Aben looked around, trying to get his bearins. It was hard, with this mist. "So where to?" he asked the others,"Back to the soothing parlor?"

Aben stayed quiet, sword drawn. His pipe trailed smoke, which mixed with the mists. Shakily, he took the pipe out of his mouth and blew a stream of smoke into the sky. "Blood and bloody ashes!" he swore, "That was a bit intense. Who knows what'll happen now..." Aben trailed off.

"I hope you realize all the... panes we go through for your hobby." Aben quiped back

"No problems." Doc smiled, suddenly realizing he'd slept in his clothes, "Ah me. I'm reverting back to my collage ways." he laughed, getting out of bed.

Aben sighed, but continued moving towards Nerin, and now, Lance. A smile crossed his face as his eyes flicked down to the corpse, but it quickly disappeared. "So do you like breaking windows, or is it just a coincidence?" he asked, blowing a smoke ring up towards the jagged edges of the window.

Aben shifted in his seat, about to get up, but waited. Something was about to happen. Something important. Thank you, prophet. he thought ruefully. He stood up, deciding to help as much as he could. His hand rested on the hilt of his blade as he stalked closer to Nerin.

Doc akwardly tried to rub his shoulder but was pinned down by Cassie. "I'm so sorry. I wasn't thinking about you, or anyone else. I just wanted to know what would happen, and I didn't want to shoot anyone else. I'm sorry." he finished in a rush.

"Huh." Jamie mumbled, a bit stunned, "I guess that makes sense." she removed a gun from her waistband and fired a single shot into her lower jaw. The mists seemed to absorb her body as it fell. ~~~ Jamie vaulted out of Cassie's bed and knelt down next to her. "Cassie." she said quietly, "Wake up!"

"If this is a dream... perhaps..." A pistol appeared in Doc's hand and he raised it to his temple. He squeezed the trigger and exploded into Stormlight with a bang. ~~~ Doc's eyes snapped open, taking in the view of his room. He checked his watch. 5:30 AM. Rubbing his hair, Doc considered what had happened in the dream.

Jamie swept her gaze over the battlefield, mist dancing around her as she burned pewter. It seemed to shy away from the Radiants, as if it knew they were foreign. It looked like a lost cause to her, and she frowned. "Not much we can do here, besides watch. Our hands are tied."

Sadly, the massive Cryptics that acted as guards for short threads wouldn't allow it to be destroyed. Narrator Dapper was pretty ok with another TLT(M) spinoff.

Aben continued to puff contentedly on his pipe, keeping an eye on Nerin. He didn't like the look of that man. He seemed to smell of filth, as if he'd been rolling around in sewage. Probably not to far from the truth. Aben reflected.

"Well, I don't want to waste the matches I do have on lighting my pipe." Aben said, puffing contentedly, "I do travel quite a bit, though." he smiled, taking the pipe out of his mouth and blew a smoke ring at the man who'd just sat down. "Don't worry about it, friend. I don't even know her name"

I see you haven't ascended past your silly mortal debates over inferior breakfast foods. I don't like either waffles or pancakes for breakfast. It's sandwitches, eggs, or other savory stuff for me.
