I think Shardwielding would refer to either Honor having a Vessel again or living Shardblades.

I thought she summoned it directly in front of Tyn and let Tyn's momentum carry her into it. Might be wrong. It's been a while since I read WoR

Why can you summon a Shardblade by attatching gemstones to it?
Invocation replied to Rushu42's topic in Stormlight Archive
Shardblade material is a godmetal, Tanavastium, so it's not really a fabrial, unless the definition of fabrial is a lot more broad than we thought.. It's just the manifestation of an entirely Investiture being that's been yanked into the Physical Realm. Plate probably is too, based on what we've seen, only from different types of spren. -
If Maya revives, will she be the same?
Invocation replied to Invocation's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yeah, my bad. It's a deeper bond than what they have now, yes, but not deep enough for the merging of spiritwebs that grants the powers. I don't think Maya could grant powers again, even if they did bond that deeply. I think with the betrayal of her last Radiant, the portion of her spiritweb that is able to do that is gone, on a permanent basis now that her Radiant is dead. She might be able to wake up and not be a full deadeye, but I doubt she's going to be fully resurrected in the same way that Syl was. That, or Adolin is going to end up fully merging himself with her and you've got some strange Robocop (Sprencop?) situation happening where they act together physically as well as mentally. -

That's assuming the Nahel bond is the only kind of bond spren can have. It might end up being a hybrid between a seon-type bond and a Nahel bond, to where Maya can talk and be summoned faster, but not that it's deep enough to grant surges. -
Is Nightblood's Sheath Made of Aluminum?

That's still not as as fun as larger responses. -

They don't exactly release the spren to use the fabrial, they just take advantage of what the spren does passively and enhance that effect using metal and sometimes Stormlight. -

Yeah, but where's the fun of that? Where's the flair, the panache? -
Is Nightblood's Sheath Made of Aluminum?
Invocation replied to Jruesch2's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yes it is. It's the only thing capable of keeping him from whispering in the minds of all the people around him and contain his hunger. It also keeps some of his leaking Investiture in, potentially contributing to him growing stronger over time. Edit: Storms. Got ninja'd . @HSuperLee curse you and your speed typing abilities! -
If Maya revives, will she be the same?
Invocation replied to Invocation's topic in Stormlight Archive
I don't think Adolin will get Surges at all (as cool as that would be), but I think the bond Adolin is establishing with her will just allow him to summon his Blade quicker than the 10 heartbeat time limit, in much the same way he managed it in 7 in Oathbringer. -
It has been described as dropping into a person's hands (from a small distance, nothing like 30 feet in the air or anything, it just kind of drops like a centimeter), manifesting all at once. If something is in the way, there might be some issues, but I think it would more just bounce and shatter back into the mist is appears from unless the summoner was specifically trying to keep it summoned, in which case it would just bounce and fall to the ground. It's very possible I'm wrong, though.

Yes, he did not expect to be able to do so. -
Hoid's Inability to Harm Others
Invocation replied to StormblessedSurvivor's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Funny thing about there: there was no hurt. Cognitive Shadows don't actually feel pain, they just think they will so their mind twinges, thus it didn't actually cause any harm, circumventing the rules he has. Hoid is a lawyer. -
There was also a Smoker there disguising him who Vin thought was the one keeping the pulses hidden.

There's 2 here that can fly, and the other two can almost fly, so I don't know where that line gets you here except for a batch of jelly-filled pastries. Fire all the way, though.

Seers exist. Can't burn copper if you can only burn atium.

How many atium shadows does a steelrunner have?
Invocation replied to beantheboy12's topic in Mistborn
Theoretically, the correct Resonance could allow a Steelrunner to run even faster than Paalm could, not to mention they might have had more time to store speed. Yes, the enhancement Steelrunners would have would be redundant compared to atium, but only because they can just bullet-time and out-maneuver the Seer each time before the Seer could move to adjust, no matter if they could see the shadow or not, as most of the adaptation of atium is mental.- 43 replies

How many atium shadows does a steelrunner have?
Invocation replied to beantheboy12's topic in Mistborn
The bullet hitting the blur that would be the Steelrunner is debatable. Steel helps get to bullet time pretty fast, which is named appropriately for the fact that you are faster than the bullet. Seer won't be able to do anything when the Steelrunner can see the bullet like they're Quicksilver in Days of Future Past.- 43 replies

How many atium shadows does a steelrunner have?
Invocation replied to beantheboy12's topic in Mistborn
I would say all of that hinges on the amount of speed the Steelrunner has stored up. Too much speed used too quickly will overwhelm even the enhancement of atium on anything other than a mental level.- 43 replies

How many atium shadows does a steelrunner have?
Invocation replied to beantheboy12's topic in Mistborn
Wax could get hits from nearly point-blank range on a Steelrunner focused on escaping and not dodging. A Seer would have many more difficulties, even discounting the fact that Wax is abnormally gifted with his guns. I don't think anything could save the Seer except a distraction or the Steelrunner's speed drying up.- 43 replies

oathbringer spoilers Are Rosharans Tall?
Invocation replied to IGetLIFTed's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think, under those circumstances, she was eating the Investiture Dalinar was shedding, so she's still eating and converting, she just happens to have had a meal of almost pure Stormlight. -

Mentally, I think the Seer would be able to react. Physically, not so much.- 43 replies

Oh, yeah, the hotel in BoM. I've always wanted to see that scene fully animated and voiced because it might be the best set of interactions there.
