Exotic spiritual stuff in AonDor
Invocation replied to Oltux72's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
The phrase "programming language of reality" doesn't seem to bound it off from altering (or at least reading) Fortune and/or Identity. I'd bet that if they did it right, they could pull some Connection shenanigans as well to keep their powers, but they don't seem to have pulled that off yet. There is some indication that they can access Fortune (Stormlight spoilers)- 26 replies

Hi my name is Luke and I'm addicted to the cosmere

Honestly, fair. Kaladin is pretty cool. So are you familiar at all with what goes on here on the Shard? -

Welcome to the Shard! Who's your favorite character so far in Way of Kings? -
I just reread the deal part, and Odium very carefully specifies 'those born into Kharbranth and their spouses' which unfortunately disqualifies Kaladin even if Hesina was truly born there, because I also do not think they had time to travel to Hearthstone if Kaladin had been born in Kharbranth.

Zerameth's head began to ache, irritatingly itchy as if he had known what the other two were discussing, but that knowledge like the rest had been lost to the murk in his mind. Phantom voices whispered to him of things he couldn't understand, and the temptation to look at where he had seen that thing before grew. He knew if he looked there he'd see it again, but he couldn't stand it. Nevertheless, his eyes twitched in that direction.

Upon the appearance of a threatening pseudo-deity, Okame did the smart thing and turned around, walking back the way they had come. The other two would have to deal with that on their own, but if he spent very much longer in that room, he'd end up crumbling and giving into his instincts. He was not willing to risk that.

Lance seethed. He felt powerless, exhibition in the warehouse or no, there didn't seem to be anything he could do. So he seethed, looming over the Elendel skyline, watching the mists undulate and hoping beyond hope they could calm him as they always did his friends. There is something you could do. The wind seemed to speak to him and with it came inspiration. There was something he could do. He pulled his backup mask from a pocket, the one with red lenses. It was time for him to bring flames to those who had earned it. One in particular. =========================== Lance carried his grisly package to the Parlor, work done for the night and card left in its glory so people knew who had delivered the earned punishment. He stopped for a second, ducking into an alley to readjust his bandages. He'd have to replace them soon, unless he wanted his blood halfway across the city. He strode out, rounding the corner to the parlor's front steps, and set down the package, careful to leave the twin blood-red M's facing the door and the street. Lance pounded on the door and left, ducking back and forth through multiple alleys, all to return to one of his dwindling safe locations. He could breathe here like nowhere else.

Why doesn't Kelsier need Investiture to manifest stuff?
Invocation replied to Oltux72's topic in Cosmere Discussion
The fire. He was popping it in and out of manifestation. I think the reason for this is probably the difference between Scadrial's Cognitive and Roshar's Cognitive, honestly. That, or it was a matter of him already being a Cognitive Shadow quantifying him differently than a spren. Or maybe it did require Investiture and it was just pulling off the Preservation Investiture that was anchoring him from the Beyond. -
What are the odds this has something to do with spren corruption? Take a portion of a spren's Investiture and replace it with the other type and do that until it completely fades over to the new form as a semi-new spren. Also, if that would work, would you be able to do that to every deadeye? They're already missing a solid chunk of their Investiture so half the work is done.

What is the Cutest thing in the Cosmere? Why?
Invocation replied to Karger's topic in Cosmere Discussion
But why were they were so valuable dead? There's no way the Investiture-eating continues post-mortem. And real life's. -
What is the Cutest thing in the Cosmere? Why?

Not dead! I think that would more make sure you'd never be able to acquire another one. Okay, fair enough, rich people do indeed do stupid things. -

Yeah but why. Why preserve the larkin? At least if you're going to do that put it somewhere no one would turn it into a paperweight! -
Nice.

"You want to talk blood?" Lance smacked her hand away. "Then let's talk blood. Yours, and all of the others', is worth nothing. You would already be dead without me. You want to talk about blood? Your boss? He would have died either way. Paying or not paying, there's no good time to be the one in charge with forces like this moving. "He got off easy." Lance grabbed Nerin by the shoulder and spun her around. "Look around you. This whole world is drenched in blood. Nothing ever changes without it." Lance pulled his mask off, fury written in every line of his posture. "You want vengeance? Handle it." "Or stop begging." He shoved her forward and Pulled on the rooftop beams, soaring upward. "Good luck."
-
"They might. Honor among thieves is...not their strong suit. I blame that Archivist bastard that started this. Odds are, though, they haven't done it. At least if they know what's good for them." Lance heated up. He knew he was inordinately fond of that parlor, but he was always a sucker for good conversation. "If they've done it, trust me, they won't live to regret it in full measure."
-
"Everyone would. You can't take any guarantees, payment or no. One of my friends...he'd always specifically hit the ones that had already paid him. Use that as an excuse to attack someone else. Took over a solid chunk like that, no interruptions. Made it look easy." Lance grimaced. "Started hitting him back a little while after he took a real turn. Anyway, if they decided to take a pinch from his vials, your parlor is gone."
-
"Glad to see you up and about, if what you were doing with your skirts could be considered...about at all." Lance smirked a little. "But you didn't really need to fear me dying. Kind of hard for me to do."

It'd probably be both. Creationspren to power the fabrial, Brandonspren/cosmerespren to focus that creation onto his own works.

All I needed was the motivation, so that's ideal.

I can alter my body temperature at will.

For my main three, I'd give myself electrum Compounding (for the infinite determination whenever I need it) and A-brass (so that I can pull a Breeze and Soothe everyone around me). The other two I'd probably save up for would be a gold Compounding set.

I've just sent a message asking you to be added, so you should be taken care of soon enough!

Never. Rode a motorbike off a roof and through a wooded obstacle course at 60 mph. Subjective. Next! Live. On a more serious note, lucid dreaming was much more underwhelming than I thought it would be. Predicted via dream down to the minute when I'd break my leg. Sanity is a measurement that doesn't concern me or those near me. Subjective. Larkin as a pet. Money for life with a cute pet versus being a Lighteyes for five days is not a hard choice. Chocolate chip cookie dough, easy. To ask questions. To answer your questions.
