  1. Chashen found herself shocked by how much everyone was talking. Were they not struggling as hard as she was to keep her thoughts straight? Did they not find themselves repeating the same thought over and over again? Well, if that was the case, then Chashen resolved to simply try harder at keeping up. She began to listen more intently to what people were saying, even coming up with thoughts of her own. And by Odium's name she was proud...or, well, not Odium anymore. But she was proud of her thoughts. "I think that we should be careful about letting people know which forms we take. If the warforms are obvious about their new forms, or any form really, the traitors amongst us will be able to tell who they should avoid attacking or who they should go after. And I also don't like deciding that anyone is working Odium just because they might take a form that we find suspicious. We should definitely keep an eye on everyone, but going after someone simply for taking a certain form seems foolish to me. It honestly seems to me like [Cream Tuatara, since they don't have a character] is trying to get us to reveal things we shouldn't and to suspect things we don't necessarily need to suspect." Chashen paused, looking around as she realized how loud she'd been talking. "That might just be me though." [OOC: Gonna put a vote count here in case anyone needs one Tuatara (2): Falcon, Heron Weasal (2): Scorpion, Vulture Rhino (1): Lion Swan (1): Rhino]
  2. Chashen, daughter of Nemu and Varnis, mother of the great general Karna, wore dullform as she fled all she had ever known and had worked for. It was scary, though she found it difficult to think much about that. She was worried about being found, about what would happen to Karna, but most of all she was worried about surviving. As they were walking, she began to talk aloud, to see what others thought they should do. "I think we need to take warform as soon as we can," she said. "We will need protection for the coming times. We will also want some to take scholarform, to get us more gems we can use. It will be easy to run out." She paused for a moment, blushing. "We might also want some people to take mateform. If we are going to really make our own new nation and people, we will need to start growing our population. Plus, the bond between oncemates is very strong, and may help us stay together in these trying times." Chashen grimaced. She had taken mateform a few times, mostly because of an obligation to have children, and had found each experience distasteful at best. "Mediationform will also be useful to help solve any...problems that might arise during our journey. But we should be careful who we let take that form. Just because they will be very persuasive once in that form doesn't mean we can trust them." Chashen paused. "Also, we must consider the possibility that, if there is a mavset-im amongst us, they could simply kill one of us and disguise themselves as one of us. Always be careful with who you trust." Chashen thought for a minute. "Though, if there truly is one of the Fused here amongst us, then perhaps there are not as many agents of Odium amongst as as we might instinctively assume. Perhaps only 3 of them, making 4 total with the Fused."
  3. @Quartz Zebra You might want to try that again.
  4. I would argue these two cases are very different. In LG72, Ventyl was already under suspicion and Araris was trying to get in front of that. It was also four cycles into the game and Ventyl was mostly inactive. Croc, on the other hand, was active and under basically no suspicion any more egregious than any other player could have been at the time. Speaking of which, let us look at the reasonings for voting Croc, shall we? None of these really stand out as a super strong reason that would lead to a necessary bussing. The reasons do make sense. Jumping on Kangaroo for the shard reveal suggestion was weird, but Croc wasn't the first to do so, and they weren't the first vote for that same reason. I'm not entirely discounting the possibility of someone on the Odium team being included in the list of those who voted on Croc, but I don't believe it was any of the later votes. Not when they had the chance to save Croc.
  5. Nihalin tucked the rock samples into his satchel for later study when he was back with his research instruments on Roshar. Now, where did that Elsecaller go?. They were supposed to transport him back to Roshar. He spotted the aloof Inkspren first, standing and talking quietly with its bonded human. Perfect. "I'm ready now," Nihalin said as he approached the Radiant. They nodded. Nihalin closed their eyes as they were transported back to the physical realm. It wasn't exactly a pleasant feeling, nor one he wished to watch. "Do you think I can get a shardbearer to accompany me to the Shattered Plains? I've heard there are stone buildings beneath the layers of crem. I'd love to collect some of that." The distinct layers, if he could get someone to cut the rock far enough to get the border between building stone and layered crem, would make and incredible addition to his collection. The Elsecaller rolled their eyes and strode off, their business with him done for the day. I guess I'll need to find someone else. He should be grateful, though, that he'd gotten an Elsecaller to help him at all. Most couldn't transport someone like that yet. ***** If you can't tell, I'm claiming residence on Roshar. I figure if Odium knows anyways, what's it matter if everyone else knows too? Just a few thoughts about the death. I'm highly suspicious of Gecko at the moment. They seemed to have voted very late in the turn and would likely have meant the death of Kangaroo had they not arrived in time to cast their own self-preservation vote. With Croc being a Forger, I doubt the rest of Odium's crew would have been willing to bus them so early in the game. That is a very useful ability for them to have and want to keep. One of the early votes on Croc might be an elim, done for distancing and with the knowledge that the Braize vote would give them an extra edge in keeping Croc alive. Or it got to a point they couldn't remove it without the extra suspicion. That's a pretty big might, though. I also suspect, because of the above two reasons, there may be about two of Odium's in the group that voted on Kangaroo, Gecko being most likely among them.
  6. I wouldn't mind some people to talk to about rocks. Prudence, if you would be so kind, grant me some PMs. Maybe three of the ones named after rocks?
  7. Nihalin was curious about the rocks in Shadesmar. Would the glass-like substances retain their structure in the physical realm? He was determined to find out. With the careful precision from decades of experience, Nihalin used a chisel to cut a chunk of rock from the ground. It would make a wonderful addition to his collection of rocks. He had some from different regions of Sel, Roshar, Scadrial, and more. This would be his first from Shadesmar. People thought Nihalin was strange. They were probably right, but that wouldn’t stop him. Rocks were fascinating. They told the history of a world within the layers of compressed minerals. Scadrial’s was probably the most fascinating. He’d ventured into the network of caverns to find evidence of the world of ash—and even the world before the world of ash. But today it was Shadesmar. Such a curious place, full of glass of all things. Why glass? He needed to convince a Lightweaver, or maybe an Elsecaller to help him safely get to the bottom of the ocean of glass to see if there was any difference to the ground there. Does Shadesmar’s ground hold the same traces of a changing world as the other worlds? *-*-*-*-* Hi! Excited to see everyone here! I really need to do another read of the rules before getting too far, as I don't really know what anyone can do. Let's get the stabbing started, shall we? Odium sure won't wait. Scarlet Octopus for reasons.
  8. Great game. Congrats to the elims, and sorry for being so inactive. I have the unfortunate habit of saying nothing when my opinion has been voiced by another, and with such stellar analysis from so many people, I didn't feel the need to talk.
  9. I've been rereading the thread, and I agree on Meerkat and Falcon suspicions, but I believe that I am slightly biased towards voting Meerkat because Falcon has been more memorable as a contributor (sorry Meerkat). I will temporarily vote Meerkat while I read over the thread once more.
  10. Because of Rhino's vehemence that Lion is an elim and my suspicion on Rhino, I am tempted to think that Lion is village, though I'll be re-reading the thread. EDIT: Okay, so the main reason for suspicion on Lion was Lion's proposal of a lynch on Iguana, who had lynched an elim. That was a strange move, and the reasoning just didn't seem right. Lion later backed down when many players were confused by Lion's actions. Rhino was very much for the Lion lynch, and presumably still wishes to lynch Lion. I am moderately certain that Rhino is an elim because Albatross seems trustworthy and has claimed that Rhino was lying about having a PM between them. Therefore, Lion is probably village unless Albatross is a mastermind genius who has been fooling us all by lying about the existence of a PM, and that seems unlikely given how little effort Rhino has put into defending the claim.
  11. Sorry I haven't posted. Relatives were visiting, but they're all gone now. I personally don't know why Toucan and Iguana are the lynch targets, but I skimmed the thread so I might have missed something. I'll edit in a vote once I read the thread more carefully.
  12. Sam woke up on a fancy bed, a step up from the bed he'd had as a darkeyed child. It was still strange to him, the soft bed that suffocated him, but he had to get used to it. He quickly got dressed and rushed to the scene of the murder. The victim was supposedly a servant of the Lord of Hate, but that could be mere speculation. As he moved through the crowd that had gathered, he couldn't help but avoid their eyes. It still felt odd to walk among lighteyes as an equal, and the thought of his lovely dark brown eyes turning blue... Horrible. And yet it was happening. The body was covered in blood, and a sheet nearby was also covered in the stuff. Everyone surrounded the corpse, and he couldn't see well enough to analyze anything. There wasn't enough discussion to even speculate on who was a servant of Odium. He sighed and walked back to his tent.
  13. I am terribly sorry, didn't see Cream's post Tho I do appreciate Fuchsia's selfless decision to let me get a share of the loot Thanks
  14. "You should at least make your lies believable. How exactly were you going to get Devotion? Hoid died with only Odium in his possession. Unless Chameleon was Devotion... If that's the case, thanks for letting us know that information. I have to wonder how you were so accurate at knowing Shards though. Sounds like people have loose tongues in the Dead Doc."
  15. "Well, this is annoying. By dividing our efforts among the HAIL JOE faction, we'll end up lynching none of them, and end up with one of my faction mates lynched. Obviously I don't want that, so I'll come clean." NoReh cracked his knuckles, enjoying the sound it made. "Dragonfly, Mouse, and I are part of the same faction. After we learned of Axolotl targeting himself and one other person with two actions, we got him to claim a neutral role, and had Mouse PM him. We learned that he was Hoid, and that he wanted a faction, he didn't care which, to win by the Adonalsium Reborn condition. We got into a bidding war over Odium with the HAIL JOE faction. I had made a separate PM with Hyena to further my faction's outreach. Axolotl only knew of Dragonfly's and Mouse's alignment, so I placed a vote on Axolotl to do some distancing. Unfortunately, Hyena leaked my alignment to Axolotl and I had to pretend to be a hammer vote. I wasn't happy about this and vented loudly to all of Scadrial. After we realized Axolotl was doomed, I finally switched my vote to seal the deal." He breathed, happy to get that off of his chest. "Only Dragonfly and Mouse are part of my faction. The rest of the votes on Chameleon most likely came from HAIL JOE which is Hyena's faction. I suspect its remaining members are Tuatara, Crocodile, and Flamingo. Obviously they've piled onto the only lynch that doesn't kill one of their own. If you want a chance of lynching Odium, do you really think it would be with us, the faction who only committed half way to Hoid. Or do you think it went with the faction that worked with him to kill Odium in the first place? It's your call."
  16. Okay, I'm honestly surprised the Cream Tuatara lynch went as far as it did. Yes, it's possible they have Odium. However, it's also possible that their faction mate Charcoal Hyena might also have Odium, and it's dumb splitting the vote between two members of the same faction.
  17. Since this is coming up: So, it's possible that Hoid stashed Odium in the Vessel of his choosing. And with Ambition on his side, he could theoretically keep stealing Shards as a Shade. He would of course die from the action, but the Shard he stole would go to the person he last invested in, the person who got Odium.
  18. I know it's sacrilegious to vote before the last 3 hours, but we need a place to discuss from. I'm voting on Cream Tuatara. His knowledge of biology is too powerful to go unchecked.
  19. "Well, I'm getting tired. I don't believe my faction gains anything from working with Axolotl in lynching Chameleon. I will be interested to see what happens, but not right now."
  20. @A Joe in the Bush What happens when Shades submit their action? I presume they die, but I'm honestly not sure.
  21. "Oh? You're misinformed. According to the rules, if a Shard fails to invest in a player during the most current Day Cycle. It passes to a random faction member." @A Joe in the Bush what happens if a Vessel is the last member of a faction? Where does the Shard go? "In any event, Axolotl has the power to decide where the Shard goes. If he invests in anyone, it goes to that player on event of his death. It's a hell of an incentive. 'Vote for Chameleon and I give you a Voidbringer.' And if he dies, that Voidbringer becomes much more powerful. Or hell, he might even be offering the Shard up at this point. And of course, everyone wants Odium's power, although few would admit it." NoReh studied the room for a moment. "So, we have a choice. We can lynch Hoid, and unleash Odium to a faction of his choice. Now I don't know about you, but I'm not sure my faction would receive that gift. So, let's consider the alternative. We spare Violet Axolotl, and lynch someone else instead, like Pearl Chameleon. So, what do we gain by this? Simple." He smiled coldly. "We stop Odium. I don't honestly believe that Violet would give up his only bargaining chip. If he does, he's very likely to get lynched for his trouble. Attacking anyone with Odium will likely bring that faction's wrath down upon him, especially if the shattered Shard is stolen. Odium's only use to Hoid is as a bargaining chip, that cannot be used. So let's keep it that way. Odium will remain tucked away in a neutral party, unable to kill anyone and anything." With that, NoReh put his arms behind his head. "It's your call."
  22. Vote Count: Indigo Weasel (1): Onyx Flamingo Violet Axolotl (4): Indigo Weasel, Saffron Iguana, Pearl Chameleon, Mint Heron Saffron Iguana (2): Violet Axolotl, Charcoal Hyena Oxblood Beagle (1): Quartz Zebra Quartz Zebra (1): Cream Tuatara NoReh listened closely to the conversation. The evidence against Violet Axolotl, was mixed, but still concerning. For starters, Odium had gone missing. While that was obviously concerning, there was no evidence Violet was the one who had taken the Shard. In fact, the Hidden Garden could still have the Shard and just be lying about it getting stolen. The other points were more interesting. Namely, Axolotl had been spotted taking more than one action. That could imply several things, but boiled down to having some type of power. Furthermore, they had accurately ascertained where Shards had been located. Overall, it was worrying, but not a solid case that Violet had a secret role. Still, it was better to be safe rather than sorry.
