  1. The powers all sounded nice. I stood up straighter as the powers of enhanced everything flew through me. But there was one thing that bothered me, though. “Wait... so if I was really good at having existential crises as a human, then...” I paused, and the super existential dread began to set in. “Ohhh, no.”
  2. “Vampires can’t fly?” I asked, dismayed, and suddenly fell to the ground with a thud. “Ow,” I said, standing up and rubbing my head. I was still sparkling. “So, what powers do they have? I really need to check the wiki...”
  3. At the pause in conversation Price heard some very light rustling. Tilting his head to the side to hear it better, he was relieved to hear it wasn’t the steady shaking of leaves that indicated another Forestlynx. Maybe a small animal, at most. Price looked back at Zura and Sagitta.
  4. Thank you all! Haha, this is definitely a more positive reaction than I was expecting
  5. “Great,” Itiah says and continues hovering and staring at his enemies. “Full disclosure: I’ve never read twilight. But this should be fun anyway.” As he steps out of shadow and into the light, his skin begins to go all sparkly.
  6. Cheh nodded, listened to their words. It was reassuring to know they believed in him, and Failen’s words were certainly interesting to reflect on. Maybe Cheh hadn’t been bending metal because he hadn’t thought he could? But even when he had, he’d failed. He still wasn’t sure he’d ever be more than just a farm boy, but Jessy’s assurance he’d be able to control metal eventually helped him. “I wonder how our magics interact,” Cheh said. “Like, Failen, if I earthbended, could you make that earth glow? We could use them as super portable lamps at night time, without the risk of smoke or starting a fire.”

  8. Price nodded, looking at his hands. Hands that could use Entropy. But why? Why was the most useful battlefield skill given to him and not some soldier? “I wonder why each person has their instinct. Random? Or maybe, for a purpose? It seems the gods would have a plan if they were to give us all one power or another. Maybe it’s all in the long-term, too long-term for us to comprehend.”
  9. “There’s the mobster,” Marcel said, and waved back at Quinn. “So, you’re joining us?” He asked. “I should warn you, this little investigation of ours might take all night. No guarantee you’ll have enough time for whatever tasks you like to do for your gang.”
  10. “Uh...” Alask moved to decline the offer, but his growling stomach quelled any objections he had. Fortunately Shez didn’t require food, or Alask would have to eat double all portions, something he seriously didn’t have the energy for nowadays. “Sure. Do you guys have toast, maybe?” Toast was good. Alask had found no matter how seedy a place, it was almost impossible to mess up toast. So toast would do. A server in an outfit that made Alask’s cheeks tinge red turned to him. “Your friend over there bought two weapons of your choice for you. If you tell me what you want I'll go get it for you." Ripping his eyes away from the server he glanced at Lena for a second before looking back to his coffee. Lena had bought weapons for him? What weapons would Alask even require, when he had Shez to handle most problems. Still... something non-lethal would be nice. Just in case Alask didn’t want to kill anybody. “Do you have a taser?” He asked. Good choice, tasers didn’t shed blood. “One of those ones that can be fired outwards. And uh... a baton?” Alask was too realise the irony of a thief asking for traditional police weapons so he just smiled and looked at the waitress, keeping his eyes from looking below her face. @Oduim's Chmapion
  11. The crowd was... oddly silent. The honest truth was no one was really expecting a duel like this, no one had known Wes or Deteca for fighting. Little did they know they were in a non-canon thread, so they had to be within the arena. Wes gulped. Such a big crowd... why had he even agreed to a duel anyway? He waved to his opponent.
  12. Itiah floated beside Ene, hovering in midair. He seemed to be as surprised about it as the bystanders watching. “So, do we have powers or no?” He asked.
  13. The story was... nice, Price decided. It was unconventional for him, no black and white characters, except maybe Sensation, but Sensation was a god. Price was sure no matter where they were, all the gods were good hearted and kind. That was, if they even existed. Looking up to the stars as no doubt most children did when they heard the story, Price wondered what his ancestors would think of him. What would his father, his sister think of him? He listened Zura about belief. “Most people say the same thing about the gods,” he said. “Why they don’t do more for people. But... people still believe in them.”
  14. I think now we tag the one and only @Paranoid King
  15. Right, so it seems we need two more Scadrians if we want to make this even
  16. “Exactly,” Lusk said. He saw Walker look towards him and Lusk smiled and waved. They looked happy, the couple. That was good, what really mattered in a relationship. Not that Lusk has any frame of reference. “Frame it however you want, but violence is useful. As long as you don’t go all misty-eyed mid-fight, it’s a valuable tool I wouldn’t risk not knowing.” He paused. “I do agree about the duels, though. I actually tried to shut Walker and I’s down, in the middle of it. Didn’t go so well.” His hand subconsciously drifted to his midriff and he cringed realising that if she took up he’s advice to watch the duel she’d see how he’d gotten his liver injury in the first place.
  17. Wes smiled at the reply. The polished square confirmed his suspicion that she couldn’t talk, but the fact that she wanted to communicate with him anyway made him happy. Beyond Mike and the other Guns N’ Ninjas, Wes didn’t really have many friends, and what better way to make some than here? He was so excited he didn’t even have time to be amazed at her writing on two different surfaces at the same time. “I’m not really needed much in the Ghostbloods now,” he whispered to her. “And the thought of a new project, exploring, attracted me. Though,” his eyes wandered to Althea for a moment. “I really wasn’t expecting someone else to be here, you know? Now I’m just nervous.”
  18. From the album: Semi-Cool Cosmere Art

My first time doing art This is Kaladin flying in the middle of the Everstorm, it started when I threw around some colours and thought (huh, that looks like the Everstorm) and then just sort of continued from there. Enjoy, I guess
  19. “Seems odd to have two titles,” I interjected, dressed in an lawyer outfit, the Ace Attorney soundtrack following me as I walked to the centre of the courtroom. “He’s called ‘Narrator’ as well as ‘Master’ and the two titles are meshed together?” I took off my glasses. “We may not have found Apollyon’s murderer, but I’ve found a suspect. Why, this Narrator has already butchered the English alphabet! Why wouldn’t he do the same to a human?”
  20. “No, not a fairy,” Marcel said and the corner of his mouth quirked up in a smile. He remained silent as they discussed a team name, thinking of her words. She wouldn’t tell anyone, that was good, and he trusted her, for someone he’d met only this night. The bus came to a stop and he stood up, stepping out of the doors. “Thanks,” he said to the driver. “No worries, dude.” He looked to the whole group. “Just remember kids - stick it to The Man!” “O..kay,” Marcel said and turned to the others. Some people were odd, he’d found. England was an interesting and fascinating place, especially at a time like this. Even though he’d been staying here for quite some time, some things still never ceased to fascinate him. @Wyndlerunner @Hope Spren @Sorana @Dr. Dapper
  21. “Ha, thanks,” he said and smiled. “But you should see some of the other earthbenders we have where I come from if you want to see impressive. The Metalbending police, the Dai Li, the Avatar herself...” his eyes turned dreamy, and then he snapped out of the thought when John addressed him. There was some sort of thought-speak that was happening? How interesting. “I will definitely let you know if I need help,” he said to Failen. “So far, I metalbended once, while we were about to crash, but I haven’t been able to do it again since then.” He shrugged. “Maybe it was a fluke.” He looked at John. “And that thought-speak you guys have is cool. Like super long-distance radios?”
  22. “Lucky,” Lusk said, masking his surprise at seeing the Atium Ferring again. Freedom. How long ago had it been since their last lesson? Six months? His eyes remained on Walker as he spoke. “The only time I managed to bring this groom near to tears was in the duel we had, and I am not too keen on starting another one of those in my current state.” As he spoke about the duel he perked up. “Have you seen tapes of that duel, by the way? It might provide insight into better combat strategies with Atium. And no, I don’t suggest watching it becuase I’m narcisstic.” He grinned tiredly and glanced at Freedom. “Though I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t part of it.”
  23. “Good. Busy. Lots of work,” Alask and said sipped at the first cup of coffee, the world almost becoming brighter. He eyed the server’s apron. Kiss The Cook. No, thank you, he told himself and looked back at up at the man behind the bar top. “How about you? Business going smoothly?”
