There is a typo, there, that I noticed on my most recent re-read. At location 3131, Wayne and Marasi are talking about their powers and Wayne is trying to cheer Marasi up about her "useless" power. When referring to Marasi's powers, they accidentally used Chromium in place of Cadmium both times it is mentioned within that conversation.

Yeah, and I'd be willing to bet his whole thing is that "I can help more people, I just have to get more powers." Perception plays a large role in cosmere magic. Elend while being fueled by Vin, or Vin powered by the mists probably could have used one of the other metals had they known about them. But they didn't, so they didn't look, so they weren't there.
