Hello Shard! It's by far time I've been on the shard without creating a proper theory! This ones been brewing in my head for a while and its time I share it with the world, and besides, the Elantris forum looks a little empty... So my proposed theory is that the magic system of AonDor is separate from Identity and Connection unlike any other Cosmere magic system we've seen. We know that the Dor, or the Investiture of Devotion and Dominion, exists inside the Cognitive Realm. We also know that Connection and Identity plays a big part in what makes the Spiritual Realm, where most Investiture is stored. Aons have a wide range of powers and this could be due to the lack of set rules put in place by the Shards of Adolusium, they also can effect practically anyone! I believe that these factors leads to Identity having less of an impact on Sel's magic systems. Of course, Identity and Connection still effect the magic, otherwise anyone could draw Aons, Elantrian or not! To prove this theory more information could be used, either we all wait for the sequel to Elantris or we ask Brandon some questions, hopefully not being RAFO'd! This is my first theory and I would like to know what you think. Questions For Brandon! Could an Elantrian make a stamp with an Aon on it then use it instead of drawing their Aons? Could Multiple Elantrians work together on drawing one massive Aon, would this have any effects on the magic? @Ladrian

I think when you increase a Feruchemical attribute you gain a proportional "protection" That's why when tapping speed you don't kill yourself running into a wall or why when increasing weight you don't crush yourself. Speed gives you the necessary mental speed too and the weight gives you some strength So would warmth give you some fireproofness?

So the way that compounding works is that the power of Preservation is drawn through the burning of the metal to power the Feruchemcy. The actual Allomantic ability doesn't really matter, you just have to have the shared metal. Therefore, just lots of heat. I'm probably not the smartest guy on the forums to answer this question but that's how I see it. Try this for more info!

With those words of conformation Forumlurker once again shouted out an ideal of the Forumlurkers, “I WILL STAY SILENT AMONG MANY WORDS!!” Inhaling a stream of booklight, Forumlurker smiled and reached forth his hand pulling a chunk of un-retconned universe stuff into his world. A boulder appeared right above Le Sigh’s head.

"Hail to Lord Forium!" the characters yelled. Soon after Le Sigh yelled, "Now, go forth, my legion, and destroy the Knights Awkward ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!" The creepy not-real charters charged. "Um....well I've never done this before.....so...." Forumlurker stammered, "do you think you could give me a chance to learn?" Breathing in booklight, Forumlurker felt a new awkward power flow through him...he quickly turned invisible by manipulating the surge of Reclusiveness. A whispering voice could be heard saying, "Hey i just summoned my awkward blade! Um...Is it supposed to be a bookmark?" Either way, Forumlurker flowed through the amassed characters spreading paper cuts to all!

The longest thread is a very valid project to place in your signature. With an explanation! Wonderful! The theories' text is easy to understand and the theories are somewhat captivating. Does look a little empty to me though...but I don't know. @Apollyon Good work 8/10!

Alpha Universe (Un-retconned) "Um.... So it does look like it is a bad time so...... Beta Universe (Retconned) "Seeing as most people make their oaths in the face of certain death," Forumlurker mumbled, "It actually makes sense that there are lots of people...well...you know....foiling your plans for our certain death" Realizing that he had never actually spoken the oaths of the Forumlurkers he quickly shouted out, "Books before friends.. 17th Shard before the real world.. Granted, are the most productive person ever at explaining to the entire world just how productive you are. I wish for the combined intelligence's of all Criptics' to do my homework for me (so i can have more time for the shard)
