  1. Tish frowned. More people were there than she expected. "Will it be dangerous? Also, uh, what kind of 'time slippage'?"
  2. .... .......... Fine. Signup as as Snapizar.
  3. Just came back from the state junior high band (or maybe just music cause there was an orchestra) festival. We came away with a Superior With Distinction, which is the highest rating you can get!
  4. I'm very tempted to go through each of these and respond to them, but I'm just gonna go for this one at least for now. I think if you define magic as something that doesnt really make sense given the lack of real backstory, you're right. I would argue that magic is more often defined as a specific and fantastical aspect of the fictional world that doesn't exist in ours, which Brandon's systems definitely are.
  5. Random comment, but I'm feeling super hyped for this right now.
  6. I see not everything she does is stupid.
  7. Heh.
  8. Soon it was realized this scene must be drawn.
  9. I'd like to know if this is reasonable to be pulled off. If it doesn't seem like it, Crimsn is probably our best bet to find a Spamster. Otherwise, I'll vote on Seventh Saint, as the logic of confirming his claim generally makes sense to me in the absence of another option. Working on it.
  10. Alright. In an attempt to finally actually contribute to the game, I'm going to put a vote on to Cadmium Compounder because of this post: This just doesn't sit right with me. I'm assuming that Crimsn was who the attacker was going to attack, and I find it odd that he trusts the attackers judgement that much. I don't think there's any real reason to be suspicious just because somebody survived an attack, especially considering that none of the spamsters get an extra life. I'd say that some other village role most likely interfered with it. If it is a role that Crimsn has, that seems to me like it makes him more village rather than less. I wouldn't be surprised if CadCom comes back with more explanation that makes me change my vote, but this is where I'm putting it for the moment.
  11. Everyone agreed it was the worst ship ever created.
  12. Tish walked up to the tower, nervously looking down at the notice that had brought her here. Maybe this was a bad idea. She wanted to be able to get away from the complications and memories that the Alleyverse had, but now that she was looking closer at the poster, she wasn't sure she had all that much to offer to an expedition. Pretty much the only skills she had were those she had gained in her village, like some slight metallurgy. And what she had learned since joining the Alleyverse was more useful, but still not anything special. Lost in thought, she didn't notice she was nearing the tower until she almost bumped into the man at the door. "Oh, um, hi. I'm here for the expedition, is this the right place?"
  13. Alright, finally getting around to posting my thoughts. First of all, congrats to the elims! Although they may have had an advantage with how many of them there were, I think they played very well. I think that this was generally a good concept for a game, although the execution definitely could've been better if I'd been more experienced. I'll probably rerun this sometime down the line, but definitely not for a while. On the subject of specific medallions that could've been different, I don't think 5 minutes was long enough for cadmium. I think it could've hypothetically affected the game significantly, but first of all you can't see how much it will until very very late in the cycle, and second of all it barely affected anything. Maximum would've been 30 minutes, and I don't think that's a realistic time frame for changing things significantly very often, especially since there might not necessarily be 6 of them at any given moment and they might not all be used. Other than that I don't think there were any very significant changes I would have made, other than handling iron differently than I did in practice during rollover (I basically just gave everyone medallions normally and then would have moved one if they ended up with none, which didn't really fit with what it probably should've been.) On a more specific note, I was not a particularly good GM this game. I pretty consistently was getting rollover up very late. I will say in my defense that this was a pretty hard game to run (not that I have any frame of reference for that statement), but that's not really an excuse, considering I didn't even try to find a co-GM. Plus there's the fact that I made a very significant amount of mistakes. I don't think any of them were too bad, but in total they definitely weren't good. I think I should be better about keeping my spreadsheet clean and being more careful in the future. Also of course there's the fact that at the very beginning I decided to go with 5 elims instead of 4 for no good reason. Honestly, this was very stressful, but also incredibly fun. Thanks to all of you for being wonderful and supportive about the many issues I had throughout the game. I look forward to running more games but only because I'm a masochist.
