Alright, I've started up the next round. I went with the KR orders, mostly because there were a good number of them. New thread can be found here.

Well everybody, it's another round of Hurt 'n' Heal, and today's theme is the Knights Radiant. The rules are the same as they've always been: 1. When taking a turn deal 2 damage and heal 1 damage. You can choose to hurt two Orders by one, or one order by two, it doesn't matter. Please highlight your changes if you can. 2. If an Order reaches 20hp, it becomes purple and can no longer be harmed until the second round. 3. Once only two non-purple Orders remain, round two begins. In round 2, all remaining Orders have their health set to 20, and fight to the death. 4. Even if I'm a horrible example of this, try to keep at least two posts in between your own. I probably missed one but we'll deal with that later. I'll take the first turn, as is my sacred right as the person who happened to make a new thread first. The way I understood it, the SoScadrians naturally adapted over the thousand+ years to be able to tolerate the insane temperatures that come with living too close to the sun without any ashmounts. When Harmony restored the world to normal temperature, they started freezing to death in what most would consider barely below average weather. Likely the only reason Harmony didn't move to help them was because somebody else was already down there doing just that, which removed his excuse to ignore his Shards and move to help them.

What you see in Secret History is a cognitive aspect, which Harmony in Bands of Mourning says is "returned to the Cosmere." But that's just a nitpick, because he also says the soul goes someplace Beyond that he can't reach, so we're still losing something. I've got no idea how it works though.

Sure thing. You now have to eat that meal for the rest of your life. No other food will sustain you. No other liquids either. You'll have to depend on the water inside of the meal you've chosen. You will eat. You will eat until you are your hunger is SATED. You will keep eating until your thirst is QUENCHED. YOU. WILL. EAT. On a related note, I wish that I didn't need to eat or drink and never felt the need.

Given their willingness to cooperate, alongside the fact that they more or less created Scadrial from scratch, I'm thinking they were intending to work together, if not from the start, then not long after. It's quite possible they were friends, Ati sounds like the kind of person who'd have a lot of those. Makes it twice as sad knowing where they wound up.

I believe the gemstone refers to the little pinkish gems on Yolen. We know they're still canon despite being from Liar of Partinel because Mraize has one preserved in fluid in his study. The crystals are notable for being Yolen's version of a Nahel-bond, making it the second type of Investiture to be copied almost wholesale by Honor/Cultivation. They were extremely fragile, which is why Mraize keeps the one he has in suspension. I've always assumed that Hoid was unable to preserve whichever one he was trying to keep alive.

We figure it's more meaningful if the astronomy team gets the honor being the Coinshots. Sure a Hemalurgic Coinshot is weaker, but at these power levels it doesn't really matter. I imagine they were thrilled to hear that they were the first people to ever reach another planet's cognitive expanse through vertical travel.
