Dominant theory doesn't work if every one knows it.

And hence my inner Rithmatist's is aroused The only description we get of the Blad defense is "four disjointed ellipsoid segments"some precedent but not much. points The circles go over the said imaginary circle it is bound two. The lines of forbadence will allow you to become surrounded and unable to defend yourself on the sides. now if i assume those to be drawing marks for the student this defense is not anchored properly. the space between each set of bind circles is quite large and chalklings with long strings shall get distracted. are you implying that lines of vigor are out of date, witch they are not, Lines of revocation take longer to draw and slightly more difficult. Now i have a suggestion, use sixty degree sections of a nine pointer to put circles in the center of each ark. Also superfluous vocabulary is difficult to interpret, As Joel once said "Safe and Simple"

solids can be acids too they just aren't dynamic. and gases can too the reaction between bleach and ammonia produces acidic gases. not that you other points are not perfectly valid. Voidus I was under the impression that they could still effect the line of forbiddance with the field, otherwise a gun just couldn't go through.

additional theory: noting that all circles attached to bind points are only one thick, aside from the Taylor witch has two internal circle, i am going to theorize that having three circles like that is impossible, with out two additional main circles, also I theorize that the bind points would be on the center of the curves. noting corners are considered to be weak. edit this would be a ridiculous defense how do you defend your sides and back
-
The Blad defense is not featured in the illustrations but it is mentioned briefly at the end of the fifth chapter, when Joel is trying to get Fitch to take Him as a student/ward/thing. I was kind of disappointed by this, as it left me with out some useful information on conics and "four disjointed ellipsoid segments."

This just got pointed out to me on another thread but it really makes sense as to the reason ellipses and other non-circle conics as to the number of bind-points. so theory is about the vertices and how only the vertices can be used as bind points. this comes from the thought that ellipses vertices are on the vertices and any point on a circle can be a into a vertices. so this lends credit to the points at which a conic has bind-points, the vertices. Credited to Takeshi

I like this but i believe you are referring to the vertices of the ellipse, the foci are the center of a circle and the lines of nine-pointers do not cross the center, the vertices of a circle are any where. in an ellipse the foci are the points that lines are drawn between, while the vertices are the two farthest away points. Note: i am not at home and hence can not attach reference images they may becoming. as promised the image, http://www.weebly.com/uploads/1/4/9/0/14907026/8703525_orig.png To remember Hoid's speech about noteriety

So random thought I had while working on ellipses, they are stronger where the ellipse curves more than a circle and weak where they curve less than a circle, now noting this I realized that the curvature of a circle is relative,a circle can always have a tighter curve if it is drawn smaller. So based off this I have a theory that the larger a circle is the weaker it is. This being because of the larger a circle the less it curves. So smaller circles should be stronger based off of this reasoning. this continued to lead me to a further question. "What about Nebrask that has a massive circle and yet contains hoards of wild chalklings." Theories as to why the Circle of Nebrask is strong enough to contain a constant onslaught please.(assuming of course you agree with my theory.) otherwise thoughts and/or criticisms of the initial theory about circle strength. Also personal belief as to why this is never brought up, all of the circles we see are roughly the same size, Nebrask is faraway, and, evidently, "classified". Edit: additional thought the wider the ark the closer it is to a line of forbiddance this could theoretically give it some strength if the person got the intent right.

First I know i'm double posting but edits do not actually show up as a recent update, and i had a new thought to do with this. Five and eight point circles, so noting the initial post, that all of the circles are really nine-pointers. isosceles triangles, following the nine point format will have eight unique bind points. a right triangle, again using the nine point format has five unique bind points. Edit added reference images five point: http://rithmantics.weebly.com/uploads/1/4/9/0/14907026/3823222_orig.png eight point: http://rithmantics.weebly.com/uploads/1/4/9/0/14907026/9999704_orig.png

Triangle, I didn't think of this but it makes the theory fit better. Yeah the two point circle is hard to explain, I would assume that it is just the nature of the circle that makes the bind-points be on the Diameter. http://brandonsanderson.com/images/rithmatist/RITHMATIST_SPOTS_PartC_webres.jpg,this is a link to the page with the images this is for future reference, and is the complete images from the Rithmatist, http://brandonsanderson.com/book/The-Rithmatist/page/69/The-Rithmatist-Interior-Illustrations What i really wonder is how the ellipse fits in, why you cant have a four point ellipse, or so on.

the benefit of the conics sections is indeed negligible, but i doubt they would be useless, parabola trap, quick easy to draw, create an internal bind point with a bonded chalking, slaughter. Imagine your opponent sends forward a chalkling dragon rush, at you you have a single forward chalkling, given that they can't change orders after being released, you hastily draw a parabola funneling all of the chalklings forward toward your knight, this cuts off your knight but also gives it time to kill off a large amount of chalklings.
-
possibly not, a rithmantist could put a line of forbiddance in the back, granted the corners might be weak, and i am unsure of the strength of areas along the curve, ridiculous near the tips weak along the edges, bind points would probably be at the vertices.

Spoilers This theory is about the shapes of lines of Warding. First some conic theory for the uninitiated. A conic is a shape determined by cutting a plane through two cones that meat at the point, and bases are parallel. the shapes that can be made are a parabolas, hyperbolas , ellipses, and circles. The entire theory is that a line of warding can be made by using any conic.

Spoilers Basic theory is that every bind point set is represented by a Triangles. These are the reference images (note i made these images) http://www.weebly.com/uploads/1/4/9/0/14907026/1369915093.png 9 pointer http://rithmantics.weebly.com/uploads/1/4/9/0/14907026/6701685_orig.png 6 pointer http://rithmantics.weebly.com/uploads/1/4/9/0/14907026/4716856_orig.png 4 pointer Edit: An important assumption is that two point circles are just incomplete six or four pointed circles, Edit:Two point circles can be made by (0,180,0) triangles. credited to happyman First lets look at a four pointer, a square can be made by drawing a circle through any triangle, my example is a 45/45/90 because it is easy to find the circle. A six pointer can be made by using the altitudes of an equilateral triangle and the mid points. The nine pointer is were this theory comes from. the nine point definotion, which is , the nine point circle is drawn on an acute triangle, the points on the nine point circle are determined by three things, the mid point of each side, the intersection of the altitude of each side and the side, and the intersection of the resulting circle and the altitude. All of these circles an be made by placing them on a triangle and marking the bind points. This also explains why there are no five point, seven point or eight point circles. because the bind points can not be covered by any triangle. i assume that if you want a three point you can just make a six point using every other bind point.

the line is no longer straight and there for loses effectiveness as a line of forbidance.

Hero of Ages So yes a larger spike can hold a larger charge, but apparently the size is for intimidation,in inquisitors, not for Allomantic strength. if you want say some one with enough pewter Allomancy to bench two tons, your gonna need a large spike but a smaller spike will hold a full persons Hemurlogic charge. Edit: Didn't check the new post, but I found the quote.
-
The size only matters if the spike is not in a person. If the spike is outside of a person, it loses charge faster the smaller it is. Marsh says/thinks this when spiking Penrod.

Why Joel didn't become a Rithmatist (spoilers)
Tarontos replied to blackmagic3's topic in The Rithmatist
What do you mean Nalizar/ forgotten not choosing Joel for what, I'm afraid I am confused. -
Why Joel didn't become a Rithmatist (spoilers)
Tarontos replied to blackmagic3's topic in The Rithmatist
All based on the assumption that Shadow Blazes bind to a person to make them a rithmatist. I'm not convinced that this is the case, it feels to much like the Nahel bond, and this, disappointingly, is not in the Cosmere. or intent could be the same or similar to belief, it seemed like he intended to fail. he thinks something along the lines of " he already new the result ,it wouldn't work." -
Why Joel didn't become a Rithmatist (spoilers)
Tarontos replied to blackmagic3's topic in The Rithmatist
It seemed to me that Joel didn't believe he could do the rithmantic line and still does not believe he could make one. it could just be a matter of belief, but then if someone, Forgotten-Nalizar, could only really focus on rithmatists, he should still be able to tell, unless the first use of rithmantics fundamentally changes a person and this is what allows a forgotten to see the change. This based off the intent someone must have to actually use a rithmantic line. -
It would become diluted to maintain balance. you would have to calculate the morality of the active ingredient within the total stored liquid. Moles/Liters=Molarity then recalculate how much liquid you have drawn out then multiply by that Molarity*Liters=moles of alcohol then figure out you BAC then you would be able to figure out you "drunkeness" from dilution.

They hare half skaa, any pure skaa would not have enough potential to be Mistborn. Vin comes from a very strong line, and presumably the Venture line probably has a strong line too so that takes care of Zane. but who was Kelsiers dad is a mystery but also probably from one of the high noble houses.

If your trying to mimic the voice of some one on Scadrial you would talk with a French accent but I don't have the quote for that.
