Anniversary Game 5/Anonymous Game 4: One Final Blaze of Light
Mint Heron replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, this was annoying. NoReh was growing more impatient with each argument. Of course no one could decide on a lynch target. They were each part of their own factions, with their own faction goals. One faction wanted Axolotl dead, another wanted Lion dead, and on and on it goes. Unfortunately, with everyone having too much power, it was unlikely that anyone would die from this lynch anyways. The issue was Scadrial. By simply staying on that planet, one could survive the lynch indefinitely. And if they had Shardic power, a cautious player would have an extra action to spare. It only prolonged the inevitable. So, in terms of who NoReh wanted to lynch, it didn't really matter. As long as they weren't in his faction, why should he care? Still, it would be disadvantageous to not place a vote. It would be better to lynch someone who was not on his faction. So, he would vote for Indigo Weasel. No hard feelings, but something had to be accomplished, and stalling the game out for so long was just unproductive.- 1226 replies

Anniversary Game 5/Anonymous Game 4: One Final Blaze of Light

"What a waste." NoReh's bones creaked as he sat up and stretched. Sel was especially boring this time of year. His recently acquired body had evidently been hiding here to avoid the ensuing chaos. Obviously, that was a poor strategy. Staying still was only appropriate when you had something to hide from. That was why NoReh had taken account of those lingering on this planet. The power available here was entirely passive, and only useful if one wanted to make alliances. So, it was a simple question. If the locals were taking advantage of the power, then it was simple to verify. Just find out who they had contacted. If they hadn't contacted anyone, then obviously something was amiss, and it would be interesting to learn their excuses. He gathered the list up, and three names stuck out. @Charcoal Hyena @Salmon Meerkat @Saffron Iguana had all languished in the walls of Atlantis. Were they simple Elantrians, or were they something more? It would be easy enough to see. All he needed was verification from outside sources. So, if they were in Private Messages with anyone, they were cleared. If not, well, then that would be more interesting.- 1226 replies

Anniversary Game 5/Anonymous Game 4: One Final Blaze of Light

I have technically made a single post, in my defense. Toucan's claim of being a neutral (or at least the only member of some faction) seems reasonable. I'd prefer not to lynch them, because I've lynched actual neutrals in anonymous games before, and because they generally feel honest. Am I allowed to say who I think a player is? My thoughts on Weasel primarily depend on that.- 1226 replies

Hello people. I haven't been active whatsoever in thread, but know that I do exist, have been doing at least a small amount of things elsewhere, and am not important at all in any way. But for the record, I think Toucan is generally telling the truth. Also, I'm like 80% sure I know who Weasel is. That is all.- 1226 replies

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Mint Heron replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"And so the story comes to an end. Sadly, I will be leaving now, I have other places to be. This party has been entertaining to a fault. Watching all of you scrabble about between chulls was supremely enjoyable, and will make an excellent story to tell to my future victims. For now, I will leave this world, because apparently I am needed elsewhere. Not sure what exactly I was supposed to do here, but hopefully I did it and the cosmere is pleased with me. Perhaps I'll finally find those noodles I've been looking for for 3 centuries now. Seriously, those noodles are going to be extremely good when I find them. Away with you, chully!" The chull slowly plodded out of the grand dining hall covered in dead alethi bodies. The remaining Alethi court simply looked on, and decided it was best to move on with their lives instead of worrying about whatever Wit had been rambling about.- 1062 replies

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Mint Heron replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"I've already addressed your accusations in the last half hour, if you'll remember that. I cooperated with Kelek a turn ago to protect Klade. The turn before that, I was going to do that, but Kelek bailed so I tried and failed to protect Klade. This most recent turn I took no action as I forgot to put one in, having completed all my win conditions other than to stop the desolation. If you speak to Adolin (oh right he died. oh well), Liss, Drunk Beggar, and Kelek, and Klade they can account for most of the turns where I remembered to take actions. I'll extract the exact details if you really need them, but hopefully that should suffice along with my previous statements. I am not the killer."- 1062 replies

"Call me paranoid, but despite the fact that I trust Klade, I do feel as though there is a possibility that he may be lying. If he is the one with the win condition to kill all Kholins, what better way to turn the remaining individuals against the Kholins than to say one of them attacked him last night? Klade, would you be so kind as to fill us in on your win conditions? And Adolin, would you please confirm or deny whether you attacked Klade last night? I am still concerned about the idea that there are still multiple people teaming up to kill kholins, and am becoming worried about all the lying. This is empirical evidence of why chulls are greatly superior to you alethi..."- 1062 replies

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Mint Heron replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"I did indeed cooperate with him last night to save Klade. We've been discussing protections for a while now so I'm pretty sure Kelek is trustworthy. I had the win condition to protect two people, which is the one I just finished. Before that, it was to redirect and to roleblock 2 people. I redirected Jasnah's action, and I roleblocked... I think it was Amaram, I'll double check on that (it was Aesudan). I also have had 2 win conditions that have involved cooperating with people to some capacity or another. I also had the win condition to be the first to vote on a successful ostracization, which I got when I voted on Liss a while back. There were also some turns where I forgot to take actions, and a bunch of recent turns have been unsuccessful protect actions, either because of my action failing or no one attacking the person I protected. I also helped put up that Chull notice, if you didn't already figure that out. I don't remember all the people who I've cooperated with, but I've done a lot of cooperation when I take actions, so I have plenty of people who can account for various actions. In recent turns, I've tried protecting Klade twice and tried protecting Amaram, and I cooperated with Drunk Beggar a while back to roleblock Aesudan, which apparently counted as a protection because I must have prevented her from taking a kill action. As for the turns where I took no action, they were also the ones where I didn't say anything. Now, the only thing I have left to accomplish is to stop the desolation, and I am interested in figuring out the puzzle that lies before us. If that's not enough information, I'll pull out exact specifics, but I'm also habitually lazy and if this is enough, I'd rather not have to figure out exactly what action I took on what turn."- 1062 replies

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Mint Heron replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"At last, I have completed all of my win conditions other than to stop the desolation! I will inform you shortly of what my other actions were, as previously I felt that informing the party of my goals would be detrimental to their success. I fear that the death of Navani only further reinforces my interpretation that someone desires the death of all Kholins. This, I fear, is not the greatest thing, and we must identify who at this point could be benefiting from the death of all Kholins. Some roleblocks being flung around may be in order, or more action spying. We must identify who the killers are before Jasnah and Adolin are killed, who are, if I remember correctly, the only kholins still alive at this point. Now excuse me, I am going to relieve myself somewhere not occupied by dead bodies, chulls, or alethi. I will return and deliver that memorandum for Elhokar that I promised a while back. Also, may I note that if all Kholins die, I'm probably the best qualified person to hold the throne. Which would be entertaining for a day or two, and then I would probably get bored and send the entire nation to attack the horneaters or something. So yeah, it's best if Jasnah and Adolin remain alive."- 1062 replies

"You do realize that A. Elhokar is dead. He's not very suspicious when he's dead. B. I have no win conditions that hurt or benefit anyone. I just do my own thing, and help people as I see fit. I have absolutely no interest in all these deaths, plus I have more important actions to be taking than killing people. If I even could kill someone. So while maybe you shouldn't rely on me, blaming me for all these deaths is very much the wrong path to take."- 1062 replies

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Mint Heron replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"Clearly someone has it out for the Kholins. Thankfully I have enough knowledge of the court to do a bit of investigating, as soon as I complete my final win condition (other than stopping the desolation). Thankfully, no one wants to kill me or my chull, or seriously they will suffer the consequences." Then, my brilliant mind clicked and an idea came into my head. "What if we scanned suspicious individuals for how many spheres they have? Don't kills let you get the spheres of the person you murder? So then if we someone has an abnormal amount of spheres, they are guilty. Trust me, even if I'm the only one who comes out of this alive, I still don't enjoy being stabbed, so I have as much interest in finding them as anyone else. Elhokar's death is such a shame I might give a memorial for him if I have a bit of time between stealing all these paint brushes."- 1062 replies

Awkward silence filled the room. “Well.” I said casually. “That was exciting. Anybody have another unmade to fight? I think chully here is on a bit of an adrenaline rush.” And indeed, the chull was moving slightly faster than it normally would. Exciting!- 1062 replies

My mighty chull was not fast, but no unmade would mess with a being so lumbering yet stupid. "Remember the tale of the Chull!" I shouted. "The Chull won against a whitespine despite the obvious disadvantage. And as I've been telling the Alethi elite since the day I was hired, you are all chulls! You can handle this thing!" It took a true genius to both inspire and insult people at the same time.- 1062 replies

I peeked out of the restroom which I had stopped to use. "What's all the racket about? Did one of the nobles let one loose? I swear, I've always known that if you hold that in too long, when it finally comes out, all damnation breaks loose." Then I noticed the unmade. I looked at my trusty chull, and hopped upon him. Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Mint Heron replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I stood up on top of my chull of speaking. "Once there was a bunny and a turtle." I stopped for a moment, then realized that Roshar didn't have bunnies or turtles. "Sorry, there was a chull," I looked down at the chull that was now sleeping, "and a whitespine. The whitespine had snuck up on the chull, but the chull was slightly smarter than your average chull, and began to converse with the whitespine. 'You old whitespine, you've been pursuing me for many years. I feel like we should resolve this in a civilized manner.' The whitespine considered. 'Ok. I'll challenge you to a duel. If I win, I get to eat you. If you win, I'll leave you alone for forever.' 'Ok,' said the chull. 'As you chose the manner, I will choose the contest. I challenge you to a race. A race across the plains of Alethkar.'" The crowd of nobles finally began to recognize the vague images I was creating with the dust from the chull and the various other particles the party had made a mess of. A chull, and a whitespine, poised to cross the plains. "The whitespine was confident of victory, and promptly started running at top speed when the appointed time came, only sparing a glance for the lumbering chull behind him. 'I can probably run all the way across and come back to eat him before he gets halfway!' And so the whitespine ran." "Unfortunately for the whitespine, the chull happened to be good friends with the Stormfather, who agreed to give the intelligent chull some aid. Before half the day was out, the whitespine saw a highstorm approaching. Realizing his vulnerability on the open plains, he dashed back, past the chull, to where shelter lied. He waited out the highstorm inside a cave near where they had started the race, and then took off once it had passed. The chull had easily survived the highstorm, but had only made it a little farther. Confident in there being no more highstorms, the whitespine blew by the chull once again, making it farther than he had before. But then he sensed that all was not right, and looked behind him. Another highstorm was blowing in." "Once again the whitespine retreated, significantly exhausted by sprinting back and forth so many times. Realizing that the stormfather was helping the chull, he decided to wait until the chull got farther along, then catch up and win before the a highstorm could come upon him, driving him back. And so highstorm after highstorm passed, and the chull trudged along the landscape as the whitespine hid in the cave. When he figured the chull had gotten far enough along, he summoned his energy and ran across the landscape one last time." "Unfortunately for the whitespine, the chull had been intelligent enough to forsee this tactic, and the Stormfather had prepared one last highstorm to send the whitespine back, giving the chull the time it needed to finish the race. But the whitespine would not give up! He faced the highstorm, and decided to wait it out like the chull had been. But without the safety of a chull shell, the whitespine was tossed across the flat plains of Alethkar. When the highstorm passed, the whitespine no longer had any idea where it was, and the chull was victorious against the whitespine." I almost ended it there, but couldn't resist one last addition. "Of course a week later, a noble decided to hunt the starving whitespine, who killed him and his entire hunting party. Make of that as you will."- 1062 replies
