Max nodded. It felt good to fight with him by his side again. Sethramir and Akeron flashed in the air. Myriad was surrounded by smoke, so Max saw that he was distracted and turned to Seb and Althea. “We need to take down Seb,” he said, gesturing to Althea. She was on her knees, and bleeding. Running he Rioted both Devaan and Althea, to feel alert and ready for an attack. He ran towards Seb and ducked low with his leg outstretched and Sethramir our to try and take out his legs, implying that Devaan went high.

Sam nodded, a bit disappointed. Metal lines hadn’t shown too much rapid movement either, so he definitely hadn’t bolted off as soon as he’d seen them. “He must be in that Ghostblood gang then,” he said, turning to Pell. Pell nodded tiredly, black circles around his eyes looking more pronounced than before. Knife-eyes didn’t seem completely convinced. Sam sighed. Once, they’d searched a whole mansion for a Worldhopper because Knife-eyes Jones had ‘had a feeling’. They’d turned up with nothing but a few pieces of silverware Sam nicked. “That’s really a shame,” Jones said, mimicking sadness. “Do you think maybe we could stay, look around for a bit?” Hegestured around to warehouse. “Is most of your gang here, in this area?” He asked.
-
“No one’s ever said it’s cool before,” Lusk said and then frowned. Just a few years older and he wouldn’t have had the self pity. He’d have kept the thought to himself. “And it does change how you think a bit. And some cases a bit more than a bit. But you can fight against it so no biggie.”
-
“I like this guy,” Sam said and waved. “Hey Mike. I’m Sam and this is -” “I’m Carl,” Knife-eyes said. While they all ha a Roughs accent, his had a little bit of Elendel city boy mixed in. He inspected the boy, and he began to fake being worried, and anxious. “Actually Mike, I was just really worried about my friend. He’s been mingling with gangs and the like, you know?” The other two took his cue and began acting worried as well. “We just really want him to be safe,” Pell said in a soft voice. “And to see him with a gang,” he suddenly pretended his voice broke out of the emotion and Sam covered his mouth and tried not to laugh. He knew he’d never let Pell forget this. “His name’s Red,” he said when he regained his composure. “He ran away from home so he could mingle with you guys, and he doesn’t want to return.”
-
Lusk turned his head to the lady. She seemed to know the Atium Ferring. The other Atium Ferring. The thought still surprised him. “Yes,” he said, tapping more and shrinking to a teenager. His arms went thin, his face became younger and his hair became black again. Suddenly the clothes were a bit big. He crossed his arms. “To pretty much any age. Why?”
-
“That would be great,” Redatrick said. “Be careful. They might be as confused about this place as I am, but they’re smart. So try not to die.”
-
Red turned his back to the men, he didn’t want to take any chances. He nodded and casually brought his hand down to his shotgun hiding just beneath the robes. *** “You see him?” Knife-eyes Jones asked, looking around the warehouse. It looked a lot like the Worldhunter hideout. “No,” Shaker Sam said. He’d gotten his name from his power: Lurching. Burning a bit of iron, metal lines sprung around him. “No peices of metal hiding anywhere. Knowing Red, he won’t go anywhere without his bloody shotgun. Which makes him findable.” Pell chuckled and rubbed his eyes. “I remember when he first got that gun. Happy as a kid, he was.” Pell rarely spoke, but he piped in to share the memory. “I rustin’ hated that gun,” Knife-eyes said in a joking way. “He finally beat me in a target competion. Bastard wouldn’t stop rubbing it in.” He smiled. “Pretty sure you were just rubbish at guns,” Sam said with a grin and they all laughed, then suddenly went silent. It wasn’t an easy feeling, killing your friend. They’d all shared memories together, they’d all been buddies. But, they all knew their duty. Their duty to the Worldhunters. Duty to their friend. “It’s a mercy,” Knife-eyes said, reading their minds. He sighed. “Now, get back to searching.”
-
Lusk nodded. He’d used it for that too. Except he’d actually gotten drunk. “Have you ever thought about... using it for combat?”
-
Lusk smiled slightly. “Fortunately, being a Council Member gives me just enough Atium to fund these wasteful habits.” He saw her store away age to be older. That was the thing with Atium. You didn’t appear older or look older. You were older. With all of the pros and cons. “What do you use it for?” He said, taking another sip of his drink.
-
“I know,” Lusk said, still surprised. He let go of his Atium tapping for a second and went to his normal old age. Suddenly the large drink in front of him didn’t look so appetising. “The only other one I’ve met is you. Ever.” He tapped again and went back to his thirties.
-
“No,” Lusk said. “How many others have you met?”
-
Redatrick looked at Bella and then at Mike shaking his head. “Ok,” he said to Mike. “Maybe I’ll need more of a disguising look next time. Maybe change the hat for —” He stopped in his tracks as three people entered the warehouse, way from the opposite side, however. He could recognise then immediately from their looks. Pell, Sam, and Knife-eyes. They probably couldn’t recognise him from such a distance because he was wearing a disguise but he was sure it wouldn’t hold if they got any closer. “I need to go,” he said to both Mike and Bella. “They’re here. I really have to go.”
-
Lusk saw the woman tap the other one’s shoulder, and change to a kid again. It was too solid of a change to be an illusion, it had to be something else. He was so surprised he hadn’t said anything for a couple minutes. Now he could understand why she didn’t have alcohol. “You’re... an Atium Ferring?” He asked. Fourty-six years of life, countless searches to the Ghostblood database with a Council Member’s level of clearance, and not once had he seen someone else, like him.

As the helmet dissipated to lemon juice Max new he had his window of time. He had to act, before Sebastian would get another helmet up. Focusing he looked upwards at Seb’s unconvered face and felt for one of his smaller metalminds, the ring he’d been given as a gift. He supertapped it, directed everything at Seb in one flash of incredible emotion. He Rioted docility, sadness, calmness. He forced the emotion, as much as he good and directed the flood of power to Solace’s briefly uncovered head. Good job, he said over the link. He looked to Devaan fighting another man, and in a couple seconds used their rudimentary hand gesture system to sign something to Devaan. The master was occupied and Max was a bit rusty at using the system, but it was worth a try. He repeated it three times. //Take off. His helm. I’ll Riot.//

Does the Nahel bond go both ways for all magic?
I think I am here. replied to Oltux72's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think the abilities of the spren are already there. For example, windspren and honourspren already are known for tricks and sticking things to each other - a use of the adhesion surge. I think by Bonding with someone, the spren basically grants this ability of theirs onto the human, so now the human can use adhesion as well. We don’t see Syl ever using gravitation, so maybe it’s only the primary surge the spren have. But I don’t think they get powers out of the relationship, because they’re already getting something (sentience). -
Neutral ideas for what I want from the next book(s)

All the Heralds having a little insane reunion, where they realise Jez is gone. -
I'm exhausted. And I have no real idea how to behave in such a fight. Max lunged forward, then quickly stepped to the side and dragged his sword in a line beside him, cutting the threads. He looked to an underling watching the battle. “Get me some meekers!” He shouted. As someone who could enhance their Rioting, he didn’t need anyone else to use meeker bombs, he could fire them himself. That’s okay, Max said. See if you can soulcast the helmet off. He ran forward, tried tossing Sethramir at Seb’s legs as he tried punching the torso.
-
“Me?” Redatrick asked. “I also wanted to join, my name is... Ryndwyl.”
-
Why would you pink all compounders? I’m pretty sure compounders have complimentary abilities
-
I can make the case some of them would be pretty useful. F-Nicrosil/A-Tin: Pretty much a tinmind where you don’t have to store individual attributes in separate metals. Also, super enhanced senses are useful. F-Nicrosil/A-Bronze: Enhanced Seeking is super useful. You could pierce copperclouds, and Seek from a massive distance away. F-Nicrosil/A-Bendalloy: You can slow down time, but with Nicrosil even further. So even faster things (such an explosion) could be completely stopped. Even things like other fast people, trains etc. F-Nicrosil/A-Cadmium: Enhanced Cadmium in one supertap could pretty much send you many years into the future. Not combat useful though. F-Nicrosil/A-Chromium: Enhanced Leeching. That means you could Leech far more than normal, which means way more Investiture, Shardplate, Blade. F-Nicrosil/A-Nicroburst: On the other side, enhanced nicroburst would allow you to Nicroburst so,some far behind normal, giving them a huge multiplier on an already boosted power. Plus, compounding. So if they ever get something like a medallion, they could store that power, and compound till they have an infinite stock of that power.

It’s good. If you ever wanted to remake it I’d suggest with a ruler. But your Nicrosil Feruchemy line definitely needs more greens. Nicrosil Feruchemy is pretty much a super enhancer for any Allomantic abilities, because you have the no-upper-limit benefit of Feruchemy added to Allomancy.

The three men followed.
-
“That’d be good,” he said. “It mustn’t be far then.” The other two men nodded.
-
“Bloodflame?” The young man whispered to Pell. “Someone’s trying to be scary.” Somebody walked up to them and offered to take them to the hideout. Which was lucky, to say the least. True lucky. Not even the kind of manipulated luck Jarret used with his Feruchemy. Neither the young man nor Pell spoke, so the older man who seemed maybe five years their elder stepped in. “Thanks,” he said. His gaze was piercing, observant. They said Knife-eyes Jones could detect any lie. “We were looking for a friend of ours who might have joined. Red?”

I like the time slippage idea as a limit. But what’s stopping us from adding large locations in the Alleyverse where time slippage occurs, than making new universes? If we added some more locations in the same universe, but gave it that same limit (that time slippage occurs) as a limit for movement, wouldn’t that have the same effect?
