Anniversary Game 8 / AN11: Back to Beginnings
Coral Swan replied to Elbereth's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don’t think he’s being killed because of suspicion on you, he’s being killed for suspicion on him and the suspicion on you backs it up. It’s the same principle as the survival, the reasons came first. (In this case sooner after than the survival, though.) But their reads lists, voting record, and defense of Gorilla are all independent of you. And I do plan to, but know that you’re not only being suspected because of Hyena. You should already know that since your previous paragraph was all about suspecting Hyena because of the reads on you, and both can’t be true. They’re inverse statements. Praise the Ja! -

There's nothing to respond to. You told me I shouldn't have posted what I did because I know who you are, and yet I did post that, so The other part of that post was a statement, not a question, that didn't need a response. Praise the Ja! Edit: Also I find it interesting that not a single counter-proposal has been put forth. People have mentioned that they don't like the exe, or the reasons it should be abandoned, but no one, not even Hyena, has proposed who, if not Hyena, is elim. Praise the Ja! -

Ah. Never mind, then :P. Praise the Ja! Edit: That's Opal and Ocho. And I don't know what you mean by this, but that does make me realize- why save v!Hyena and kill Vulture? Vulture was one of the main people against Hyena. If they were truly setting up a misexe I think they'd kill someone else. You could say that this was a gambit to make me think that or something, but that'd make this a gambit within a gambit which I think is a bit ridiculous. Especially when the main gambit being proposed is one I've never seen before. What's the point of mentioning this? Do you think Meerkat is evil? Praise the Ja! -

So why'd you ask if Meerkat was a Coinshot? Praise the Ja! -

Because Meerkat claimed (and proved themselves as) Tineye, after posting a Tineye message falsely outing themselves as elim to draw reactions and assess. Praise the Ja! -

I've privately acknowledged it and decided I think Hyena being elim is the more likely option. v!Falcon, but an e!Lurcher is better proven through e!Hyena. It is technically possible that v!Hyena was protected by a v!Lurcher, but the Lurcher should claim in that case. If Hyena flips village I'd look not at this cycle but the last three, at who pushed e!Hyena and who didn't. That I think would be useful. Lol Did you read D3? xD Praise the Ja! -

And that's somehow more likely than e!Hyena? The survival isn't the only reason for voting Hyena; I'm fairly certian they'd be a strong contender for today's exe if the Coinshot had hit someone completely different. As you noted, many people seem to think Hyena is evil, myself included. If they're not exed today they'll probably be exed tomorrow, and either flip (v/e) would give us great information. It's the best course of action, and their actions do support e!them, not just the survival. Praise the Ja! -

Not really. They could have just let Hyena die, probably shot Falcon, and gone on with their lives. At that point most of our leads would have been expended and it likely wouldn't be too difficult to help nudge a misexe. Praise the Ja! -

If a village Lurcher truly did save Hyena, they’ll probably disagree with the majority of the votes on them. Hyena’s survival isn’t the only reason they’re being voted on but it is a reason, one that sort of backs everything else up. Said hypothetical village Lurcher would want to claim so as to save Hyena since they obviously village read him enough to have protected him last night. Praise the Ja! -

I’d love this Lurcher to reveal themselves. They should have no problem doing so. Praise the Ja! -

(Charcoal Hyena) Either way they survived, Lurcher or Thug, indicates an elim imo. Thug means they were lying about the metal they got (a metal that would have otherwise been provable) and Lurcher means that they were protected and at the point the discussion was at yesterday I think that comes from an elim teammate much more often than a villager. All this has already been said but I didn't want to post a naked vote lol Praise the Ja! -

Su didn't know what to say. "Praise the Ja..." he muttered. Well, if he had to default to something, that was it. Never had anyone, not even a fellow Jaist, shown such kindness towards Su. Tyrian Falls was a rough place; he had seen that since relocating here, but he didn't regret the move. The people of the town needed the truth he offered. But even though the merchant's behavior was exceptionally welcoming, Su couldn't help but notice the restraint behind his praising. The fact that the town needed the Ja despite having multiple Jaists walking its streets. Oh well. Su would do the work, if no one else would. And the Ja would reward him for it. As he bit into the coralmelon, Su whispered once more. "Praise the Ja!" -

Su boldly stepped up onto a wooden box in the middle of town, wishing he had shoes for the splinters it gave but grateful to the Ja anyway for gifting this moment to preach. In a moment of epiphany, a realization granted by the great and powerful Ja, Su had realized that the people of Tyrian Falls may listen now that Su had been a loud voice in ridding the town of the Spiked Game Show host. With their trust, perhaps he could save them all. "Here ye, here ye, Tyrian Falls! Praise the Ja!" he began. His voice echoed through the town, bouncing off the buildings back at him. He ignored the emptiness of the courtyard, though it made preaching more difficult. He'd prefer to have an investigator to bounce off of. "You have been blessed this day with the death of a Spiked!" Su continued. "Praise the Ja! For the Ja has allowed this miraculous event, guiding me in my actions! Praise the Ja! You, too, can come to the truth of the Ja, praise the Ja!" He paused for a moment, waiting to see if anyone would approach. No one came. Su sighed. "Under the Ja's guidance, Tyrian Falls can be redeemed, praise the Ja! The Spiked plague can end! Praise the Ja!" With every word his hand motions grew more exuberant and his voice raised. Su's voice rarely tired; he had much practice with preaching to the people- a mark of a true Jaist. Those who were less faithful grew tired after twenty to thirty minutes, but not Su. He could shout praises for hours. With a bang, a door was thrown open and a grizzled man stepped out onto his porch, bleary eyed and angry. "Rusts!" he yelled. "Will you shut your mouth? I'm tryin' to sleep!" the man wasn't one Su had seen before, meaning he had chosen to stay out of the discussion. Su stopped, and looked up at the sky. Dark, inky blackness of night and cloud cover. Perhaps he should have waited until morning. Su hated to prolong the spreading of Ja's words, but he understood that the Ja knew that sleeping, or woken up, people were less prone to receive the truth. Best to cut this sermon short. But before stepping off his box, Su uttered a closing statement, spoken as loud as he could muster. "Praise the Ja!" -

Your track record suggests that though this might be true, it won't make a difference :P. It should though. Go to sleep. (I should follow my own advice) Praise the Ja! -

It tells us that the elims don't all have roles :P. And maybe that the ones they do are more powerful- the option of fewer but better roles as opposed to more but weaker roles. But it's one flip so who knows. I should RP more. Su's probably annoyed he hasn't been in focus. Praise the Ja! -

I think this reflects on a lot of people, I'll check that (though someone else [Meerkat] will probably get to it first). Good job ensuring it went through with that manip, people xD Message received, thanks Nice writeup, too. Praise the Ja! -

Welcome to the club :D. I did say this, but at the same time... like, it'd be pretty gutsy for an elim to post an iso right before a villager flips condemning every one of their posts as elim. I believe I said that before Croc actually flipped, though I was reading Croc strong vil at that point. Falcon does this both alignments, for the record. It's their playstyle, which as you noted, is hard to read. Praise the Ja! -

The fixation on regular/vanilla I think is a village point, actually. Falcon’s saying that a real red scan would have said ‘Vanilla Spiked’ and not ‘Regular Spiked’ and it’s further evidence for v!Meerkat Praise the Ja! -

I saw it. Meerkat = Village Tineye This has been proven (well, the Tineye part) due to codes Meerkat included in the messages that correspond to his RP. Meerkat faked the claim to draw reactions and assess, since we weren't getting anywhere with the standard analysis- I believe the way he phrased it was akin to 'hitting the game with a very big stick and see what happens' This makes much more sense than Meerkat being evil because Meerkat isn't the kind of player that would derp and slip that easily A redcheck coming through a Tineye is abnormal anyway Furthermore, a Seeker only would have had time to scan one player at that point, so they only could have scanned the Tineye OR Meerkat in this situation, not both. Note that’s Coinshot they claimed, not Seeker. Either way my view of that claim is that it’s NAI. This is something I still would like an explanation on but I also don’t think there necessarily is one. It’s the kind of thing that’s weird, but do you really think an elim would make that mistake? In all fairness Things were weird with the Meerkat mess. Again, this something that I can see what you’re referring to but don’t think an elim would draw that attention to themselves. You walk this back yourself, so idk why you bothered to include this as a reason Praise the Ja!
