Are seven people alright with this distribution? Pearl Chameleon Of the three other two-votes, Mouse has contributed some at meaningful points, and Penguin is strictly inactive... and to be honest, that CR intrigues me. And there's Crocodile and Hyena voting on the same person. Intriguing. Saffron Iguana, as they seem to fit the lack of involvement despite being present.

Chameleon had been on after their vote, about 5 hours before I made mine iirc. Granted, Dragonfly had also been around without posting. And your main arguments didn't seem to be about non-contribution, only focused on the non-shifting votes. I agree that's something to look for, but there are many others who fit that category, including Pearl Chameleon, who I still think better fits the stable-vote-but-not-contributing category. And Magenta Albatross was still non-contributing (at least, they were until an hour ago). I understand that you weren't talking about it statistically, just that I was. It just feels like a trap to assume the Spiked won't do something unexpected. Following the optimal path is too much a paradox, because it becomes so predictable it becomes suboptimal. I do like the slip-up chances as a reason for your read, though. I hadn't considered that. Does this have any sway on your opinion on there being at least one Villager among Chameleon/Hyena/Ostrich? I do vaguely agree with Crocodile, in that a Spiked would follow through with a promise. But this is largely because Villagers have that expectation to be helpful as well. Regardless, I would much prefer to hear from @Pearl Chameleon themselves, and I feel decently confident in my vote from their Hyena vote being unreferenced. They haven't been on for 18 hours, though, and my read of Hyena is wavering from the vote on Kangaroo. There's also the point that I'd expect most people who would reach out to everybody, not to claim so in thread. But to be honest I haven't received other PMs that I myself haven't initiated, which means this is unlikely.

Amethyst Scorpion (1): Sapphire Elephant Azure Mouse (1): Sage Kangaroo Charcoal Hyena (3): Cream Tuatara, Pearl Chameleon, Salmon Meerkat Chartreuse Penguin (2): Amethyst Scorpion, Onyx Flamingo Ivory Dragonfly (1): Emerald Falcon Magenta Albatross (1): Ivory Dragonfly Melon Dingo (2): Coral Swan, Indigo Weasel Plum Rhinoceros (1): Mauve Crocodile Saffron Iguana (1): Mint Heron Well. That's not what I expected to happen. But sometimes that's what you get to work with. Mauve Crocodile does seem rather go-getting, which is appreciated. But I wish to hear more from Charcoal Hyena before interfering. What others see as non-engagement, I see a form of questioning, of following a laid-down string that no one picked up. That, and Reverse's conversations with Aylia have been entertaining, if not enlightening. I'd prefer that they continue. But I have little more to add, and an explanation from their own mouth would be best. I, for one, am not sure what to think of Emerald Falcon. They posted their own analysis in a format easier to pick apart, but I'm finding parts of it quite easy to do so. Hyena, Ostrich, and Chameleon claiming to PM everyone is likely more indicative of the kind of player they are, rather than their own alignment - I agree that the three openly claiming to do so all being Spiked is statistically unlikely, but I'm struggling to find a non-statistical reason for such, and that leaves plenty of likely Spiked who can remain silent. I agree on Cream Tuatara seeming Village, but as above I don't really agree with their conclusions. Same with Mauve Crocodile. But the vote on Ivory Dragonfly seems strange. Yes, Ivory Dragonfly did not mention their vote on Magenta Albatross in their most recent post. That post was two words, and clearly not a direct interaction with anything game-related. That's its own reason to wonder, but Dragonfly's hardly alone in it. And Albatross has not posted yet, yes. Is that a good reason to change directions? Why should Dragonfly reflect on their vote of an individual who has contributed nothing, in a situation where nothing has changed? Compared to Pearl Chameleon, who voted Hyena (who had received a lot of discussion and changes) Dragonfly just seems more innocent to me. The other two notes are related to me, and the two voting for me - I'm uncertain whether or not Swan knew I posted before they voted me, and I've already expressed the extent of my opinion on Indigo Weasel. This is rather odd to read, but I like it. But it does feel again like a strange thing to focus on. Maybe I just lack self-Preservation. Another note is less related to Falcon and more to Pearl Chameleon. Despite their claim that they would PM everyone, and a message I sent them several hours ago, I have yet to hear from them. They even read my message. I'm curious to hear if Falcon or others have had actual communications, or if that promise remains undelivered. I'm not voting Emerald Falcon for any of this. Dissent is not a sign of opposing alignments, and they are one of the few who has contributed to have dissent to oppose. Multiple parts of their post seem village to me, even a few of the flaws. But I will vote Pearl Chameleon, for the reasons above.

Reverse looked at the cooling slabs in the back of his shop with a hint of regret. They all looked fine, uniform, clear and all that. It just seemed soulless compared to his usual projects. This kind of industry was not something he was that used to. He liked making unique items, ones with flair. But he would make what was needed. And right now, Tyrian Falls needed windows. Reverse took a step back. The glass would be fine on its own, now. The best thing he could do would be to leave it alone. He'd heard the whispers of saboteurs around, but he imagined there were better things for them to try and break in this day and age. The mists wouldn't go through an open window much anyway, and attacking food or metal would be more disastrous. There was the possibility of hooligans breaking in, mimicking things they did not understand, but that was a risk of doing business sometimes. Better to lose a batch of windows than live life trying to find an activity more boring than watching paint dry. Besides, the glass was still quite hot. Anyone who messed with it would be in for a rather nasty surprise. So Reverse grabbed his coat and stepped into the town streets, heading for the town square, giving a few nods to those he knew. People came for him to advice from time to time. He wasn't entirely sure why. He was a glassblower, after all. Not a psychologist.

Yeah... I didnt actually know how synthkandra worked at that point... Sorry. You know, that post has an interesting timestamp. It just happens to have been posted on Thursday evening. I asked why you were talking about solving in PM and not in thread on Wednesday morning. You responded on Thursday afternoon, five hours before your (edited) wallpost. I doubt it takes five hours to write a wallpost.

C1 Weasel was talking quite a lot about reads and reasoning and gamesolving. C2, he didn't do that at all. When I asked during C2 about why he wasn't doing the solving and reads comments in-thread, he said he liked PMs better and wanted to think things through in PM first. However, during C1 he implied that he felt PMs were more risky, and said he'd heard about pocketing and sounded very cautious about letting PMs affect his reads. I've asked him if he's talking to others the same way he was talking to me. He hasn't answered yet, so I'm asking the thread now. What are your interactions with Weasel in PM?

AuRel's mind whirled. The Cody person wasn't a person. How had he missed it? And where was the not-Cody not-Kandra? How many of the others were not-Kandras? How many others could he not trust? And who, and what if he was killed and cut apart like that other person, and what would he do, what should he do now? What should he do if all the what-ifs happened? What if a not-Kandra tried to steal him? Should he--- he should. He would drop his bones and leave. He would survive, though he knew Harmony wouldn't be very happy with him. He would try to help from the shadows, but wouldn't show himself. Who could he trust to watch his back? Would anyone trust him to watch theirs? Groups of two weren't safe. The not-Kandras had gotten people already. Would groups of three work any better? Probably not. Someone else had been a not-Kandra too. If AuRel went back to the shadows, would the not-Kandra notice him still? They would. Not-Cody was a not-Kandra, and AuRel had made himself very visible to him. Too visible. He couldn't be invisible anymore, not here. Since he couldn't be invisible, he would have to be visible enough that someone would notice if his face was on a not-Kandra wearing his bones. Unable to hide the insecurity in his voice and the fear in his eyes, he asked "You're Atari, right? I'm Rel, can I stick with you? And can we find a third person and maybe a fourth and maybe we'll still not be safe anyway?"

Of course. Until last night, Falcon was village. (unless I'm wrong about how the conversions work, in which case I'm wrong) If Falcon was originally village, it's possible it was for pocketing *thinking* @Elbereth? Protocol?

The more PMs there are, the more places there are for the Elims to slip up. Actually I was asking a question and pointing things out, and nobody's answered my question yet. Do Tineyes get to know anything special??? @Amethyst Scorpion, since you want me to make assumptions about the tineye message, please answer. I don't like making assumptions without information that contributes directly to the assumption. And actually I didn't invalidate my read, I just moved it from 'no read' to "CONFUSION??????" The fact that I had a read at all meant I was paying attention to that player and that's good, because it means I'll continue to notice and (try to) read that player. (also no read is very different from null read IMO) I didn't invalidate my read, I said my read confused me. As for the standard dont claim routine, is there a reason I shouldn't? I wasn't actually doing it for those nonexistant things called "village points," I was doing it because if one of each elantrian dies, elantrian actions have problems working, and I don't like that idea. Also because the roleclaim that's been made could make the claimer a target.edit: wrong game sri

Sooooo Do tineye get to know anything? Bc this message seems... interesting. It talks about stealing the salmon, and there's a Salmon Meerkat. It has the bit about past lives helping guide the current life, and that's kinda like the conversion mechanic? tho that's probably me just reading too much into it and seeing things where nothing's there. It talks about getting something something stuck in a darkity place and maybe thats death or elimhood? But only listen to my good ideas not the bad ones and I'm pretty sure tineyes don't usually get to know more stuff than villagers do but... Also I think Crocodile might be one of the chaos demons and thats why my read is all wonky Also also the thing I meant earlier was that players who've played should know not to claim important/nice Village roles because then the elims want you deaded or converted. I'm sorry I explained that badly (and by that I mean didn't even finish the entire thought) AuRel tipped his head sideways in a manner he'd observed meant confusion. "Your companions don't seem to agree with you about the lone wolf bit, and I feel like it's weird to want less help when more people want to kill you." He straightened. "And no, I'm not a professional, but I do know some of what's going on - I'm not THAT bad at watching. Anyways," he continued, putting a little too much emphasis on the S of anyways, "you havent answered my question. Are you you? And how can one be sure if they are theirself?" He seemed a little... stiff... as he talked, as if every movement was deliberate. As if every movement had to be deliberate.

"Umm... I'm not sure if I could teach it?" He paused and thought for a moment, then spoke carefully. "It has to do with not doing some of the things you do without thinking about, and it has to do with walking differently, and it has just a bit to do with shoes. "I... think... so...? I'm not sure how I... could be not I..." He trailed off, then remembered the Cody person's last question. "Sorry. It's Rel." "How do you do your quiet moving? And do most professional Mistrunners walk by their lonesomes in places like this?" I don't think I like Crocodile. Gutread null- probably... just a general HMMMMM I guess. This part is oddish. It seems calculated kinda? to make us associate fun with Croc, which is a thing that is manipulation and meant to make folk gutread Croc more village because he's fun Also if Croc's not a new Werewolf/Mafia player he should know to not claim and Croc doesn't feel like a new Werewolf/Mafia player. HOWEVER, if Croc's quoting accurately, those feel like good, game relevant points and I'm not sure if that should mess with my read or not... (edit)TL;DRSummary: I think I gutread Croc null- and maybe headread Croc null+, depending on the results of a fact check I'm going to get around to sometime. (probly tomorrow or the day after) Is it weird to read a player two different ways with my two different brains? (skullbrain and gutbrain)

AuRel was good at hiding. He had to be. Always quiet, always watching, trying to figure out the people. So strange to him sometimes, so hard to figure out, to understand. He was supposed to watch and listen, to figure out how to imitate them. He'd been out here for (How many lifetimes now? Nevermind) a long time and still hadn't learned what he needed to. Now, though, with imposters ready to weed out the weak, the separate, the invisible, he couldn't afford to hide. He walked up behind the Cody person ~silent always silent~ and tapped him on the shoulder, asking the first question that came to mind. "What's your opinion on trees?" edit: @Fuchsia Ostrich

To me, group PMs are kinda scary bc there are more chances for elims to be there too. Also they're weirder bc if I'm talking to just you I feel weird abt talking to just you when there's a person I'm kinda leaving out of the conversation.
