  1. "Thanks." Jamie responded, smile widening, "So are we going to go or what?"
  2. Jamie shrugged "There are scholars that could explain this much better than me but I'll try. I can use the metal pewter to make myself stronger. If I swallow some pewter, I can then burn it. The metal dissappears when I burn it, but I carry a quite a bit of it. It's called burning because it feels like you've swallowed a hot drink, without yor mouth burning, of course." she smiled at Cassie, "Cassie. That's a good name. It fits you."
  3. "No. I'm a Twinborn. I can burn pewter to make myself stronger and..." she cut off, "I'd have to explain a lot of stuff to you if you want to understand my other power." Jamie looked at her companion. She really was very pretty. Rusts and Ruin. It's too soon you idiot. "Did you give me your name?"
  4. Jamie was still totally confused. "No... what is Stormlight?"
  5. Have you been watching JoJo?
  6. Jamie followed the girl's gaze, regarding the guy coming towards them. "Who's that? You know him?" she squinted, "Wait. Is he glowing too?"
  7. Jamie was out of her element. Sure, she could bash street thugs' heads in, and go toe to toe with a Koloss, but she had no idea what was going on right now. "Rusts. What Order am I? I have no clue what that's supposed to mean. I'm a Twinborn and my name's Jamie."
  8. Doc glanced around the baggage claim suspiciously. He had heard his name from somewhere nearby. As he scanned the crowd waiting for their bags to come through, he noticed someone familiar. It was that new Windrunner. What had his name been, again? Something unique, starting with a D. "What are you doing here?" he said, then paused, the name finally coming to him, "What is it Draug?" ~~ "Huh. So you are the knights I came looking for." Jamie shrugged, "Weird that I found you without ever having to use luck."
  9. Jamie took a step back, mind racing. She stoked her pewter, preparing for a fight when a second person walked up. She was around Jamie's age, with dark hair and features reminiscent of the glowing man's. Perhaps they were related. "Listen, we don't want to hurt you, but we've got people to protect." she paused, "Do you know what Investiture is?" "Listen," Jamie said, "I don't know who you are but" she cut off, the girl's statement registering, "Investiture? Like Allomancy? Yes, I definitely now what that is." her face broke into a grin, "I know what that is."
  10. Who wants to know? The words 'Code of Conduct" make me think of morals...
  11. Oh there you are Perry Ene.
  12. "Depends on how much your previous employers were paying. Now, we obviously won't be looking for any loyalty from a contracter, but we'll pay you one and a half times your old emlployer's price. That half will go to paying down what you owe to Trident for your ship. After you pay that off, you get your full pay."
  13. Do you accept trades? Cause I'd like to trade 40 tons of aluminum foil for a Shardblade. I'll also take 60 atium spikes.
  14. Doc pressed the button again, staring at the tiny map. "It's her," he said, pointing at the redhead. He sucked in a tiny bit of Stormlight and moved to cut her off before she got through the doors. ~~~ Jamie was so distracted that she didn't notice the man blocking the doors until she was nearly on top of him. She stopped abruptly, glaring at the man, who was about her hight. "If you don't mind getting out of my-" she cut off. The man was glowing, whisps of light trailing off his body. "What the-" "Who, or what are you?" the man said coldly, cutting her off. ~~~ Doc nearly got run over by the redheaded mystery, but he held his ground. After listening to her mutter a few things, he decided to confront her. "Who, or what are you?" he asked, alive with Stormlight.
  15. Hum. You are aware this takes place on Earth, right? Random thing: how caught up are you in Part 5?
  16. Salt Lake City.
  17. We should all meet up at FanX 2020 or something. I might be able to convince my dad to go.
  18. Doc nodded to Cassie, fiddling with the device as they walked through the parking garage. A map of the airport popped up on the small screen. He pressed the pulse button and nothing happened. He frowned for a second, then rolled his eyes and replaced the dun gemstone with a glowing one. The gemstone flashed and a dot appeared on the map. "Ah. Our mystery is still here. Heading down concorse B, by the looks of it. Let's head for the baggage claim. We might be able to cut them off there, as it's the only exit." ~~~ Jamie skirted nimbly around a family with large rolling suitcases and narrowly missed being run over by two men in business suits. She was good at moving through crowds, especially ones consisting of tourists. She lived in downtown DC, where most of the tourists congregated. She continued to dance through the crowds, heading for the exit to the baggage claim.
  19. Dapper nodded to Narrator Dapper, who had just come in. The two had a similar look to them, but Barkeep Dapper had a more jolly look about him. His sideburns were untrimmed, and while he was tall, he was also heavyset, having a bit more fat than muscle. His tophat leaned jauntily to the side as he poured a drink. Narrator Dapper on the other hand... He looked as if he could bench press a road roller without breaking a sweat. His sideburns were so neat you could use them as a straightedge and his tophat sat neatly on his head. "Ah." Narrator Dapper said, "I'll have the drink with the largest content of alcohol." Barkeep Dapper nodded, hand Narrator Dapper the bottle of white. Natrrator Dapper took a swig, then handed it back to Barkeep Dapper, who did the same. The two continued to pass the bottle back and forth in companionable silence.
