Anniversary Game 9/Anonymous Game 13: Rebuilding Tyrian Falls
Coral Swan replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I am PMing people and otherwise hitting my head on a brick wall. Doubly so because a Coinshot survival is one of the most irritating Night results, and hashing out the resulting Thug problem is literally zero fun. I am minded to vote Flamingo as an incentive to give some explanation for the survival, as well as somebody on whom I have had not-great reads. I am not convinced you are convinced that I am village, but I am convinced that it does not significantly matter what you think of me so long as you are searching for the Spiked and do not get in the way of my doing the same. I understand my absence from the thread has been more prolonged than it should be, but I do hope to fix that this cycle.- 862 replies

Anniversary Game 9/Anonymous Game 13: Rebuilding Tyrian Falls
Coral Swan replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Lasset das Zagen, verbannet die Klage Onidsen whistled, flipping through the first set of records. They were ancient, it seemed, and the tale nearly as sordid—the first recorded Tyrian, done in by lies and distrust and a mysterious individual named Bartbug. He shuddered, his jolly tune breaking off. Stimmet voll Jauchzen und Fröhlichkeit an! This record, however, seemed complete, even if its tale was a sad one. The next few also seemed in good condition, and he opened the recollections of the next Scholar in his line, and jumped back with a strangled cry. Edda barked and jumped on him, sniffing at his fist which held the parchment, but he yanked it up before she could begin to chew it. He pushed himself to his feet and re-examined what he saw, to make sure his eyes were still working. They were. A scrawled note on the corner of that next record, barely legible, with his name upon it. A small slip was attached, folded up. Taking it in his trembling hands, he unfolded the scrap of parchment.- 862 replies

Anniversary Game 9/Anonymous Game 13: Rebuilding Tyrian Falls
Coral Swan replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hello from the other side of RL hectic times… Missed rollover yesterday, but I would have voted Heron, so maybe that’s a good thing. Rebounding off the v/n/e thing suggested as well as the night voting, I am liking what I see from Tuatara and Alb, have no opinions on Lion or Elephant which is beginning to concern me, and actively dislike Chameleon and Scorpion’s votes last cycle. I am fine with the Coinshot taking Falcon to clear the air, or maybe hitting Dragonfly or Flamingo, but would most prefer the targets I have put in red. If you are in one of my PM groups and I have not replied: I am sorry. I do actually like talking, I am simply out of time to do a lot of it. I will try to get to them tonight, or tomorrow if I do not die.- 862 replies

This is a bad start. And I haven’t even finished my D1 reread. Pearl Chameleon, anything to say yet? You were on the quieter end of things yesterday.- 862 replies

OOC: I am alive, and apologise for my extended absence from the thread. Those PMing me know I am more responsive there. Working on a systematic reread/analysis of D1 right now. Also, just for fun: I am asking for Lurcher protection tonight- 862 replies

Anniversary Game 9/Anonymous Game 13: Rebuilding Tyrian Falls
Coral Swan replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Jauchzet, frohlocket! The room was dark and almost empty. Onidsen groaned as he rubbed the sleep from his eyelids and rolled over, stopping as he felt the fur from Edda's shaggy coat tickle his nostrils. He let out a tremendous sneeze, displacing the thin layer of dust and ash which had already gathered on the floor. He pulled the blinds and the thin red glow filtered in, illuminating the motes now floating lazily in the air. Edda's tail stirred and they soon became a cloud, and through his coughs, Onidsen threw open the door and let her run into the street. He glanced at the sun's position. It was nearly midday--he must have slept in even longer than he'd intended. Auf, preiset die Tage! Plopping himself off the bed, he drained the glass of water which stood on his nightstand and dressed quickly. There was more commotion in the streets than he had expected at this hour. Tyrian, which a week before had been filled with the voices of children gleefully re-enacting the town's victory over the Spiked--the defrocking of the false Jaist, the apprehension of the Coinshot--now seemed filled with another noise, one from earlier in the tale. Onidsen whistled, and Edda trotted in from outside. "Ready, girl?" he asked. She yelped. Close enough. Crossing the room in three paces, he exited into the town square, heading towards the archives, Edda trotting behind. Rühmet, was heute der Höchste getan! He hummed as he went, doing his best to ignore the uproar in the street. He nodded to a few of the town's denizens, and a couple smiled down at Edda, who at least knew not to acknowledge the attention. Now that he'd broken off the crowd, he would be best served making as straight a line from the house to the archives as possible. Let us rejoice, for another AG is upon us. Melon Dingo- 862 replies

I’m kinda confused as to why I’m being voted on. Could @Chartreuse Penguin or @Ivory Dragonfly summarize? I’m smoking myself again, so don’t count on vote manip to make/break ties.

Presumably the implication is that you are a Kandra that just body-hopped and are setting up to have more leeway when impersonating Past Penguin

Maybe, but I sort of feel like the elims would be aware of the fact that Weasel has, in fact, posted a reads list. Especially if Amber is right about Weasel being Falcon.

Fortunately, this is an AN, so we have no way of knowing whether this is an honest claim or not . My vote is gonna stick at least until your reads list. And even if you were clean D2, you might not be now.

This is the post that Vulture flagged as being pretty different tonally from your D1 content (and I agree, hence my vote).

"Uh, sure. I'll do my best to protect us." Atari's eyes hardened slightly. "But, well, if you're one of them... I'll do what I have to to save the others from you."

Wow, 5 hours and no posts. I feel decently that Weasel has switched up their terminology and playstyle enough between C1 and C2 that there is a reasonable chance that they are who Falcon bounced to. Hopefully the elims have no more jumps, and we haven't lost too much in the way of roles. I suppose it's worth going through D1 to check for Ostrich's interactions, assuming Falcon didn't jump to them. There might not be a third elim, but I wouldn't bet on that unless the elims have another jump (or even 2).

I would say that would probably fall under game throwing. If I were an elim that converted you, and you didn't cooperate, I would ask for moderator intervention.

That doesn't work, because if you get converted, your alignment changes and you can give the solution to the Kandra that steals your body. Otherwise we could all have done something like that starting N1.

My vote is for any Coinshots to hit Ostrich. Scorp seems like an obvious pick as someone that has gathered a fair amount of suspicion. In fact, I'm pretty sure if Scorp was actually the contact then Ostrich would have been less confident in their scan results.

Pretty sure this is what I said it was . Either Ostrich or the contact, if there even is one, is an elim KandraThug.

The person I quoted was talking about Elantrians, which is a mechanic of the current QF. Nobody actually posted in the wrong game, so far as I can tell. Vote switch from Scorpion to Albatross. I think it's reasonable but not certain that the village has a Seeker this game, I think Kas kel is generally against them, but the body-hop mechanic counters that. However, I highly doubt there are 2, so if anyone is a scanner that didn't scan Albatross (or another elim), the person you cleared should let us know. I also think that given the right roles this could be an elim ploy, i.e., if Ostrich (or the "Seeker") is a Kandra with a hop that is inhabiting a Thug currently. Then we pretty much waste 1-2 cycles of voting, depending on what happens at night.

I suppose that we should at least assume that Falcon's reads list came after the team made that call. Maybe not the earlier posts, although there isn't really much of substance in the interactions with Meerkat and Scorp. My first thought is that it would be weird for the elims to draw a specific connection to a teammate like that so early on in the game. It's possible that the whole PM thing was just a ploy for Ostrich to get trust, combined with a vote for more distancing. But for now I'm gonna lean village there, on the principle that attention=bad for the elims.

Do you think Vulture's suspicion of Falcon last cycle fits with them being elim? Also, any thoughts on my notes abut Falcon's player interactions?

And this take isn't at all influenced by the fact that you are also on this list? Besides, none of the "buddying up" here is super overt. I just think the natural elim response to to agree with/support your teammates, especially if all the votes are coming from a behavior that is arguably NAI.

While I appreciate that, someone who was good now isn't (barring really weird circumstances that I don't give any credence to). I will say that I'm reconsidering my read of you. If you were elim and your team was planning to reveal Falcon as evil, you could have had a less abrupt change of opinion about me. My thoughts on conversion: the elims would want to convert someone that hasn't drawn much attention, that isn't very connected to Falcon, and ideally that also has a role. However, other elims would have likely pushed against the Falcon votes at least a little bit. Posts that involve Falcon in some way: People that have negative comments about Falcon: Scorp, Weasel, Mouse, me People with positive comments about Falcon: Hyena, Scorp, Penguin, Vulture (the comment from Hyena was in regards to IRL stuff so I'm mostly discounting it) People with NAI comments about Falcon: Penguin, Albatross, Meerkat People that Falcon made negative comments about: Albatross, Ostrich, Croc People that Falcon made positive comments about: Scorp, Weasel, Meerkat, Dingo, Penguin, Vulture, Swan People that Falcon made NAI comments about: Mouse, Dragonfly, Croc, Hyena, Beagle So my best guess for a Falcon teammate is one of Scorp/Penguin/Vulture, less on Vulture because of what I said above. And maybe Meerkat is my best guess for a convert, but I don't have much confidence in that. Vote is on Scorp because I also think their D1 was suspicious independent of Falcon.

Mostly because I felt a bit guilty about abandoning my vote near the end of the turn. I would usually try and push some other folks to join me. Nothing? I gave my reasoning for why that analysis was bad, and while bad analysis =/= elim, I think it is a point against them. Haven't really heard anyone else chime in on the matter, or if they did I skimmed past it.
