  1. Wouldn't Adonalsium fit that role already, though? It could have guided the evolution of mankind on several planets separately.
  2. It was specifically stated in the prelude that the Herald's blades disappear when they die.
  3. Yes, I was agreeing with you.
  4. Oh yeah, I forgot that. True, since Brandon didn't say humanity originated on Yolen, even though that was the question. Brandon's good at those Aes Sedai responses.
  5. I believe Brandon has said to email him a picture of your receipt. I could be wrong on that one.
  6. Ha. I think there's WoB somewhere that says otherwise. I could be wrong though.
  7. I'm not sure, but I noticed the same discrepency between these two statements when I was reading your other thread. They also might have had space travel level technology.
  8. Not that you would want one of those things anywhere near any important organs!
  9. Here's a new question: Is Valhav a palindrome in Roshar? If so, how does that work? Is the h silent or does this combination represent a sound we don't have in English?
  10. This thread is a Kolossal waste of time. Perhaps we should Bind together to send it to the Void?
  11. Oh, a transliteralisation of some sound we don't really have?
  12. What do you mean by English pronunciation equivalent?
  13. Are we Dun with these puns yet? The pun spren are blocking my view.
  14. Canton you keep the noise down? I feel like my brain is Shattering!
  15. What about Valhav? Wouldn't that make lh a single character as well? That seems a bit odd because it becomes val-hav with syllables added in.
  16. Yeah, this stuff is much easier to pick up on a re-read rather than a first read, since you can look up stuff you're reading about online without worrying about finding spoilers as well. I think I already read the Misborn trilogy, Elantris, and Warbreaker before I became cosmere aware.
  17. Ooh, interesting. Thanks for the links.
  18. Is there another time Brandon talked about this condition besides this? Where can I find it?
  19. I view it thus: Body=physical Soul=cognitive Spirit=spiritual Body is obvious. Soul is more like your thoughts and emotions. I see spirit more as who you are (Identity, instincts, core beliefs) and what magics you can use.
  20. I believe it is an oddity for more reasons than that. For one, it's the only effective way we've seen to alter someone's sDNA. Forging might be able to do that too, but only if the stamp stays close to MaiPon or whatever the place is called. Also, forging is limited to only changing sDNA in a way that it's feasable to rewrite someone's history enough to do so. As for other end negative magics...I can't really think of anything that could qualify.
  21. Dalinar will die. Kaladin will not return to Hearthstone any time soon. If he does there will be no lame vengeance. Adolin will be Dalinar's replacement and will have all this angst about not being able to measure up. Renarin will be uber cool in his Plate. Shallan will not turn evil as people seem to think. She's a conflicted hero. She will be tempted to abandon her mission to save her family. Rysn will hook up with Axies after overcoming her prejudice shown in the interlude.
  22. So, going with the programming analogy: A Form is like a class - it contains the basic essence of what a stained glass window is: how it works, what it can do, what it looks like, etc. Using a soulstamp is like creating an instance of that class - you impose your ideas on how this stained glass window will look and behave, within the paramaters of what the Form allows. Something like that?
  23. Well, here's something I found:
  24. I would point out that Hoid (or whoever wrote The Letter) seems to have a particular prejudice against Rayse and Bavadin, so it could be that this prejudice has influinced his opinion regarding who is the most dangerous.
