  2. seeing as i had just checked into thread and saw a post from you that i didnt like; i feel no remorse about putting my vote there. Why had your vote been on Dragonfly anyways?
  3. whats the purple indicate? im lightly assuming that italics is questioning?

  6. i cant believe i was asleep for 17 hours. uhm. hello.
  7. Okay, I'm a little late, but I'm here now. Time for a little RP before I try to analyze this crazy situation. *** Taltin Keriell walked through the solemn streets of Tyrian Falls. He pulled his simple skaa cloak around himself and turned onto another street. He had come here at the wrong time. He had hoped that this would be a simple trip: in and out in a few days, no hustle, no complications. But he'd arrived at the worst possible time. Supplies disappearing. Rebuilding efforts fading. People spoke of "spiked." He wasn't entirely sure what they were. He only knew that an ordinary man or woman pierced with metal would have their behavior altered to a degree that made them...evil. He didn't know how, or why, or if it was real. But something was going on. It was easy to see, even for a total outsider like him. What I wouldn't give for just one ally in this town, he thought. He knew no one. He was a stranger caught in the crisis. And he wasn't sure if he'd make it out alive. He turned onto another street, searching for a place to stay. The red sun hid behind a cloud, and a light ashfall began. He pulled the hood of his cloak over his head and continued on, only to find himself in a square where several villagers were discussing the situation. Might as well listen in, try to figure out what in the Lord Ruler's name is going on here...
  8. Did someone make this activity more Nordic, because this game is Finnished! Great game, everyone. Thank you, zookeepers, for the work you put into this. @Melon Dingo I have a brownie for you because someone said there's no prize for being the last elim standing and I want to prove them wrong. @Pearl Chameleon I still want to see what you did in those PMs. >. >
  9. I must be trapped in a poisonous metal because I'm in the lead. And Octopus hasn't even voted yet, hence the need for self-preservation tactics. Several people have cited the vote manipulating as a reason to suspect me. There was a lot of it going on last night, and when Flamingo said it again I gave up on secrecy.
  10. Huh. So that's what that looks like. Is that vote a makeup desk, because it looks like a vanity. For the record, I kinda like Scorp's logic. Anyway, I was hoping to keep this secret, but y'all seem really hung up on the vote manipulation D1. I am a Soother and I removed Chameleon's vote on me yesterday. I think Gorilla might be one too, since they reacted to the vote manipulation on them the same way I did (ignore it) then how I considered doing it (general paranoid speculation). But that'd be a weird coincidence if so. Also, thanks for the PM apology when you thought I was the Coinshot, Albatross, but I'm really not. I'd have hidden my suspicions about you better last Night if I was. Octopus
  11. Penguin, you belong in the miner leagues, because you're great at speculation. To clarify, I have not yet voted, especially not for myself as Beagle mistakenly noted. I don't feel comfortable killing Albatross today because it feels like that wagon is tainted by what might be an overreaction/mis-read to the faking newness thing, and I feel bad about that regardless of my suspicions. I'd prefer to self-pres onto Octopus, but I'll do Flamingo if it comes to it.
  12. Am I a paper weight, because I finally got on desktop. I’m not going to defend my playstyle, because I’m intentionally experimenting with one I’ve been dismissive of in past to see if it has merit, but I will try and explain it. I’m only voting when I’m confident of a read, I’m not making reads lists or backreading much, and I’m trusting my gut to guide my decisions. I know it’s an annoying playstyle to read, and I’m a talkative person anyway, so I’ve been trying to provide enough commentary for you to get an idea of my mindset. I know that part of the game involves helping you read others, but for the time being, the most I’m hoping for is something I say makes you dwell on a post long enough to connect dots that turn into a fully flushed read. I figured in a game of this size, I could take the backseat without tanking our chances and maybe even come up a clutch performance down the stretch. D1, I knew I’d picked up a few votes and was planning on ignoring them until I think it was Albatross’ that made me worry. I disliked their reasoning and was confident they were evil, but I had to backtrack when Gorilla also voted for me. I was prepared to vote in protest, but not if it meant dying, so I switched. I didn’t read Gorilla’s post properly – I just saw red (literally) – and my quick calculation was that if I vote Gorilla, their vote will stick for sure, whereas if I vote for Crocodile, they might move if they’re village. Those situations are pretty unwinnable, but at least I would survive, which created a chance that a Spiked would die. Plus, the pun came easier and that was important to me. Suspects: Hyena’s giving me a lot of grief about a self-preservation vote. Swan and Octopus ended up voting together and it looks to me like Octopus was shielding Swan during D1. Falcon probably isn’t Swan’s teammate, but they voted off Mauve, made an odd declaration about the coinshot, and somebody talkative has to be evil, right. There’s up to seven of them. Axolotl, Beagle, and Heron were on near rollover. Ironic Nulls: It would be convenient if Gorilla was Spiked because then we could implicate a lot of people. Dingo has an excuse for lurking, but they were still there at the end of D1, which is the traditional time for an evil meet-n-greet. Albatross (not Gorilla’s teammate) voted for the tie, but then didn’t push for my death as hard as they could have today. Scorpion provided a summary with their final vote, but they also attracted attention by breaking the tie. Trusts: I trust Meerkat’s read about the Chameleon wagon seeing little pushback. Meerkat’s explained optimal Spiked strategy D1 when they didn’t need to. Vulture didn’t vote and their style makes them hard enough to read that I suggest leaving them a Spiked flips. Reads I Might Come Back To: I have a fun theory about Meerkat’s Octopus vote. The thread went dead after that, and I wonder if that was because the Spiked, who drive a lot of discussion, didn’t want to second a vote they knew might be retracted. They either knew Octopus was innocent and therefore noticed the mistake more easily, or wanted to protect them so they (I mean Heron) made a long post clearing them. For risking an awkward retraction, Beagle looks good off that. This is a longshot guess, by the way. I don’t think more than one Spiked would post a vote count, at least not near rollover, which adds to the Albatross and Gorilla aren’t connected theory. They likely had an internal one in the doc going. Not sure if Gorilla reposted it in his post where he just wrote the votes, or if he was just checking if he was going to die.
  13. Hey Ostrich, are you a blunt edged sword, because all you've got is a good point! I had assumed it was a by-product of ISOs elevating irrelevant details by virtue of their exhaustive nature, but I'm going to reconsider my read of their reads. I doubt Meerkat would intentionally use faulty data to craft a misleading argument, because it is so easily disproven. Why is Beagle in the evil tier for you? I like the approach of voting off someone who killed a villager last round, although I'm struggling to figure out who was evil that was leading at any point. My best guesses are Swan and Gorilla, but I don't feel great about either. Perhaps some of those one vote wagons never took off because there was no Spiked willing to be the usual second vote, but it feels unlikely that we were completely wrong all day.
  14. Hey Meerkat, do you possess Jason from Greek mythology's greatest crew members, because you've got the best argo-men so far. It appears you've tracked the vote movements, so can you tell us if you think Octopus moved in reaction to your post ,the one that killed the Chameleon wagon by saying there wasn't enough pushback to it, so they wanted to move to a safer vote, or was it in anticipation of teammate Swan becoming the leading wagon and needing a counter wagon, or was Swan unrelated to any of this? Yes please. Thank you! Not responding to any of the PMs sent my way is part of the playstyle I have adopted for this game. I mean no individual offence to anyone for ignoring them.
  15. Are you unnecessarily renovating my backyard, because I don't like how you're narrowing that pool. If anyone receives a PM from the Seeker, kindly confirm their identity by asking them to tell you what your role is, then stay quiet about it until at least the last third of the round. The Spiked now know the alleged Coinshot trusts Falcon and Falcon trusts them, and that they have been on in the last 14 hours. There's probably only a handful of people that meet that description, and they can continue narrowing it down based on Falcon's future votes.
  16. Sorry, I've got the hiccups. You should (hic) be a proud lumberjack (hic), because I like your log(ic). They've shown enough experience or coaching that I dislike clearing them for naivety. I don't recommend basing any votes on that though. Asking them to disprove your theory is unfair because it would have to involve revealing their identity. Are you a fugitive, because you deserve a-rest. Stop doing that. They might have mistook a doc conversation with Swan for a PM.
  17. Hey so you're not being protected by the Addams Family butler? That's less indicative of evilness. Good connection. What do you think the implications of this distribution are, Albatross?
  18. Part of me thinks that you're evaluating my potential to become an early resident of the region now known as France. Specifically that you think I'm Gaul-ible. But I mostly believe you. Unfortunately, that's the least intriguing response you could have given. I recommend not risking exposing your identity by providing enough writing for text analysis going forward. The "I" looks like Octopus' font, but it's too strangely positioned to be accidentally, so I think it's a different kind of fish. (A red herring.)
  19. So you're a glass half full kind of person. Weren't Coinshot and Spiked kills going to be differentiated? I'd like to revisit my theory about some Tineyes possibly being evil. Is that three or four messages, GM? Why do you think you survived?
  20. Are you a wrong turn, because you're accidentally right. I understand the thought process behind lengthy roleplay posts better than the shorter ones Octopus has sprinkled through the thread. It's not a strong read, but I thought there was a possibility they were self conscious of their lurking or felt the need to talk but didn't have anything to say and dashed off a quick post to cover themselves. Scanning me is also a perfectly valid option. Is this a good time to mention that Chameleon PMed me yesterday asking why they shouldn't vote for me, which I thought showed a surprising (but not necessarily evil) confidence that they would survive? I get the sense that many people are hung up on this.
  21. This game is like a rock band, because groupies are allowed. I don't think that's a discussion I want to continue. So I'll agree to disagree. Thanks for the response, I apologize for not looking up your previous reasons.
