  1. The silver mist spun about aimlessly over and around the threads of gold that crisscrossed through the air. This particular circumstance was nothing like anything this Unmade had ever faced before. Magic users from other places were usually wise enough to stay away from the places that the Unmade covered, and nothing else would persuade her to come into an area so heavily protected. Those who resided in this sheltered location were unaware of the unique opportunity they had been given. She may be strong enough to awaken the dreams of those who lay sleeping, but she was not strong enough to ward off their advances against her. Of course, that wouldn't always be the case. The Radiants had a few more weeks, true, but the timer had started ticking... Miles away in Colorado, an oath snapped. Then another. Sha-thoexis moved mindlessly towards the golden strands, some unknown instinct driving her. The mist mixed... All at once, Draug felt something. He shivered. Sha-thoexis was gone, wasn't she? Even if not, surely she couldn't attack them. That would be the same as attacking herself. All the same, he was wary. This dream was as much anyone else's as it was his, so the signs might be different. He watched the nearby house with unease. Were those flames burning brighter? "It might not be as easy as that," he said, turning to respond to Rob's question. "This is still a dream; you can't just command yourself to wake up." @I think I am here. A cracking noise came from the ruins. Draug spun around just in time to see the ruins of the house finally give into the flames and collapse. He took a step backward. "Guys..." he said, nervously. Suddenly, the door to the house next door opened, and a woman stepped out. All down the street, similar things were happening at other houses, the inhabitants stepping out onto their doorsteps. Slowly and deliberately, they turned to look at the party. Their eyes were completely black. Draug gasped. "She's attacking."
  2. Daa hummed happily as Neil entered, right behind Deteca. Neil's face lit up as he saw the seon, and he quickly hurried over.
  3. Silence sighed darkly. Do you know how much trouble it is for us to fix the fourth wall in this thread? And we do, believe it or not. Even when it falls to pieces literally as we are rebuilding it. We've put up with it for a while now. But now? Now that you've made a Narrator out of a character? A character that belongs to everyone? You make a mockery out of our efforts. You have run out of our goodwill. Down below, the mimes started chanting in the same uncanny anti-noise that Silence spoke. Each cube of Narrativium began to glow...
  4. Someone darted out of the alley and poked Dedne, then scurried back the way they had come. He stared in the direction they'd gone and debated following them for a second, then turned and started following his employer again.
  5. Clearly you don't know, then. Perhaps I should enlighten you. He raised his hand above his head and snapped. Mimes began to appear all over the field, each one carrying a small, glimmering cube.
  6. Just do it in the background. I won't mind. People do that all the time. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YouCantThwartStageOne I should think that should be obvious by now, Star.
  7. Because you can't stop Phase 1. You can't defeat the villain in the first chapter. To do so would violate the very principles this thread rests upon.
  8. I never claimed ultimate power. Never wanted it. But you were right that things are changing. A dark smile spread across Silence's face. No, he said. You can't. And do you know why?
  9. Narrator Master of Silence shrugged. Irregardless.
  10. Narrator Master of Silence snorted. Did I say kill?
  11. Narrator Master of Silence spoke silence. The tetherball vanished.
  12. Narrator Master of Silence through back his head and laughed and laughed for a minute or two, eventually trailing off into a dark chuckle. I exist on more than one thread, child. And I think you should know exactly how I could stop you. You should not assume that you know who I am, child. I never cared about your murders, Star. But you cannot make a Narrator out of a unbound character. It is forbidden. Xino let out a cry and crumpled to the ground, deathly pale. Narrator Master of Silence looked at the new Narrator with a glare of death. You dared try cut me off? he hissed. Not just me- every character my Author has? He turned, and spoke to all. This character stands in violation of the Cardinal Rule- attempting to destroy the story. I demand his immediate removal.
  13. Draug blinked as James and Shana vanished. In a blink, he followed after them.
  14. If you know that, remarked Narrator Master of Silence, then why would you think yourself safe from me?
  15. Silly girl, said Narrator Master of Silence. Whatever made you think that your arc was done?
  16. Narrator Master of Silence laughed disparagingly. For someone who claims to be a Narrator, your understanding on Narrative matters is appalling.
  17. Narrator Master of Silence turned. You, he hissed. An abomination. Something that should never have been made.
  18. He shook his head, disgusted. Oblivion take the fourth wall, he spat. You have done something worse.
  19. Narrator Master of Silence chuckled darkly. Yes, I suppose you have.
