I think that there is more than a sect in the Ardentia, if the Dalinar ardent didn't say anything maybe he didn't know. But i get your drift so lets' wait a little bit, we don't have much info of the Ardentia. But I think that they are a major player in the next books. Until know we have a Ardent ghostblood, two fabrial scientist, one Ardent that engage in Alenthi court politics, for sure there something going on in this front =)

But the Ardentia support Dalinar (the ardent in one of the king's feast said to Dalinar that him had their support). For sure they know more than the average joe, maybe they know exactly what are happening with Dalinar. I see some meat in this theory here.

I suspect that Gavilar maybe received the visions too, or some other kind of magic inspiration that would explain his change of personality. Another thing, anyone noticed that many characters that had contact with The Way of Kings kind changed. Dalinar after begin reading and believing in the books received "visions". Kaladin after learn the 1º e 2º ideals(associated with his bond) basically gained superhuman power. Gavilar discovered something that the parshendi feared would change the wolrd, (and he knew about the ideal - The most important words that a man can say -). The book is the key to power of old and I think that the visions maybe could be related with it.

Apparently Surgebinding is one of most difilcult magics to use in Brandon magic systems. You need "A broken soul" You need attract an special kind of spren You need act in a given way, but apparently not only act, but really believe in the thing you are doing. You need know the "words" to gain power You need stormlight to full your power It's a lot of "needs" I curious to know how the KR of old trained new Knight. How you can teach a person to have a broken soul or believe deeply in the ideal like Kaladin. That would explain the fact that apparently there aren't many Radiants (1500 to 3000 in accord with we know), a elite order indeed. Even "Sting" are ilegal in some countries. Here the police can't set a situation to attract crimanals, because if the person couldn't really commit the crime because everything was a trap (no real danger) no crime was commited. In my oppinion is silly without size but it's the law. What Jasnah did aren't worse than Kaladin or Dalinar killing Parshendis, in my oppinion the criminals deserved what they got much more then the parshendi boy that Dalinar killed. She my be harsh aor even cruel but teleologically she was right. Just my oppinion =)

The Bondsmith, born in blood and death(Dalinar "born" in a way in the tower battle he finded himself), striving to rebuild what was destroyed(The costant "Unite them" voice). My best guess about Bondsmith is that Dalinar loosely fit the description. And for what we know bondsmith use superficial tension surge, maybe the theory that Dalinar used this surge to stop the clasmfiend was correct. Anyone have any opinion about this matter ?

Friend Shardlet, I was thinking if maybe we could use part of the two words like "Shard something" or "blade something" to form 2 to 4 words, after all Hoid said that "words are often the sounds of other words, cut up and dismembered, then stitched into something like them" I another thing Shardblade are a single word or composite, I can't remember ?

I tried to break he second one but my english isn't good enough for this, only two vogals and one Y, is a nightmare to me =) My best guess is that the word must have two G together and end with Y, or two separate words.

Give Kalladin one or two halfshard shields, and he have great chance against Szeth. One thing I'm certain, I'm very anxious to see the next fabrials in this series. I'm sucker for pseudo-scientific gadgets, the pain Knife and the Emotion detector are nice, but, a fabrial weapon that would be nice =)
