power on Scadrial.

The issue with using an acid is that it is still used up in the reaction, The point of using a catalyst is that it is not actually a part of the reaction.
-
Sorry if this seems like necromancy but this seamed like the best place to put this and didn't seem to merit its own thread. As an anti blood maker weapon a catalyst that reacts with the human body, sweat, lipids, amino-acids or the like, that reacts quickly and violently could potentially kill a blood maker because catalysts are not used up in the reactions themselves. Requiring the blood maker to some how rinse off. This may even work on Miles if you can some how douse him in it for long enough because he will eventually run out of gold to burn and healing with in his metal minds.

I am fairly certain somewhere in HoA Marsh talks about the size of the spike mattering in hemurlogic decay. Some time around when he spikes Penrod. I don't have a copy but his explains why the spikes that Tensoon stores don't loose as much energy. Vins earing may only give her a slight edge and be cause she's already strong compared to other Mistborn it could just tip her over the edge

Running a Warbreaker/Mistborn crossover
Tarontos replied to Phantom Monstrosity's topic in Cosmere Discussion
You could say he is a half breed 1/2 Scadrian, 1/2 Nalthian or possibly a Nalthian who ended up with partial amnesia. 1/2 Scadrian, 1/2 Nalthian: This may lead to infertility if this is pre Hero Of Ages due to the changes the Lord Ruler put in to the populace, Depending on how much of a change He made. This could also lead to him being a slightly weaker awakener due to a slight dilution of breath and SDNA. SDNA could react violently at some point If lets say he snapped. -
Entering and exiting Shadesmar in interplanetary space
Tarontos replied to TheOneKEA's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Based off the theory of relatively short distances between planets and how the cognitive aspect defines a world. Would that mean that planets with out life would be impossible to reach via the cognitive realm. Or maybe even planets with out intelligent life. also would that mean the more heavily populated the planet is would that make the cognitive realm more stable. Edit: Because of the split in the population of Scadrial would there cognitive aspects be separate. Two parts possibly far away in Shadesmare terms. -
That makes more sense especially considering that the whole time you are being pulled forward in time.
-
Time travel is unlikely two people existing at once is an issue, but it also violates the law of conservation of energy. time travel forward is almost exactly like Duralumin and cadmium or just cadmium. Even Atium's shadows can be countered and only show likely paths not what will happen in the future. The shards don't appear to actually have a fourth dimensional existence or some way to flow through time. Any shard that noticed this would probably destroy any one who found out due to the potential danger.
