Negation looked at Sagitta and Zura, and then looked at Truth, discussing something about going too far, having a hiccup with their power. “What did you do?” Price asked but his answer was already evident, coming in the form of an angry Zura, knife flashing in the air with such seething hostility it made Price wonder if for a second she had been keeping her feelings down this whole time, of her whole interaction with Price had been orchestrated. He stared at Negation. “What did you do?” As Sagitta stood he did too, nodding when she explained what they had been doing. “Then the gods came. I think they were the ones that made you forget.” He pointed to Truth and Negation, stepping back so he wasn’t so close to that glinting knife of Zura’s.

Truth. Price immediately stepped back. Truth was dangerous, if the legends about him knowing absolutely everything were true. But then again, out of everything Price had heard of the gods, the one aspect in which they hadn’t disappointed was their powers. Truth knew everything. He could read Price’s mind, know what Price would do next before even Price knew. Absolutely perfect to use as a Tühinine weapon, but how would they ever lure him in when he’d already see the plan coming? “How does the war stop?” He blurted out, looking to Truth. “You know everything, right? How does the war between Tühine and Cahaya come to an end? It has to at some point, doesn’t it?” @Lord Furret

“We’re not,” Alask said, taking a step and sitting where Aln had gestured. The man who’d asked him was an old, rough-and-tough type, at least to Alask’s quick scan of him. Investigating, he’d said. Alask thought about the possibility of having him join the Forge. “We’re here about their teachers,” he said, crossing his arms. “To help educate some large slum community.” Of course, bigger, long term (ambitious, the word echoed) goals didn’t need to be mentioned in the first statement either. @MetaTerminal

He is approved, and I’ll add him to the list now As for KanMien, the original totalling came to 185, but the weaknesses bring it down to 150 exactly I’ll add them both.

“Storming right we know how to use it,” Lusk muttered and stomped towards Mr. Itiah’s corpse. The party had been ruined, a high ranking GB was dead and a girl part of the group responsible was hissing at him. Lusk’s patience was wearing thin by the second. Standing over the corpse Lusk ripped out one of the spikes that had been used to impale him and began walking towards the girl. “Storming right we know how to use it, and I swear to Harmony, the Heralds, or whatever the colours you believe that I’ll spike you right here and now to prove it!” He slammed the spike on the stage next to her, creating reverberations. “Maybe if you tell us who you work for, we’ll start with the least painful parts first!”

Wes accepted the overalls gratefully and allowed the assistants to show him where to place the tracking nodes. Wes wasn’t too worried about them, just a quick look and he was able to tell they wouldn’t be too hard to modify or control if he wanted it. But overall they were very nice pieces of work. “Did you guys use a Nalthian circuit on this?” He asked. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen one configured to a tracker before.” The assistant just shrugged and Wes walked forward, towards the centre sort of area of the crater base. He wanted to put on his overalls... but his cloak. He couldn’t just leave his cloak here, could he? No, he couldn’t. What parts the overalls didn’t cover, the cloak would have to. Wes needed the cloak. He looked around for the leader or director he had heard about and — woah, she was floating in midair. Scratching his head Wes scuttled into view, trying and failing to not be intimidated by the casual display of power. “Um, excuse me?” He asked. “Can I wear this cloak over my overalls, bring it with me down there? I was just wondering, because, you know, I don’t want to disobey any rules you set or anything.” He paled a little at the thought and pointed at his tracking node. “This is really well built, though.” @ZincAboutIt

Price paused, bringing the back of his freehand to his forehead. Blissful ignorance or harsh truth? “I guess not,” he said quietly. He felt a little sick. No one would believe any story of this meeting if the gods didn’t come to the cities, but then again, from just one conversation it was clear they were nothing like what was believed of them. An announcer with the mass public would be catastrophic. “But,” he said quietly. “How will the world ever progress, if it’s kept in a lie like this? The truth may be painful in the start, maybe for many years, but we’d overcome it. Progress past it, and advance beyond these bounds and lies. Otherwise, how can society progress?” He was distracted by a rustle in the bushes and another man appearing. Quickly he brought the ledger down, snapped it shut. He looked to the gods and gestured to the man. “Is he... with you? Is he one of you?”

Rob nodded, standing up and walking to one of the outdoor hangers on which towel was draped. It was a spare towel, grey and spotted in design, and Rob grabbed it along with his own towel, which was plain white. Until Ashlyn’s mention of ‘freeze’ Rob hadn’t realised how cold he was either. Luckily, it didn’t seem it was too windy. “Here you are,” he said, giving her the towel and sitting back on the edge of the pool, draping his towel over his shoulders. “No guarantee you still won’t be cold though,” he joked.

Wow, all of these drawings are so good! Here’s mine, the thought process was that spikes give you power, so the word ‘power’ is made of spikes, and that this would fit. Obviously I didn’t know power was already a prompt , I guess I’ll think of something else when that day arrives .

Here’s a couple of my favourites “Doesn’t matter how good your bullets are if you don’t aim carefully,” “Getting hit’s not really that impressive. It doesn’t take much skill to get shot. It’s avoiding the bullets that’s tough.” “The mark of a great man is one who knows when to set aside the important things in order to achieve the vital ones.” “To be of use in a single burst of flame and sound is worth more than a lifetime of achieving nothing.”

As she looked towards the stars, Price looked glanced the ground, taking a small pebble in his hand. “I understand,” he said quietly, looking back to her. He remembered his family on nights such as these, making offerings to the gods. “My mother always used to tell me how before I was born, she’d prayed for a soldier son to Entropy, told me how fortunate they were to have me blessed with Entropy’s Instinct.” Of course, enthusiasm for Price’s inevitable military career dwindled as his health problems showed up, and outright nosedived as his father and sister were slaughtered by Cahayans, but that was besides the point. Had Entropy really heard any prayer, and granted him the Instinct? “Our whole lives, we’ve been giving the gods more credit than they deserve,” he said, rolling the pebble between his knuckles. “But what can we do? We can’t let the world live on in a lie, right? If we just let them leave, then no one will believe us. We’ll be the only ones that know the truth.”

That was fun, Rob thought and looked to Ashlyn. As she laughed Rob felt like doing the same, and he pulled himself up to the wet edge of the pool, looking down on her. His face softened and he restrained himself before it could advance to anything more. His father’s presence clouded him, like a ghoul creeping over his shoulder, whispering the same thing it had always whispered. Men don’t show emotions. Save that for the women. But, Rob had said, only a child. Sometimes the people on the TV laugh. What about them? Not real men. Robert, you’re too young to understand. The world has gone crazy. And it needs real men, from days of old. Stoic, silent, expressionless. None of these pansies that are so common now. Rob had just nodded, and like a sponge, absorbed his father’s teachings. He blinked, returning to the present and he looked back on Ashlyn, swirling his feet around in the water. “That was... fun.” He said. Then nodded. “Quite fun.”

Protecting. That was something Cheh could do. Lifting his hands up and aiming a few precise punches in the air Cheh surrounded the bow with a thick covering of rock, except for the part Failen held. That way, if the bow exploded, the rock would take most of the impact. Walking to the side he reached out his hand and touched Failen’s arm. Then extended his own hand for anyone who wanted to leave with the .- 502 replies

—~—~—~—~ ERA 4 ~—~—~—~— The gates creaked open slightly as Max entered the old training grounds that preceded the main Canton of Combat. The large building could be categorised into two main sections, to Max’s observance. The first was the old and flowing architecture that predated the Seven Year War. As one of the only places protected from the thermonuclear bombardment following shortly after the War, it was perhaps the only large building that had retained the architectural history that had come before. The second section could be seen extending from the top of the Canton into multiple added stories, as well as new additions to the training ground. Renovations, to make the Canton seem more open to newcomers. Besides, Max had thought it was time to get a little modern technology within the Canton walls anyhow. A man at the door saluted him and Max returned the gesture, walking towards the large pieces of training equipment and taking the weather-resistant coverings off of them, readying the equipment for any newcomers who wanted to try the old toys out. The Canton was open again.

non-canon Challenge of Champions! Wes vs. Deteca
I think I am here. replied to I think I am here.'s topic in The Alleyverse
“I mean the poor homeless,” Wes said and yelped as he was tackled to the side, just barely missing the gun. There as only thing to do now. The ultimate move, he’d seen in that movie about the group of thieves, where they were fighting the evil monster. “Ha!” He said, taking off one of his bendalloy bracers and trying to use it as a club to hit Deteca.- 83 replies

“True. Besides,” Alask stepped forward and raised a finger and looked towards Aln. “We don’t have to teach the whole slum district. Just a few heavily populated places here and there, and word-of-mouth will carry most things we teach across the streets. But yes, having everyone know what they can do to help, instead of a couple people, will help us rebuild the broken down areas, and even add more improvements, something we didn’t have the manpower for before.”

Wes shuffled, looking at the conglomeration of people that surrounded him here at the base of the crater. Getting down to the bade had been harder than he’d anticipated, and he had a few newly ripped holes and dust patches on his cloak to vouch for it. Still, the cloak was big enough it could still cover him completely, a protective barrier from other people, even if he had surpassed the underling rank. Idly he wondered how the assassination back in Oasis City was being handled. He’d just abandoned Mike and Seom, and the rest of the crew back there, and he felt spikes of guilt every time he thought back to when he’d ran away. Shaking his head he focused on the large dark hole in the ground, the entrance to the cave system he’d soon be exploring. It seemed to be the best escape from his problems for now, a break from Ghostblood stuff. And hopefully it would keep him too occupied to feel guilty. Walking over to the cave entrance Wes looked down it, dropped a small pebble to gauge how far down it descended.

“That was... smart,” Marcel said and entered into the house. It was of a moderate size, indicating someone of the upper-middle class standard of living. Reaching his hand to a light switch on the inside wall next to the door, circular lights lining the ceiling flickered on. Marcel walked into the centre of the living room, scanning the abode. Though there was plenty of space, most of it seemed to be divided into a small number of rooms. A kitchen, master bedroom, basement, living room, and bathroom. “Should we split up?” He asked, turning to the rest of the group.

Cheh stood around, looking worryingly at the sun and hoping whatever Failen, John and Alyssa were doing Would Ben enough to save them. Cheh didn’t know how to help, so he kept a close watch on the advancing fog, so no one got hurt.- 502 replies

Lusk kept silent, walking towards the girl. “Why did you say ‘one of your leaders’ is dead? If you are a Ghotbloods, he would be one of your leaders too, correct? Assuming of course, you are a real Ghostblood.” It had seemed a peculiarity impossible to ignore.

“Alask,” Alask said and smiled, entering the building. “We’re from the Forge. Pleasure to meet you.” He turned around and gave Lena one clear, curt nod. Her idea of splitting the nights was good. They would have to sort out logistics problems later. As of now, Alask was just happy he wasn’t collapsing on the ground snoring. That pill really had worked, but then again, for Lena he really shouldn’t have been surprised. “The Scholar’s Guild has always wanted to help spread knowledge, right? And what better person to spread knowledge to than the uneducated? Fortunately, the slum neighbourhood around the Forge are the pinnacle of uneducated. Underfunded, and not equipped with any information on how to fix issues that regular. We try to help, and succeed in most cases, but a populace that can help themselves is in the end a stronger and long lasting one.” He smiled. “You speak too much.” Shut up.
