  1. That was somewhat the point of me posting it here. Feedback for those who want to give it so the guiding hand doesn't feel overbearing. It would certainly appear that way.
  2. I was intending to have the character disappear into a nether realm brought of his own schemes after the plot ran its course, so it's really no harm done. Also, yes, I will make a PM. Who all wants in?
  3. I was intending the temporal instability to be the first thing that showed up with a warping of nature/creatures in a subtle way, first, before accelerating.
  4. I was thinking Stravomenos, but he's on Scadrial right now. I was probably just going to use my last character slot to make a temporary character for the villain.
  5. There are indeed other bindpoints, as there are with anything else. (at least under this scenario). Sticking an aluminum spike in it would go badly. That was actually intended to be the source that I was going to tell whoever decided to pick it up and run with it. Congrats. Of course, there's always the chance that conflicts with something.
  6. That's certainly true enough.
  7. Fair enough.
  8. That might be it. We won't know for sure until Sandman tells us what his Fourth Law of Thermodynamics is that apparently explains all that stuff.
  9. Bold of you to assume anyone let me do that. The closest that comes to is Voidus telling me where to stick the idea at.
  10. Here's a plotline for anyone to take and do with as they wish (if they want) for the next rotation because I'm bored and this idea jacked into my brain. All I ask is that I be involved in the execution if it happens.
  11. I think it was a name/title thing passed down over time. Yeah, Clod is Arsteel, one of the other Five Scholars. EDIT: Got ninja'd by RShara.
  12. I'm not the person to ask about that. My stuff is all pretty full of holes but I'm not very good at finding any holes in anything.
  13. It's a lot different from my theory about Roshar but also slightly more detailed than my own, which boils down to "Adonalsium saw his own death and the Oathgates can re-merge Shards under proper circumstances" that's pretty much just full-on tinfoil hat.
  14. I would also enjoy Rlain as Bondsmith, probably with the Sibling due to similar "outsidership" between the two.
  15. He can be overhyped, but only for those people who are die-hard "This guy makes no mistakes" kind of fans. Otherwise he's author we all needed with the speed we didn't deserve. A savior from Rothfuss and Martin's slow typing. King among modern authors. Legend.
  16. Lance listened atop the roof, trying to discern what he could of the parlor occupants' conversation. It was mostly fruitless, unfortunately.
  17. They thought they were defending themselves from conflict by demons that had invaded them. Finding out that you are the invader after millenia of being told you're in the right, that the slaughter you've visited upon your enemies was righteous and was you defending your people would be devastating. On top of that, Honor himself was raving. He told them that they'd caused the destruction of their last world and, unlike the support he gave with the last generations of Radiants, he told them they'd do the same. They thought they were avenging the loss of their home and defending themselves, not that they were the ones who destroyed their old home and invaded another.
  18. Try StackOverflow as well. I can't help with this since I don't have Python at the moment, but SO's site is full of people who'll help.
  19. I (respectfully, of course) disagree. This is what Elend has been trying to figure out how to do. He's trying to change things. He's taking his philosophical readings and spinning them around, wrapping them around the core of the issue at hand, weaving peace from a mob with these parts. He seems exactly like the kind of person who would be able to sway a mob in book one, given the proper set of circumstances (which he had this time). There are doubtless many timelines in which there were too many people, or they were too angry, or they plain didn't listen, or Dox ordered him kept instead of allowing him to go free. He needed prompting and what amounts to an alignment of the stars with how many things lined up right, but it's not uncharacteristic for him to be able to do that. Words are powerful, especially when tensions are already high.
  20. Fair enough, fair enough.
  21. A violent power change with him being thrust into position as king is natural enough for ascending to a throne. Power changes like that don't generally happen slowly.
  22. I'm not trying to jump into the argument here, I'm just curious: would the Hemalurgic decay count as the "fuel" or consumption for Hemalurgy?
  23. I think it'd be able to be used, but there would probably be some...issues...with the Dor's plasma swirling around you like the Scadrian mists. Mmmmm, crispy Elantrian.
  24. On the roof of the parlor waited a man. He didn't want to be late to the upcoming fireworks, so he had decided to sleep atop the roof. He laid down...and waited for sleep to come. For tomorrow came the show. A thrill was near, waiting. He lived for this.
